- In this video I will show you how to make a multi-bootable USB flash drive with Ventoy. This will allow you to boot multiple different ISO files from one USB. No longer will you need a separate USB to install different versions of Windows or Linux distributions!

Please note: user can't partition the drive before installing Ventoy, partitions will be deleted during the installation UNLESS, user select the partition option from within Ventoy installation file (3rd option in the drop down list)... One more thing, windows iso files are larger than 4Gb means we can't use FAT32 format option, we have to select either NTFS or exFAT in Ventoy menu before installing the software

Ya well, I created that Ventoy USB. I put several operating systems on it. Now, I don't know if it was the Ventoy or something else, but I could not install my Zorin Linux distro with it. The Win 10 distro was erased but then the Linux distro would not boot to the hard disk, so I ended up using it on the USB stick until I could re-install Win 10 again. It said something about partitions which is above my pay grade anyway. So I will stick with Win 10 even when they stop the support for it. I'm 78 years old now so Win 10 will probably outlast me for sure. I even miss Win 7. I just hate the monopoly Microsoft has!

Is there any way to turn off the interior lighting permanently? I have my reasons for wanting them off. BTW, Love your vids, very informational and to the point. Thanks!
In the BIOS you can go to the advanced tab > ROG Effects and turn off Onboad LED. If the lighting is coming from RGB fans or other components, you'll probably need to turn it off in a software like Asus Aura Sync.

It will not boot if you use it in a computer with a secure boot is turned on in the bios settings.
Question, what about when you boot into Windows 10/11 and you have to install it, will that not overwrite your current os installation?
It will overwrite your current install unless you create and install it to a different partition or drive.
I made my 320gb external hdd as a bootable storage that came from an old destroyed laptop. I use 120gb for vento that was partiioned in vento..and the 200gb unallocated part was for normal storage..I just found out about vento on tiktok comment lol because we ususally use rufus for a single iso.

So in this video you are creating multiboot OS on MBR partition. A separate USB is needed for GPT partition right?
selecting mbr in the ventoy setup allows you to use ventoy on computers that support mbr or uefi. as long as you choose to boot your usb in uefi mode in the boot menu (you can see at 5:12 it says uefi next to my usb) then it will install the gpt version of your os.
Most GPT system supports the deprecated MBR as an extra option. So chances are that even GPT systems will work on the MBR formatted drive
You don't need to format the usb stick before installing Ventoy, it asks you if you want to format it before it installs the program. It also warns you that everything will be erased on the stick
He probably did since Ventoy might have already been on his USB 3.0 Flash drive.
When ventoy usb stick was plugged in and restart nothing happen,it got stuck at a windows page that says press delete for setup something, but when pressed nothing happen.
Hi, the ISO file does not keep the installed extensions or something else, after rebooting it again everything is gone. Is there any sulution for that?
I think it's because it's indeed an ISO-file, even if it's a "bootable live environment", it's not like a properly installed operating-system. For that, you need to use one OS and install it with its own dedicated installer, which in turn will also use the "entire" drive, or at least a partition on it. - In a way, Ventoy is the main OS in this case.

Just add a Windows 11 iso image from Microsoft onto the ventoy where all the other iso images are.
Boot and select Install Windows, select your iso.
Ventoy when in GPT format boots up windows installer cd fine. I didn’t test BIOS formatted ventoy as Windows seeks out and destroys bootable USBs on older non UEFI machines
No matter what I do I can't get my PC to recognize ventoy as a bootable device, it doesnt show up in the boot options, and when I navigate to it in the bios setup menu it just shows up as: USB - NO MEDIA - NAND

Always be sure that the file is 100% done transferring. Otherwise you will have issues booting the iso correctly.

you can just eject the drive in windows before unplugging it, it will make sure no read/write actions will be done at the time so you will be 100% sure everything's transferred correctly
No need to format. Ventoy will format as EXFAT.

Yep, that's fine. You can put any file on the usb without any issues.

Is it possible to use this bootable USB to run windows from the USB without installing to a hard disk or SSD in the computer?
It is possible. You will need to install a VHD Boot Plugin for Ventoy and install Windows on a virtual hard disk file (this could probably be done in a Virtual Machine), then put the VHD file on the USB and boot to it. However the best and easiest way to boot a portable Windows install off of a USB would be with a program called WinToUSB and I have a video on it here: czcams.com/video/1HuqWGUp0ME/video.html

Trawled YT watching almost every Tut for creation using Windows and the only one that I found was in Turkish and the Subs were hopeless.

You mean like it remembers stuff you configure and such?... I'm not sure you can do that when the OSes are just "bootable live environments", they would actually have to be installed like proper file-systems, as in "unpacked" and whatnot. - But as ISOs, they will just revert to their original states indeed. - But again, not sure if that's what you mean.
You can have a live OS on usb that has persistent storage without actually installing the OS, though that’s dependent on the OS at least ones I’ve used like bionic pup, or Tails OS

Ventoy formats the drive for you. YOu took an extra step you did not need to do.
