she is very cool. i had a ton of facebook discussions with her late at night when she was not a big name in 2009-2010 and 2011. she was always on facebook late at night and we discussed all sort of topics. we discussed astronomy, politics, music, pets and animals and pretty much anything.

People who don't know anything about metal: metal musicians are rude and decadent.
People who really love metal and understand it: metal musicians are very polite and friendly in their lives. The thing you see on the stage is just the way that they release their pressure from the troubles that they surffered in this stupid society.
thats a good way to interpret it. i never thought negative about metal people. i love metal. but before i loved it i never thought negative about those people. they are way too cool
And yes, there are millions of metal fans out there. I am 44 years old father of 3 children, listen to metal bands, and visit trash/death/black metal shows. From Pantera, Sepultura to Arch Enemy, Fear Factory, Cannibal Corpse and so on.

the talent pool in the metal community is incredible. several metal song writers making music today would fit in very well among classical age composers had they been born in that era.
Even if you don't LIKE metal music, you would be very hard pressed to find a valid argument that (overall) the genre is not objectively a masterclass in composition.
the genre also simply allows instrumental talent to completely spread its wings. You play at ANY skill level, there is a metal genre to compliment it.
You push boundaries and set records? metal is the only contemporary genre that allows that due to it's fundamentally anti-commercial nature (in that, if something would crash the safe market in pop or country, it is likely going to be a hit in the metal scene).

I found out about this girl when she was with the agonist. Loved her then and still love her now. I'm happy she seams to of finally given arch enemy the lead they so dearly needed. Dropping your lead every couple years had to of beem rough for the rest of the band. I gotta say I was a little curious when I found out she had grabbed the lead vocal roll as it was something I'd pondered but man she's fucking killing it. Keep cranking out that melody that only can be produced by yall I can't get enough.

When I first heard and played Nemesis on guitar hero as a kid, I couldn’t believe the singer was a woman. From there on I started to listen to so many metal/ deathcore bands. She’s incredible!
Angela Gossow was the vokalist on Nemesis. In my opinion she was far superior to Alissa White-Gluz.
