I have no idea why it’s taking so long for Rybakina to get the love she deserves, just shows how biased and full of crap the media is but whatever…I’ve been saying it for TWO YEARS! Elena is an elite player. Well two years ago I said she was going to be but now here we are. The minute things she does so naturally, the court coverage, the tennis IQ, the footwork switching her game from offense to defense seamlessly. Ball depth, power needed, never ego hitting causing silly errors, taking time from the opponents. These big wins are not flukes people. Rybakina is the real deal. Swiatek better watch out…those two I think will go back and forth for a while barring any injuries. Players like Gauf or whoever in that tier 2 range will always be gunning for Rybakina now. I will say that Pegula may have the tools to take her on though.

I'm sure you've noticed how the media picked and chose who to endorse, which has a lot to do with the player's nationality, which very often translates to marketability. Fortunately, true tennis fans know who the good players are and can form critical and honest opinions on their own.

Congratulations to Rybakina. Such a great player. When will Osaptapenko learn to be gracious in defeat?
No eye contact at all with her opponent at the net and a very brief handshake. She was all smiles at the net
after beating Gauff and Gauff was GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT. She looked Ostapenko in the eye and congratulated
her. No one likes to lose but Ostapenko needs to grow up. She is twenty five and a good player but she has
the mentality of an eight or a ten year old. She has been like this for years; someone on her team should

Rybakina implemented the correct tactics against Ostapenko; which everyone should implement. That is by hitting a good amount of balls outside the middle of the court. Ostapenko's whole game is dictating the point from the middle of the court going for the corners. She can't play any other way because of her lack of fitness and weight. The only thing Rybakina lacked is the FH down-the-line shot. She needs to work on that shot big-time. Then she'll have a nearly complete package. She really likes to flatten out her FH going cross-court and wants to do that all day long but at some point her opponents are going to cheat to the deuce side knowing she can't pull the trigger down the line.

Maria was a druggie and history will forever show she got banned. Nothing her fans can do or say to stop that. It's befitting given how nasty her fans were for years and her too suggesting Serena was a drug user. It was so ironic. I don't care that it was allowed for years...she had no business trying to get an edge chemically, and instead of taking her punishment she used her fanbase and her fame to try and act like the victim. That made more players dislike her even more, and it was her undoing because they had such a dislike for her and took it out on her during matches. She never won another slam...could barely win matches after her comeback. I'm glad it happened to her and her fans. She will be remembered as a dopie.

I am sorry but this has to be said... some contenders are obviously not athletes...when i look at this game and when you see how diifficult it is for Ostapenko to run from one side to another, when she has to bend to play low balls and even when she serves she has practically no uplift( she can't jump much) to gain sufficient angle and down power, one has to ask the following question...are you to be compared with those who toil hard to be an athlete in order to decently represent the game and offer so much exciting out of the box moments to fans around the world?? Then what?? the tennis federation is satisfied with you if you can just stand and hit hard?? is this the future of the game?? no need to have athletic qualities...where would this lead the game to?? i have been an athlete for very long now and i am still one at age 57, ramrod straight standing and i run 25 km in the mountains..yeah! i'm a trail runner and i am also a keen water sports regular, so please, take the time to really develop yourself into the sport you like so as to give yourself much more opportunities and self respect.

Leaving Ostapenko's attitude aside... her biggest issues right now are her fitness and her serve. Her serve technique needs so much work. Her weight seems to be on her back foot when she is making contact with the ball on her 2nd serve. Her ball toss is all over the place and she loses focus easily in her serve games. But more importantly, she needs to get fit again if she is ever to contend for another GS. I'm not body shaming... by normal standards, she looks great. But as a pro athlete, when competing against the best, you have to be extremely fit to work your magic. Not seeing it from her. Let's discuss her attitude on another day.

Only her attitude? The only good thing about her is she goes for her shots which is a pretty nice attribute I must admit. Her attitude regarding calls is laughable! Her physical condition is abominable. A real tub and tennis's worst conditioned athlete.
