I lost faith in the black community coming together and improving because some people are a huge lost cause. I'm practicing more self preservation like rich asian women do. I'm completely focused on improving my physical, mental and financial health.
I keep saying it’s so much more freeing when you finally burn the cape totally from the entire community. Look at black people as individuals both men and women like you would do for any race. There is no unity sadly
Unfortunately I have to agree. The mental illness is no joke at this point
It just really is so frustrating how people like Roda will make it that much harder for Black women who actually do get attacked to be taken serious.
We still should be offering up protection to one another. Especially our little girls 💅🏾👧🏾
White women are notorious liars and still get outpouring support regardless of the situation.
That seems like an issue within the community that’s our own fault.
I almost lost my life in a domestic violence situation and literally nobody took me serious or believed me. They let my ex keep his phone while they arrested him, booked him, then released him back into my apartment to do it again. The system of domestic violence is out of control and the victims are often treated like crap when they report the abuse. This was my second one too. The first one got arrested and was able to get the arrest expunged. That was when he held me up against the wall when I was 4 months pregnant. Because there were no bruises he gets off. Guy was nuts arrested while wearing my x-small leather jacket. Same man that told me he tried to commit suicide (lie) then bandaged both his wrists and met me for a wellness check at Applebee's. He ate just fine. I paid...I've been paying child support now on a child he didn't even want. Thought he could trap me in a relationship. When I left him he went for custody. He family had money. Same with this ex. He learned from him on what you can get away with. Reporting today is a freakin joke. If Alice gets found in the closet chopped up...ohhh why didn't she report. Maybe she did and that's why she's cold in a closet. I pray God something changes. DV is no joke and if it's not "dealt with" will turn into India...where that crap is allowed and widely practiced. New man came into my life to save me from the ex...I'm decentering men because I only attract narcs. My kids don't deserve this pain. Signed: A mother's broken heart in a BROKEN system
You’re telling it right.
Ppl already felt that way about y’all. Nothing she did or didn’t do is gonna change that
I saw a video with a BW who was really hit with a brick for turning down a man's advances, and nobody heard about it. The scammer Roda got all the attention.
Interesting.
I remember that situation. Wasn’t it the same time that other bw got thrown in a dumpster?
Did that happen before Roda? If so, it Seem like she heard about that story and spammed the buzz of that with this lie so when people look up "somali women get hit with brick" she would come up , Instead of the real story taking the attention , support and motion from the real victim🤔
If ppl already don’t give af about y’all, nothing any BW says or does is going to change that. I hope y’all learn to accept that one day
@@BlackGirlLovesAnime6that situation I still don't even understand on the women's part. So you mean to tell me a Woman who wasn't on drugs or drunk completely sober was trying to force herself on a minor and when she found it it was a minor she continued to do so but y'all care more about the fact she was thrown in a dumpster than her actions?... Then you reward her with free money and a make over and don't try to set her straight on forcing herself on minors.
Imagine a group of Men rewarding a Potential Pedo that got attacked for forcing himself on a young Woman by giving him free money and a fresh Hair Cut...Women would be LIVID!!
It annoys me that Roda's scheme is only going to strengthen these BM and BMW’s dismissal towards the black women who are true victims of violence and mistreatment…SMDH 🤦🏾♀️
Yes, it is sad.
Girl black men was already against us whether she told the truth or not.
The issue is that black women need to support each other no matter what. If we all we got, then so be it
@@donttalktomeyoureannoying8736 FACTS!
What do you mean by "strengthen"?? BM were already trying to justify why she deserved to be hit before it was confirmed to be a hoax. BM still believe tory lanes didn't shoot meg and that wasn't a hoax. People need to stop pushing a narrative that BW have to be perfect victims in order to be believed by BM because it really doesn't make a difference...
And what about the two deranged BM that claimed to be involved/witnesses the incident knowing it didn't happen? Do you think BW will stop believing BM because of them LMAO?
