- I wanted to see how far we could push the stock ESC but I was very interested to see if it was possible to install the old Mod0.7 gears out of the 144001 in this newer chassis design, could become another cool speedrun challenge😃
Stock 45a esc
Turnigy XK2845 3650kv 4s motor
144001 spur and pinion
Ovonic 2200mah 50c 3s lipo
Original motor mount mod is possible but as you will see I failed this time, a quick carbon mount will do for this video though👌

All of my DIY carbon, aluminium or polycarbonate parts are cut with a jigsaw and drilled with a hand drill.
Most of my materials like Carbon Fibre, Aluminium, polycarbonate and hardware like screws, bolts and nuts are purchased from Ebay Australia but most of what I use is easily found just by Google searching the material or hardware you require.
Music made on the GroovePad phone app.
All editing done on my phone using the Kinemaster phone app.

And yes the wing suits it so well, much stronger than the lexan wing aswell, they are terrible😆
@@rccrazy Yeah, I have yet to see a lexan wing hold up to much of anything. I guess the only reason why any company still uses them is for production cost savings.
That's it, has to be production cost, although these sturdy HSP or even 1/10 Arrma wings are about the same price as some of the lexan wings🤔😆

Great video. My son just broke his steering link and I can't find a replacement. Looks almost the same as the hypergo but since it's 1st brake, it's time for upgrades.

The steering assembly in this is different to the hyper go trucks, similar but everything is longer in the wltoys.
I haven't got any of the newer hyper go's though so the new parts may fit this wltoys🤔
Nice video man but I'm doing my friends car and I have a 2938 6850kv motor and no I didn't have a typo it's really 29mm with a 120a esc 19t pinion and 124019 spur I've ran it but not full throttle because the esc is to large and I'm waiting on the phat body to come in

Yes I have a few 29mm motors, got a 2950 5900kv 4s motor, it's insane!
And if you remove the fan you can fit a 120a in with the stock body.
I'll probably run mod1 gears though, keep stripping the wl cast metal gears.
I could hear the power being sent to the motor fluctuating.

The newer mount is doing great, bit different shape, my original one did move slightly and stripped another spur😅
I would probably just stick with the stock mount but use the bigger pinion for more speed.
@@rccrazy Ye but its not an option if i wish to shove a 3660 in it 😅. How does your new one differ from the CF one you showed in this video? I assume original one doesnt have a chamfer for the head of the screw so it could move? Thanks
@bismuth7730 why not? If your making a custom mount you just have to make it taller, mod and cut a bunch of stuff and hey presto🪄 you can fit a 3674🤪
No I don't recommend doing that, the drivetrain WILL NOT like you very much🤭
But no, my original one was slightly too narrow for the slotted part the original mount goes into, made the new one wide enough so it kinda jambs/presses into the slot very tight, as long as it's not too tall you should still be left with no gaps around the gearbox/spur gear part👌
Are you in vic? I think i saw a vic number plate… If you are Where are some good places to go for speed runs for something that theoretically will hit over 150kph
More specifically Melbourne but yes Vic.
I'm sure there are some awesome and CRAZY long roads around but I personally don't have many places for speedruns, the spots we go for our 100mph+ cars are all quite a drive for me with my specific type of PTSD.
@@rccrazy yea fair enough man, im in south east and we have a fair few industrial estates but all seem to be busy on weekends too.. traffic only slows up at night and theres bugger all lighting
Yeah we have the same problem here aswell, traffic everywhere all the time except one spot we go which is miles away😫

Yeah I was super happy with 80+ on the stock esc, definitely need a higher amp one for reliability though😅

Stock Esc can handle the 5900kv?
It depends on the motor size, 2438 5900kv possibly but a 2845 5900kv NOT A CHANCE!
