  • Day 7 of our trip with the KLR650, CRF 250L and the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. In this episode, we were able to get all 3 bikes onto the Ferry from Manitoulin to Tobermory saving us a very long wet ride home :)

    We did the ferry up to Manitoulin last July and almost missed the last ferry because of that construction and a bike mechanical issue. Had a rear brake calliper-stay loosen at low speeds (fortunately), roadside repair, help from a homeowner was amazing. We called the ferry while we were fixing the bike, then rode the shoulder up each construction stoppage, and they held the ferry for us for almost 15 minutes!! Awesome team running that ferry.

    8:00 - Grinned at the sudden appearance of tire hum as the knobbies howl in protest to the bitumen.

    Once lost a really good breakfast on that ferry haha. A big breakfast, a hot cafeteria and rough waters weren’t a good combination. Good Times!

    Kk. Planing a trip later this month that includes a ferry and I hadn't considered strapping the bike down. Do you have a strap kit. Do ferries have areas with anchor points for bikes?

    • @masonsadv
      @masonsadv  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey Joseph. Yes, most ferries have anchor points and rope available but we carry our own pull straps. Just a bit more secure than the rope.