You mean the same way when BM are victims y'all just as equally don't care and continue to have disdain towards us anyway as if everyone of hands down is guilty. Whether the story is believed or not at least y'all have an abundance of people coming to help regardless but where's that same regard for the reverse.
braids are giving✨
The Somali community never liked for two reasons. The conservative Muslim ones were disgusted by her clubbing and having a westerner approach to life. Another side hated the weird obsession on being a victim and portray our culture as wild and weird or underdeveloped. So we already knew her a bit, she was always screaming some wild statement of men doing things to her in our language. Now on Somali twitter the only thing you can find is mocking and memes, but it would be great if they came out strongly to sound the siren over this scam.
Scrolling through the comments and once again i need bw to STOP accepting other's L's. What roda did is disgusting but that is her L and her L alone. Period. Also, i still want to know if her and that dude were scamming ppl together...that interview he did with tonya gave that energy
You make sense and I to would like to shift the conversation.,thank you so much for what you do Yanie
Thank you ❤️
Thank you, Yanie for this video. I am so glad you said something about this. I am a Black woman who lives in an area of the United States that has a large population of Somali-Americans, and they do not identify as black. That was the first thing that made me suspicious of Roda- that, and the fact that her own community was completely silent. I dated a Somali man who was quite proud of his East African roots. While with him I was often referred to as "Black girl" by people in the Somali community. I also heard people with one Somali parent and one Black parent being referred to as a derogatory term for "mixed". Somali people here do not typically mix with Black people culturally and tend to stick to themselves. Women like Roda are outcasts in the Somali community. She co-opted Black women's struggle for a come up, and many of us fell for it out of hurt and resentment. Also, in a world where Black women experience various forms of violence at alarming rates, there is no reason to apologize for believing her. It was believable at first.
I'm Nigerian with some Somali friends. They are sweet girls who have been good friends to me, but the disdain with which they speak of their own black features bothers me a lot.
@@idi.h5460 Somalis have many features that other black people have, hence I said black features.
@@idi.h5460 I didn’t mention exceptions, not sure what you’re talking about. Just generally many of the features you are calling ‘Somali’ are also commonly present in other black people. If you disagree, that’s fine.
@@idi.h5460 , I don't know what term you are referring to, but the term I heard being used is not about looks. It is a word that is used to describe people of various mixed backgrounds, it isn't only used by Somali people, and it is generally viewed as being derogatory.
@@idi.h5460 Did you read my comment? I intentionally avoided saying the word because it is offensive, and not just to people with one Black and one Somali parent. Not all mixed people are mixed with Black. It is not a Somali term. It is a term that is used to describe people of various mixed backgrounds (not just people with one Black and one Somali parent), and it is generally viewed as being derogatory. You might be uncomfortable with my comment, but this was my experience. I said what I said.
I have no social media (just youtube and LinkedIn). I live in my happy little corner of the universe single, continuing to learn self compassion and love and minding my business. My friends ask me why I consume certain types of content.
I don't watch because I enjoy people yelling like CNN correspondents. I just want to know the types of violence I should expect when I go outside. We can only heal in community and relationship, but no one is there yet.
I agree 💯 Yanie her community did speak out that she was a liar mostly the menu label her a trouble maker. They target bw bcuz we are always being there for all bw.. All bw are not alike I didn't support her I smelled a fish. Great video glad u feeling better.
Giving an apology would probably be easier than defending a misinformed take. While I do agree most women especially black women are unprotected, talking about the women who lost their lives seems irrelevant in defense of your point, unless it’s to distract us from your original missed point.
Thank you for mentioning shadow work. I had my spiritual awakening back in 2022 and had to do a lot of shadow work over these years
The universe is not for play.
The frustrating/dishearting part abbout all of this is, Black women as a whole/collective will still get blamed, called a liar, called a scammer, and only give a certain sector of Black men/podcasters ammunition to further their denigration and hatred of Black women. And that's only because of the attention the internet got her. But overall, I'm with Yani that we need to be way more careful about protecting the resources and safe spaces we do have. And absolutely she should be held accountable for playing in our face. But I don't feel bad for believing it, because 9 times out 10, it really does happen to us. And nobody cares. The Roda Osman's and Carly Russell's are not the majority. The actions of one individual is not a reflection of all of us.
