Oh yay the magma blocks :) So fun it took me an hour maybe more. So fun not hard at all.

Theres always that one bit that you have to grind for lol (magma blocks), i am almost done getting the materials. I also recommend getting shulker boxes to bring all the magma blocks with you and and 2 ender chests so you can teleport the items from point A, to point B.

You might be able to move it down a bit if you put dripstone on the area where they land so they dont have to drop as far (which I believe would slightly increase the rates)
when you mean a bit doen how mach block do you mean?
@@frogman611the fall does 27 damage, to achieve the same with dripstone you have to pillar 15 up. However, the dripstone is on top of the hoppers so this means you have to pillar 16 blocks above the hoppers I think. (Or 15 blocks above the dripstone)
Nvm you can’t put dripstone on hoppers so you have to use Minecraft hoppers instead and put blocks above them with dripstone
@@frogman611 @waltuh2.3bviews3secondsago3 a zombie piglin has 20 hp and dripstone does double dmg so a regular fall needs to be 24 high or 14 high before landing on dripstone, dripstone can be placed on mud and soulsand which regular hoppers can pull through
A little tip is if you own frost walker boots wear those while making this beacause then you wont be taking any damage from the magma blocks or you could always just drink fire ress potions.
Also dont be like me and build this in a basalt delta or any other biome where pigmen dont spawn, that wasnt a fun time.

Tip for building the fall damage pipe: Put scaffolding at the four corners of the hopper grid, then just build off of that

it took me about 30 mins by mining every single block in the nether near lava pools.

For the falling part the fastest way is to just put one temporary blocks on each side middle and on the 4 sides of the block your are standing on. Then fill in and remove temporary. Then repeat
or just use a boat bruh !
to avoid magma cube spawns, make the roof two block high not three. if you already built the farm it's fine, just place a layer any blocks on the ceiling, so that the height is two blocks. it doesn't affect the rate since pigmen can spawn in 2 block height. and on the top, replace slabs with glass, making sure the distance between the magma and glass is 2 blocks

Thanks! I doubled the number of magma platforms and put the afk stop 15 blocks lower. See those piggies going down fast
I suggest making the slab roof first and then make the layers as you work your way down to prevent any nuisances like ghasts spawning while ur building.
You don't need to hold sneak but toggle on and off (Options -> Controls -> Sneak: Hold/Toggle)
it's good if you don't have Frost Walker but have Swift Sneak enchantment, I was in a middle of building then remember this, god bless my finger. Hope this help

I must admit that this farm is efficient and the only problem is collecting all those magma blocks 😅. But the design is very good and just make sure to use some fire resistance potion cause you will destroy your armor. Thanks for the tutorial Kmond!

You can make a simple magma cube farm for magma cremes. 4 spicy slimeballs equal one magma block. You can also use a slime balls from a slime farm and blaze powder to obtain the forbidden ben-gay.
Efficiency 5 netherite pickaxe will get you your magma very quickly. Just managed to get about 4400 in about 20 minutes.

i accidently built 5 floors of magma and i didnt notice. but this farm is very efficient and works well the 5th floor got me more rates of spawns!

I made a one choice sorter that sends the nuggets to chests and the rotten flesh to a dropper. One would need an army of clerics to trade all of it away otherwise.
if you feel lazy i must say that building it in a full square (not in a diamond shape) works perfectly fine. Also I onli made two floors and its still stupidly efficient

possible with a auto sorting system but i would keep them because you can trade rotten flesh for emeralds.

I think player render distance is what is accounted, so even if you can't see the zombie piglin, they might still be dying. If not, just decrease the afk spot

I hope no one will make the mistake I made baking my brain for a hour to why pigmens were not attracted to the turtle eggs. It was the mobgriefing torned to false, once turned true, it will work 😂

I made this farm, also made sure to do it in a nether_wastes biom, but there are magma slimes spawning, and a lot of them aswell, did I do something wrong?
Magma cubes spawn in 3 block high areas, so this farm will spawn magma cubes as well as zombie piglins. When I was having this issue with the farm I tweaked it to have 2 blocks high per level with 5 levels, and that prevented the magma cubes. The slabs on top should also be two blocks above the final layer so the cubes won't spawn there either.
How large can this farm be?

portal based can get you up to 4 times this amount - depends on how far you want to go with it. You don't want to do too many layers that it encroaches on your AFK spot, I would argue there is a point where it reaches diminishing returns for the effort, but I'm not sure how many exactly. If the platforms were smaller you could add more, say in the case of Gnembon's design, but in his case you afk lower and have to do some spawn proofing. The other alternative is to have it lower and to make a perimeter. If this design is 4 layers then it is that way for a reason.
Theoretically up to build limit. I had success for 8 layers. You might have to mess with the AFK spot.
Can you afk at the bottom for levels? or does it only work if you afk up top?
if you afk at the bottom, stuff starts spawning below bedrock, it wont work.

yes, you gotta need alot of hopper and as well as droppers/dispensers to throw the item in a higher place

One gotcha here is that you need to make sure you set mob griefing to "true" if it isn't already. Otherwise the eggs won't attract the piglins.

i can imagine any sorter would work but you would have to build the sorter before the rest of the farm or else the drop chute will be shorter, although you could always place dripstone at the bottom if its made shorter for an autosorter

Youre in the wrong biome
They spawn naturally. It's because of the 3 block gap between platforms. you can connect the current chest system to a dropper system to output the gold 4 blocks higher, then build 4 double chest with hopper system, then connect that to another dropper system to push the items 4 blocks higher, repeat however as many times as you want.

Yes that makes it so only somebodies piglins will spawn and not regular piglins or magma cubes which take up the mob cap and lower ratss
Magma cubes will spawn, but that's normal, and doesn't affect rates.

i doubt it, mobs spawn in a 128 block radius around a player, not specifically in loaded chunks

Preferably
It'll reduce rates if not (reduction depends on how much of the farm is outside the biome), it shouldn't be a huge problem though. I mapped out the general size of the biome with slabs to make the farm.

Nothing will spawn within 20 blocks of you so you technically can make them square but it's a waste of blocks
Probably not an issue, but the zombie piglin at the edges might not aggro. This would decrease rates.
