And with free shipping on ON ANY ORDER OVER $49 to the lower 48 states, what could be better? Light ‘em up! - Zábava
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. We have a Traeger pellet smoker and a 28" Blackstone that hasn't held up well. I need to replace the cooking surface, but the cost of that had me looking at other options. I miss having a gas grill and this gives me the best of both worlds. I think im going to get the 2/3 griddle top accessory to keep from having to switch every time tho.
I have it on my lit for next summer. This is a MUST HAVE!
Actually that's a great idea!!!! Congratulations team!!!
Never thought I would consider a gas grill again. I'm intrigued.
Great looking griddle!
Love it!
Seems like a great grill. The cooking surface needs to be larger.
I have a Silverbac and just pulled the trigger on the Primate within 10 minutes of getting the email about this being released! Can’t wait to get this grill fired up
That's awesome, Thanks for the support Ryan!
I wish the dome was higher. Beer can chicken is out of the question
i want! just what i was looking for!
I love my Silverbac and this has me very interested....have you guys decided if and when you are going to make the corner cabinet....that is all I am waiting on to order my outdoor "L" setup from Grilla Grilles
Just preordered this.....
Awesome
Don’t forget to ship my free gifts
Do you have plans for a 2/3 - 1/3 grill/griddle unit? I would love to be cooking my steak and my egg at the same time on the same unit.
Wow...was looking to replace by 17-year old Weber Genesis Silver with something with a griddle, but this is next-level. Wish they sold a natural gas version so I didn't have to bother with the conversion kit.
Hell yeah. About to pull the trigger on a Silverbac, now it looks like another addition in the cart! Looks great.
Oh no way, thanks Scott! That's awesome!
Did u get it? Thinking about pulling the trigger but trying to find feed back
@@mike71081 Ordered it a couple days ago. After how well the Silverbac treats me, I am hoping to never have to buy another grill again after the Primate. I will let you know after I get some grill/griddle sessions.
@@scotthasse8472 thank you. Looking forward to the feedback!
1) Storage for the griddle
2) Optional wood tray for smoking chips
3) Maybe cast burner system ( something that will work better than tubing)
4) 1/2 griddle option
5) Rotisserie option
Just something to think about.
👆🏿 What he said!
Yes! i/2 griddle option!! Why they did not is beyond me!
@@nhudson78 they have a 2/3 griddle add on now
I’ve been looking everywhere for a half grate half griddle system. Thought it would be easier to find.
Well this certainly looks fantastic.
Checked the website and I see the Black Friday deals are up.
Any chance of Black Friday deals on accessories... say the Silverbac cover?
After two years, mine is falling apart.
Nice!
yes please!!!
Will you guys be offering it in different sizes?
Will there be a stainless griddle top coming or no?
YES!!!
Wow!
I was really thinking about buying a 22" portable Blackstone on sale this weekend, but now I'm definitely going to buy a 22" portable Blackstone on sale this weekend. Maybe someday I'll be able to convince the wife to go with something this sick though!
well found my next purchase and just in time looking to replace my old grill
Thanks for the support Jeff!
Looks great! What's the clearance on the lid? High enough to vertical roast chicken or cook a turkey?
That's what I was curious about. I don't think you'll be to get a whole chicken on there I less you spatchcock it. The thermal jacket at the top definitely robs a decent amount of space.
Will there be a 1/3 or 2/3 griddled tray available so you can have both griddle and grill options available simultaneously?
We're looking into it Matthew, good to know people want this already!
@@GrillaGrills It would be awesome to be able to grill/sear my steaks while grilling up some mushrooms and onions at the same time.
Ya, this is key for me. If I'm going to swap out the entire cooking surface, I can just do that now with my Weber grill. I want to be able to cook a protein and veggies at the same time.
Key for me also. Using a Weber - Grill Griddle combination now.
Yes! Add half griddle half grate option and I’m interested. I’m concerned about the lid being too low for larger meats also.
Number of questions,
1. Rust resistance? Many foods are cooked with lots of salt, normally destroys the cooking chamber after a while. Many grills use aluminum to avoid this, how does the stainless hold up? My last stainless grill only lasted 3 years. The griddle would spare a lot of wear, but for those who grill consistently could be a concern.
2. What is the warranty on this? Entire thing, certain parts? (A Weber might see like 10 year, Napoleon a 15 year on similar priced items).
Product looks great! I'm a fan, just curious about those points.
I know it is a 4 year warranty.
My experience with stainless steel is that it far outlasts the other parts. My current SS grill is a big box store model. I’ve had it 15 years and have probably 1,000-1,200 cooks on it. I’ve had to replace burners twice, and the electronic ignition went out in about a year. But the cooking chamber and stainless is still as good as new. I’m looking for a new unit rather than rebuilding the innards again, and the convertible griddle is a very attractive feature. I’m disappointed I’m gonna lose my SS grates that I’ve spent 15 years getting to perfection though.
I think the Primate has stainless grates.
I found the next grill I'm going to buy
Did u buy it? Looking for feedback. Seriously Thinking about getting one
@@mike71081 I plan on getting it in 2 months
Same bro, waiting for the stars to align of in stock and money ready.
Will the Griddle top put the same crust on steaks the same as a Cast Iron pan? I was thinking maybe use the griddle top and a Steak weight?
