I like how Alissa and Nick left their mark on War Eternal without changing the core sound of Arch Enemy. That's some perfect melding with a new band.

The new Album is part of Arch enemy, very good how it turned out Amazing!!Nobody can say anything bad about that Album, every song on it is GREAT!! The of the best. Also most of the time when a band changes members, they go under.
To be honest, I have no facts, but I suspect Amott basically fired him for Loomis. Nick was definitely talented. But let's be real, Loomis really is the best. If my hunch is right, it's a shame for Nick. But to a degree, could you blame Amott. Who wouldn't want that real life Schwisgar in their band?! Loomis is a Scandanavian, Viking God in disguise. Look at his solo work! Since he is in the extreme metal scene, he will never be given full credit. But honestly, Loomis is significantly better then Satriani, S. Vai, Van Halen, Hendrix, Clapton, Malsteen. Can anyone name a better guitarist? I truly believe that he is the best guitarist in the world. I had a pick he threw during summer slaughter. Unfortunately I think my ex trashed it. But at least now I know what the best pick for metal is. 1.5mm tortex sharp pick. I'm telling you, for metal, it just digs in that string, and tares it up with no mercy. Leaving a raw vibration of sustain. Mix that with DR DDT 16-66 strings, and you get the most brutal and heavy sound ever. JEFF LOOMIS IS A METAL GUITAR GOD. Alexi Laiho, Micheal Amott, and Jeff Loomis. The 3 best in the world. Stay Metal!

True story. This is the original vocal take she did when she came to Halmstad the first time. This is kind of Alissa’s ”try out for the band”. We sat in the studio and just tried to keep calm. It wasn’t easy. THIS is how you deliver when you want to be in a band.
The ”demo” was just so good that it ended up on the album. Bloody incredible. As far as I remember we only changed one line. Or half a line actually. Alissa=pro.

You might be happy to hear that Jeff said in the interview with Ola Englund in 18/19 that Arch Enemy will work on some 7-string stuff in the future. That's pretty cool. Hope it's true.

With Jeff Loomis, the level of the solos goes up a lot, total quality.
The addition of the Jeff Loomis solo fills really changes the texture of the song from the version on the album and absolutely for the better. Loomis is my favorite guitarist and his style is so distinctive. There was no one who wrote metal songs with such unusual and clever riffs as JL for Nevermore and his solo playing is as good as it gets. What a compliment to Michael Amott with such contrasting styles. I can't wait to hear what he and MA come up with for the next record. I expect some groundbreaking changes for Arch Enemy.

I feel the additions of Jeff and Alissa have injected new life into the band. I've seen them live and she's having an absolute BLAST! She's very dynamic and energetic on stage and Michael is on record that he's open to the incorporation of clean singing on their records going forward. Man, Alissa belting out powerful clean choruses on Arch Enemy would be INSANE!
Jeff was one of my favorite guitarists long before joining. And so is Micheal. So I was super happy to have 2 of my 3 favorite players in one of my favorite bands.

Alyssa is the best metal vocalist of all time. She has it. When she decides sing without the growls it sends shivers down my spine. She is amazing. I would love one day to sing a song along side her

+DJ Programer it doesn't, it's really a tone shit of luck. You can have amazing talent on screaming, but if you don't have any technique and you try growling, you'll lose your voice sonner than you think. The luck is about finding your technique by yourself and then mastering it

I'm so OBSESSED with arch enemy that I made my phone ring with the song ,,War Eternal"... I'm only 13, and my friends usually listen to some pop shits (for me) and think that's real good music... For me Arch Enemy is best example for showing anger and emotions, through their lyrics growling (screaming) my friends think I'm Satanist just because I like dark metal clothing and I listen to metal... But anyways, everybody has their dark side and it isn't too bad to explore it

Jeff joined in Nov 2014. The album came out in 2014. Single in 2015. That's why Jeff isn't in any of the other War Eternal videos.