The whole “boyfriend air” and “single era” thing like no that boy was making you miserable and you finally set free 😭
I love your hair 😍
Facto Yanie, she sees herself as a preference
She’s back with him 😮😮😮
On the money, keep it up 😊
Isn’t Roda Somali? If so, culturally she wasn’t raised to be “Black” that’s American society everything is Black or White. I see why Roda spoke not as a preference but as “I’m not Black” as in Afro-American/Black-American so I don’t fall in the “undesirable category”. East African women are regarded as beautiful and exotic. So she was raised that she’s “beautiful, exotic” especially within her community. We may fall under the African race but the African race has so many ethnicities. Not just the multiple ethnicities in Africa (Zulu, Yoruba, Fula, Somali, Luo, Benga, Habesha, Tswana, etc.) but also the ethnicities born out of the transatlantic enslaved history (Afro-Latino/a, Afro American, Afro-Caribbean, Gullah, Afro-Brazilian, Cape Verdean, etc.) Some people feel like it’s a form of division but it’s not. We need to start acknowledging and respecting our differences, different cultures, perspectives, upbringing, educating each other whilst embracing our similarities.
😂😂😂 huh
I also felt Roda thinks she's a preference bc of some of her content pertaining to her hair & body Africans some have a certain disdain to black Americans and some of her content seemed like pandering to me now these are things that I found out over time initially I was going by the swelling of her face & her story was so familiar to real instances of this that yes I had sympathy
Where is the compilation of women reacting to the fact she lied
Passed out?? I hope you’re okay!
No Accountability whatsoever.
I thought she was talking about Hilary Clinton for second 😂😂😂
Me too. What Hillary are we talking about because I was like ummmm republicans are tryna send everybody back to their motherland AND take away the social security you’re investing in right now.😅😩🤍
When the anti christ takes power same people believe in Roda will be the same to believe satan is god 😮sad but true
These birds are lost...
@13:00 so did men. Same information same video same everything but we could tell something was off. Zero accountability from her and zero accountability for you. I hope your channel is the next to go
❤❤❤
I learned from nab stephon clark to WAIT 🛑 until all the facts have been revealed before I give my support male or female.
Women will get an abortion quicker than they will get an IUD. For me was an effective birth control. But then again my tubes are tied since I was 24. I only got enough energy for my 2 kids. I can’t imagine having a bunch of children.
@ 50:58, I'd say it started with older millennials who's first presidential election they got to vote in was in 2000. Seeing how Bush basically stole that election from Gore kinda of scared quite a few of us. I didn't vote again until the last election where Biden was elected. I honestly don't know what I'm doing this time around. Any good independent candidates? lol
Yesss girlie see I’m childfree and dudes have an issue with that. Then I say well I’m not looking forward to being a single mother they lose their ish. On some how you know that’s going to happen then I ask ok you married your child’s mother (silence) yeah like I said I’m not going to be a single mother as I said. I’m happy with being 38 and no kids. I’ll take being wealthy auntie all day.
So beautiful ❤
35:38 Put a trigger warning on this video, please. I was not ready for the smamortion talk. Love you 🤗
46:34 Birth control and plan b fails when your taking antibiotics among other reasons.