Mark can you post that video somewhere else? No FB here
QUESTION: Any chance you might offer a future Smaller Griddle [taking up the left 2 Stainless Steel Grates], so you end up with 1 Stainless Steel Grate [Right Side] + a Smaller Griddle on the Left Side? This would allow for cooking with a Smaller Griddle and Grate at the same time 😊
@Mark Graham Please seriously consider for the future 😊
Pay this man his royalties for the 2/3 griddle
Can you order one with a lid that isn't so low........I need to be able to do some beer can chickens or turkeys
Fair point
How well enclosed is it? I am having a rat problem with my weber genesis and am at the point of switching grills as the weber is way too open on the bottom (Genesis II, little guys are climbing through the grease outlet at the bottom).
Me too
How thick is the griddle
I would he interested in a smaller version of this
Yes would cool maybe a $500 price point?
I'm actually interested in the grill mat underneath (need to keep the pavers clean). Been looking for something to fit size wise for my Silverbac. Where would I get that one?
We are working on offering these! Stay tuned
@@GrillaGrills That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
Anyone have any idea of the full griddle dimensions? Is it a 28" or, 36"?
Hi , for how much its ! And how much is shipping price to middle east
Where does one store the griddle when the grill is being used as a conventional propane grill? Having the ability to hang it off the back would be cool...
I'm probably just going to put it in the bottom compartment
I got this grill along with the 3 piece outdoor kitchen I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put inside the cabinet part please help
Reach out to customer service at grillmaster@grillagrills.com
Where's the space though - your grills are normally good quality but for some reason fall short on height.......you made this great looking grill but put that small lid on it. That top height size is what you use on a griddle grill
Does a cut down on the flareups with our other gas grill it flares up so terribly
In the gas configuration grease flares up no matter what you do if it lands on hot enough surface so just keeping the temp down a bit will help you out with this. With the griddle set up there's virtually no flare up concerns which is AWESOME in my opinion.
The price is great. I was expecting it to be 50% more expensive at least. Does this come more or less fully assembled like the OG Grilla?
Box 1 had the head unit which is fully assembled. Box 2 is the cabinet that needs to be built. Really easy though! Hope this helps and thanks for watching. Mark G
@@GrillaGrills
I'm so excited to order this when I can!
With grill grates in place how much space between grates and lid? (Worried about largish turkey or whole ham, etc.)
I have the same question. The lid seems shallow enough to cause trouble when cooking anything tall (I'm thinking beer can chicken).
My exact thoughts too. I want one, but this may be an issue
Spatchcock the turkey. I would say if you plan on a lot of that stuff though, a pellet smoker would need to be beside this if you have the room and budget. I cook outdoors mostly and they both serve purposes for me. My dad tried a griddle but it wasn't his thing. He just wants a gas grill. So, preference
OK so what about a griddle that is half size so I can do both? Is that an option?
We're working on something like that right now to be used as an accessory. Just need some more time to get it right.
when will these be in stock. Want one right now..
We're sending 'em out as soon as we can get them in. If you order now, you'll be put on the list. We're sending them out first come first served.
Tempting... as I've always wanted a Flat Top. If this was permanent 2/3 Griddle, 1/3 Grill, I'd pick one up next time I head to Michigan's west side to visit the in-laws.
We are working on something for you!
@@GrillaGrills Great idea! looking forward to it!
I have been looking for a Flat Top for a little while now. I love the EVOs but they are $3,500+. The Primate might win the day here.
If you live near our Holland store, come check it out! We've got 1 on display, and we're making pulled pork for lunch today (11/13/2020)
Why this and not a Blackstone which is cheaper?
Do the side trays fold down and what is that width ?
No they do not fold down. Total width is just over 60 inches.
Looking at this grill, but the only concern I have is the lid height. Do you cook with the lid down? I assume a whole chicken won't fit....
Yeah just smash it down. Smash chicken. Like smash burgers just chicken.
Can the Primate be installed into an outdoor kitchen island?
If you create the mounting system for it, yes. We have not finished creating a version ourselves yet, but we know there are people out there who have created their own hardware to secure it.
Essentially you'll just need something for the grill head to sit on. If it's stable and the grease trough's are unaffected, you'll be alright!
Will this mount to the 4 piece outdoor kitchen you offer?
It doesn't yet, but it will. We're working on the setup for it. As of right now, if you place it next to the Island it's an almost perfect fit.
@@GrillaGrills thanks I'll wait until the unit is mountable I already have a pellet grill and was looking for propane for a quick cooking choice
Where can these be purchased?
www.grillagrills.com/products/primate-griddle
I wish the griddle ws bigger. only 500 something sq inches. Blackstone is 736, Camp Chef is over 600.
How hot does the grill and the griddle get?
Very, over 60,000 btu pumping through 4-burners.
Should of added a tray to put wood chips in
😍😍😍😍😍😍
can you grill with the lid down
Definitely, but you'll need to watch that temperature. This grill pumps out ALOT of heat.
Came across your products through the name of the agency that makes your video but I can't remember the name of the company. Do you mind reminding me?
Depends on which videos you're talking about. This one in particular was by Capture Video and Marketing.
@@GrillaGrills Yuuuuup that’s the name! Thank you so much. Your products are awesome!
Grilla Grills makes the best grills!
Whats the btu on this mark?
60,000 BTU. This and other info in in the description FYI
@@GrillaGrills 60k kicks the crap out of the 39k I get from my Weber Genesis. Guess what I now have for sale to help pay for my Primate that I ordered today! 🤣
Why is there a 1-1.5" gap around the front & back griddle plate? Seems like a major design flaw.
1. Wasted cooking space
2. Griddle will move
3. Looks bad
I got cast iron is better
This makes me sick. Charcoal and pellet is where its at. Love my grilla and Kong.
Griddle can do a whole lot!
Who wants to change over from grill to griddle when the grill is black and full of grease? Where do you put the griddle or grills when not being used?
I would like to leave the grills in if possible!
