What is worse is that the guy testifying said that he has come to terms with the fact the he is in danger but that he can’t live with himself if he doesn’t blow the whistle…and no-one in Congress said ‘we will help keep you safe!!’ WTF!!!?

If these planes are just rolling out of the factory new, then they have not done millions of miles...
If the safety and work culture has changed at Boeing in more recent times then the planes manufactured in the past will be of a higher standard and better constructed.
Maybe the design of the plane is of a high standard and proven reliable but that won't help if the production standards have dropped.
Just sounds like they're cutting corners to meet targets...need engineers back in charge at the top.

They have flown millions of miles… yeah that’s the problem. Any defect only gets worse with time. Every time a plane ascends and descends, the pressurization and depressurization causes material fatigue and so eventually a minor issue can become a major issue. This FAA lady either doesn’t know what she’s talking about or is lying.

The Boeing 777 and 787 are the safest planes in the world. There's nothing wrong with the fuselage gaps, Boeing already showed reporters the stress tests and you can clearly see in the video how the fuselage stays intact. Crazy Whistleblower making things up!

The dreamliner is fine. The problem is in the assembly. When you had actual engineers running Boeing it was fine. But when McDonnell-Douglas merged, their bean counters started running the company and now ONLY bean counters do. The people who made Boeing the great company it became aren't there any more. It's like they learned all the BAD lessons of Airbus and adopted them.
