Wanted to share a quick tip if you need more health apart from your potions, there is a talisman called "blessed dew" that regen very slowly your hp, and it's relatively easy to get, you just need to open a chest at the tower of no return (south of the map) and you will be teleported to the capital near a big giant, you can find the talisman in the chest next to him. Hope this will be useful for someone and reduce the pain to fight bosses

It takes like 15 minutes to regen to full health from a quarter health damage so I don't think it's as useful as assassin's crimson dagger talisman. With crimson dagger talisman you can heal up quarter of your health per critical hit, like back stabbing them or stunning them and soakimg that dagger inside their heart.

Bloodhound's Fang is one of the best weapons you can easily get right from the beginning. Requires 18 Str and 17 Dex, and causes blood loss. Just summon Blaidd and let him do all the fighting.

@@RuneKatashima you could just ask or look it up if you need directions. Just go to the Mistwood Ruins at night and listen for howling, at the top of the ruins you will find Blaidd, use the Finger Snap gesture to initiate the mission. He will tell you where to go. Just look for the gold summon icon before the fight.

The medallion is for the great dectus lift in the north part of the map. You’ll need both the left(fort haight)and right(fort faroth)pieces in order to activate the lift, which leads to the Altus plateau where another badass shield the dragon shield is located.. somewhere in that region.
What shield? Can you be more specific

You absolutely need to pick up that item in the chest. It's a key item that (without trying to spoil too much) unlocks a new reign of the map. So you need it to progress the game.

The dectus medallion is a key that gets you into dectus via the grand lift. Great video!
The RIGHT Dectus Medallion is in Fort Faroth. Where you kill the big dragon that doesn’t fight back. Google the fort if you don’t know about the dragon. Just found it. I snuck passed the bats and booked it upstairs once I messed up the sneak part of my trying to be sneaky . In a chest like the left medallion.
Just want to add, dectus medallion is used to gain elevator access to go to atlas plateau
You can use the soft cotton item and run past the bats. Soft cotton eliminates sound temporarily.

You need both medallions from both forts to open the path to another area which leads to a seal that is endgame the golden order seal found in the capital outskirts. I got it for my sword of night and flames build.
If you start as a samurai the uchigatana already has blood buildup since it's a katana so the bloody slash isn't necessary, but if you want even more blood buildup then go for it

@Gerrard Israel Laraga the starter one for the sam build. Unsheathe. I was able to beat that first boss second try because of that move.

That Tower Battle was a pain. Everytime going kill knight in tower rat got me and followed me. I finally did it.

Picked up the uchigatana as a samurai and now I'm dual wielding them and it's fantastic

Nice apart from the great sword ive done all this already, only just got the talisman so perfect, i picked samurai and got the uchigatana already so i went and grabbed another and dual wielding them is actually really good
For anyone still wondering what the Left and Right medallion for dectus, without spoiler, it's for a shortcut in lurnia.. better to get early as possible
You get the right one from caelid. Its in another fort behind an elder dragon near the lesser elder tree. You can kill the elder dragon but it has around 60k hp. Also wyverns will aggro if you go for the head
Go on its left wing and use a bleed weapon

You forgot the boss fight in the catacomb it gave me a talisman that restores hp on critical hits
I did this with my jellyfish and had no problems fighting my way to the top. jellyfish takes the aggro and easy backstabs on the knight
FYI - You can cheese both of the bears by baiting them into the underground stone steps where they can’t reach you. You then need to carefully slash away but be careful not to get cocky, the bear can still pick you up and throw you out! 🐻

So many builds and they all look so good. Its going to be hard making a decision on what i want to be. Spell blade looks awesome. Confessor has an interesting direction it can go. And Samurai looks like a good quality-ish build to start
can confirm that samurai is sick af. The weapon art is devastating and feels nearly perfect. (not to mention it starts with an uchi so you can find the second one later and power stance for MORE bleed)

You can cheese the knight by running out the door and hang right, he gets stuck in a door and if you wait for him to run into the door you can hit and then evade out
Candle spear carried by those soldiers is pretty good... but that talisman is super good. Guard attack is you just block with shield and swing with strong attack then.
I like how you just slowly jogged around the enemies dodging them all😂

Really good idea to get bloody slash early, especially as Bandit or Samurai. Either way you need to clear out Fort Haight to get to a main quest area later on

you know there's a giant arch near the mistwood grace sight, on top of it is a guy named Kenneth who will send you to Fort Haith to clear it out for him. that's how I got the bloody slash,
Just gonna say if you start as samurai you start with an uchigatana and then if you can go get the other one you can get 2 and power stance both uchigatana.

When you pause and it shows all your options like inventory and equipment, go into equipment and then go to the bottom where it says "quick item" followed by a number for the slot, just put the whistle in any of those slots

Does bloody slash work for like colossal weapons? I have been having issues finding good ones that work for my greatsword for my guts from berserk build. Lol watched a couple more minutes and found the exact sword I got in recently
Can Samurai’s use any spells or magic? For example healing or attacking spells? I’ve purchased some from the Roundtable, and my Faith is level 10, but I still can’t use them.

Does slashing bleeding work with a spellblade build? I’m going for a spellblade and Im choosing a weapon but I like the blood buildup looks cool and great. Though im thinking of using some STR hungry DEX weapon which is the bloodhound fang or something for it. But I really liked the blood

You can get a Banished Knight's Halberd (+8) very early. Liandra quest spoilers ahead: Do the Liandra Quest until you find him mourning next to her corpse. Now kill him, don't spare him, he is not your friend. He will drop the weapon, which is totally overpowered this early. He hase some nasty moves, so don't underestimate him.
Lookup Liandras Questline for more detail. Just so you know what you have to do: Start Quest at Lindra sitting on the left after crossing the "Bridge of Scarifice". Deliver the letter to her father in Castle Morne. Just head south were the easy to kill giant shots at you. Deliver the letter to the highest point of the castle. Sneeking works until the first ladder. You are on the right way when you find creatures and soldiers fighting each other. After talking to her father, head to the very south and defeat the boss there. Summoing Wolves and using 100% Phys shield did it for me even this early. Don´t give up. Now go back to the father and talk. Now go back to Liandra. Kill the father, go nuts with an +8 weapon. I don´t know if this actions will have consequences later.

So I'm debating on what kind of character I should run. I do know I'm wanting a full sorcery build but I want to run through as a melee class first to learn where things are. What would be a good class and should I go Dex or Strength based?
Personally I chose the prisoner to start and I’m going to run a majority Dex and intelligence build. However if you like big swords and that cool shit go strength it’ll also increase you weight space. Either way both are pretty good just depends on how you want to play.
@@austinebel7818 I tried that one but I made the knight and got the lordsworn GS and I easily beat the boss in the wolf cave with the upswing. Knock him up and spam off 3 quick hits while he's down.

@@zacharyfreeman8579 I only just beat him yesterday. He’s pretty difficult ngl. I upgraded my wolves to a +3 then tried again and mainly uses my sorcery and jump hit him when he wasn’t looking at me.

I killed the boss but no ash of war to use at camp. Is there something I’m missing?
It's hard to explain where it is, but I went for a Katana called the Meteoric Ore Blade early, it's over in the red area where you got the big sword out of the carriage. It's further down the road where the path narrows in some ruins. Can be dicey to get as you gotta go down into a little room and open a door surrounded by enemies, but it's doable. So far at +4 it's had me destroying bosses and enemies as it has the blood buildup as well.