As a man that was my first question is what did she do. Why would that be my first thought instead of instantly having sympathy for her? Well it's simple. I'm 40 and I have wisdom and experience with all types of people good or bad. She said someone a total stranger hit her in the face with a brick because she didn't give her number out. This is where my experience and wisdom kicked to wonder what did she do. Do men hit women? Yes. All the time. Do all men hit women? No. When do men usually hit women? In domestic violence situations meaning it's usually someone they live with. Criminal statistics show this is more than likely the case when a man hits a woman. So I asked myself. Well why did she get hit by a complete stranger simply because she didn't give him her number? So I thought about it and asked myself if this guy did this for this specific woman not giving him her number what would've made the last woman who didn't give him her number not be a victim to and so on and so further down. Men who have confidence to approach a female like myself do this because we lack fear of rejection and understand it's a percentage chance of this happening due to her simply having a boyfriend or husband or maybe you are not just that woman's type. The more you approach you begin to realize you get some and some you don't. If this guy hits women because he gets turned down but lacks fear of approaching a woman, what would be the chances of him getting away with this over the years without going to prison? The answer is 0% chance. You can't hit a woman in public and not eventually go to jail. I give it no more than it happening 2 times before your arrested. If you do it again after you've completed a sentence they will throw the book at you and I'm talking about 10 years at that point. So would Roda just so happen to be his first time? No. So the fact that he is out as a free man made me think she was lying as soon as I heard the video. Either she was lying or did something to him because men don't use that level of force on a female stranger typically. They'll fucked their mom, sister, aunt, girlfriend and wife up like that but not a stranger because a stranger is someone you can walk away from and you don't have built up anger with that person. If a man ia using that level of force on a stranger woman he's been attacked. At most he will verbally assault her or make threats. I've personally witnessed happen dozens of times watching a man get rejected by a woman. Verbal assault, and threats. Those men aren't confident either. Confident men will just get in the next female face within minutes. So I didn't initially know exactly what she was lying about but I knew something wasn't accurate about her story first time viewing it based off what I mentioned above. Mt wife didn't like my opinion at first but eventually saw what I was talking about and told me I was right once I made her use logic. My wife is very pretty in the face and has a killer curvy body with breast and ass and is around 145 lbs 5'4". Guys have always tried to holla at her as early as the 6th grade all the way to 38. I had to show her in her own experiences guys don’t do this and she admitted too at most you'll get cursed out for turning a guy down that is a stranger. The more attractive you are you get more guys constantly on a daily basis trying to talk to you. Attractive women of all people know the levels of how men deal with rejection. Their is always a right or wrong reason for someone attacking a person but failing to ask the why question can get a person in jail. This is why when the police asked her questions she didn't want to give them straight answers. They have to ask questions because it's their job. If not random people can literally punch you in the face and you beat their ass and they can simply call the police and you'd go to jail for defending yourself. Someone can try to rob you and you shoot them abd they can call the police on you and say you shot them. If the people don't ask you why questions you can get away with alot of shit and if we men and the police didn't ask the why questions to Roda Osman you women who donated wouldn't have gotten your money refunded back from Go Fund me.
WAIITTTTT A MINUTE..Hol upp Morgan is back with randommanfromAtlanta❔❕⁉️😶🤬🤬🤬 please say you are joking 🫨🤭🤯
Women swear their birth control does not work. I have an aunt that has never been pregnant.
Why would her moma be mad about her getting an abortion when she’s clearly pregnant by a man who can’t help her and it’s going to fall on the grandmothers responsibility to help out…at the end of the day we need to be realistic, having a baby with a man who can’t help you and having an abortion BOTH come with consequences & a level of struggles-the only difference is would you rather struggle temporarily (abortion) or longterm while ALSO emotionally damaging another living, breathing human being who will eventually grow up and resent you for placing them in a hard environment (single motherhood).
I only watch conservative men’s content. 🇺🇸
Who will be your subscribers and future subscribers if you keep pushing this childless lifestyle? Ofc parenthood is challenging, but it’s a major part of the purpose of life.
That's your opinion, hon. Not everyone's goal in life is parenthood.
@@chanise2218 Right? So how many worthless dogs do you have? Funny how much money and effort people waste on pets that don’t do crap for society but literally crap on it.
Yanie says if you don’t want to risk being a single mom, then don’t have kids. Just like saying, if you don’t want to risk failure, then don’t even try. Don’t want to lose money, then don’t ever make money. In life, no risk = no reward.
Society is pushing childless lifestyles. It cost a LOT to bring up a child now and people want to have full lives like they grew up with or wished they grew up with.
@@Damita-ye2yl Dang you seem to reminiscing on the great past, like a “make America great again” person. I am black American from nyc and our legacy is tough times don’t last, tough people do. My siblings is what made my childhood great. People matter more than costly b.s things.
Society never wanted to see the black family prosper. This is why that planned parenthood lady creator promotes sterilization of us.
The blk race isn't in any danger of dying out because some of us choose to be childfree.
