    Good call checking the bolts too. I'm always so shocked at how easily these thumpers can shake fastners loose. My buddy lost two rear fender bolts on our last trip this summer. Luckily we were only a couple hours from home when I noticed it rattling around. Those zipties sure can save the day sometimes.

    Watching you guys spend time together gives me hope. With all the crap going on, it's so nice to watch you guys look after each other and have so much fun.

    Can't imagine having to swap out the 2 air filters on my AT at camp. OK... yes I can. It would take forever. I'll keep my KLR.

    One thing is for shure, triumph has made the filter change a hell of a lot easyer on the 900 than its on my 800. On that you hve to take of the beak, side fairing and tank. That is ridiculously on a adv bike. 🇳🇴☕

    Here I am, I still have the same trip filter in my bike :D lol

    Hey Mason, Been enjoying your videos for sometime now. Have both a KLR and Tiger 800. Would you let Shooter know that UNI makes a prefilter for the Tigers. It replaces the plastic "air intake" under the seat. Much easier to access and clean than the main filter under the gas tank.

    How was Shooter and your bikes running before you took the filter out? Nice to see the maintenance side of a big trip. Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing, Mason. Dirty filter alright. It’s doing its job for sure. A great idea to carry an extra one. Cheap to buy and easy to carry along. 👍🏽 Do you grease the filter where it meets up with the box ?

    • @masonsadv
      @masonsadv  Před 2 lety

      Hey Coach, your right but next year I will pack 2 spares :) I used to grease the filter base but I don't anymore. The way the plastic cage seats to the box seems to be doing a great job of keeping the dust out and they are easier to clean.

    • @coachp7486
      @coachp7486 Před 2 lety

      Yeah, may stop greasing mine as well. By the time you get it into the box and seated, half the grease is all over the box ! Grr

    Just as bad as I thought they would be. The only thing worse than being that dirty is being that dirty and needing to climb 5000ft
