    Brian was quoted as saying "We owe everything to Freddie". Freddie pushed them from the beginning when Brian and Roger were literally going to give up. Freddie knew what Queen should be, the stage costumes, the stage show and performance. As Brian said when he went to see Smile "you should this or that, you need to do this or that"... Queen are all 4 members for sure. They were destined to be together. Queen were not one sound...they couldn't be put into a box. All for members came into their own and all proved their worth. Just phenomenal.

    Freddie knew that he belonged with Roger Taylor and Brian May. Early on when he first saw them.Then in 1971 they completed their band with John Deacon.Those guys were supposed to be a band together the boys shared a chemistry that clicked.That's probably why the other groups didn't work out. Everything happens for a reason.
    It was they're destiny. I adore Freddie Mercury, I miss him so much. 😢 They guy was a musical genius. I loved their costumes and concerts. The Rainbow 1974 is one of my favorites. Freddie was exotic and mesmoring. I love his look from the 1970's. Freddie was always changing his image, he was always on top of the styles throughout his concerts. The boys liked to experiment with they're music.
    Freddie in the 1980's was sexy as hell. His hair was short and slicked back then, and the mustache looked sexy on him when he was in his early 40's. At the live aid concert 1985.

    Freddie Mercury was the best frontman ever❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Queen is my favorite band to this day and I’m glad that they are still active with Adam Lambert as the new frontman of Queen who is a very talented and a flamboyant presence on stage who can pull off keeping Queen songs alive; of course he has the fantastic Brian Harold May and Roger Taylor who will always be an intricate part of Queen to this day to back Adam Lambert up!!!!! I really miss John Deacon😢😢😢😢I believe that John Deacon was too devastated to perform with Queen after Freddie passing and he refuses to perform with Queen because I believe it’s too painful for him to perform with Queen after Freddie left this world in 😮November 1991!!!!! Freddie is definitely here in spirit and Freddie from heaven is making sure Queen stays together, thank God🙏🙏🙏🙏

    Freddie never stated what Rhapsody was about and if it wasn't for the fact that the song was written/recorded many years before he was diagnosed, but not necessarily before he had an enkling that he was sick,there are several verses where the words could come to mean things related to hiv/aids.As an example: mama just killed a man put a gun against his head pulled my trigger nows he dead.

    Those of us who were allowed/encouraged to watch Monty Python when their show came to the U.S. on PBS loved and understood that men dressing up as women was hilarious. That's probably why I like Trashy Women by Confederate Railroad - there's nothing funnier than a manly man with facial hair wearing makeup, heels and a dress.

      Yes 'and' No. His enunciation came from speaking with extra teeth. He had to work harder to enunciate his words, to speak clearly, and the strength in his singing voice developed partly as a result.

    14:05 nonsense. The 2nd Queen album is nothing like Queen 1. The only song on Queen 1 that gives a clue as to where Queen were heading in the early years was My Fairy Queen the rest of album contained remakes of older Smile songs and had a more 'Prog Rock' sound. Queen 2 was pure classic Queen, with tons of overdubs and layered vocals also Freddie's voice was a lot better (range and power) IMO on the Queen 2 album.

    They don’t want to say it
    His real name was Persian name with great meaning
    In fact he was pure Persian because Persian people went to India never married to Indian even till today
    So he was 100% Persian or Iranian
    And he said it himself
    So he was not Indian . Be honest

    Freddie MERCURY aka F B was the best. But why in the world does the Internet and media only and always talk about his sexual presence???? WHY do people only care about what type of sex he had???? I really am sick and tired of that media industry including this part of his life. It has nothing to do with the great person he was and and a amazing musician,singer. Producer. Ect. When do we stop talking about his sex life???? I am sure his family is sick of this situation. Would the world like to have there sex lives uncovered? And tell all the little details huh😢
    Stop it he is a amazing man that unfortunately died of a horrible disease that's it. Can't we just say that? And not focus on sexual preferences. It's no one's business do you hear me!!!!!

    • @deltawhiskey1998
      @deltawhiskey1998 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Ppl talk about his sex life bcuz his sexuality was a huge part of who he was as human being, who he was a performer & the art & music he created. He literally said that he didn’t confirm his sexuality because it was all in the music.
      And his sexuality not only directly influenced his art & music but it also directly impacted their career as a band.
      Freddie might have been “private” about his sexuality out of respect for his parents, but he & the band refused to change their art & the music that celebrated who he was & who he loved even when it meant killing their US tour.
      Talking about Freddie’s sexuality celebrates him in all of his humanity, to say it shouldn’t be talked about is to say that it’s something to be ashamed of. It wasn’t a flaw, and we wouldn’t have the music that he gave us if he was a different person!!
      There’s more to it than that too - there’s another world in which the AIDS epidemic doesn’t happen, or at the very least, the world responds differently if wasn’t for the disgusting homophobia in the healthcare sector & world at large.
      Sharing Freddie’s sexuality helps to destigmatize it, who knows how many young gay people who are struggling with their identity his story has helped.
      It has also absolutely saved life’s by helping to destigmatize AIDS.

    • @wendywagner4207

      @@deltawhiskey1998 I do agree to a extent but he is not having sex on stage!!! And he did want that part of his life very private. He told his parents that Jim was his Gardner. Not his lover. I understand about not wanting to come out to his parents. If a blind person walked around without a cane but with there hands stretched out infront of them people would automatically know they were blind. I know it's apple's and oranges but I think you get my drift. He didn't want to a poster for AIDS EVER it shocked him and he was I m sure he was in denial for quite some time. Ok I m done with this story

    As someone who grew up in the Midwest US, and was a teen when this came out, and watched MTV every time I had the chance (my parents didn’t have cable) and so many of those videos were so sexually explicit, so many girls barely dressed…and « I Want to Break Free » which I look at as a joke of a bunch of guys dressed up and having fun was banned? Half naked girls, and blatant sexuality, Michael Jackson grabbing his crotch regularly, were just fine, but this was banned? Ridiculous. Like from the movie, when Brian says, « Americans are Puritans in public and perverts in private » is true…ughh. My husband was able to see Queen in the US in the late 70s, obviously, I’ll never see Freddie Mercury live, but I really hope when all the pandemic is over, that I can see Queen+Adam Lambert. Adam does a fine job, he’s not Freddie, he doesn’t try to be, but he’s a great singer and a great performer, and the best thing is seeing the joy on Brian and Roger’s faces getting to play stadiums and just rock it out. Freddie Mercury is the greatest frontman ever, and just a brilliant songwriter and performer, he will be forever missed and never forgotten.

    • @americandevo
      @americandevo Před 7 měsíci +1

      I absolutely do not recall Queen's music video for I Want to Break Free ever being banned!! I saw it played on the regular on MTV and Night Flight. Brian and Roger need to quit throwing shade at America with their negative comments including their assertion that Freddie contracted HIV in New York.
