    Is it the gauge or the sending unit? If the gauge is erratic, it's usually the sending unit. Drop the tank and replace it. If the gauge is stuck at full, it could be a bad ground. Drop the tank and check the ground wire to the sending unit. If it's the gauge itself, you'll have to pull the instrument cluster and replace the gauge with a used one.

    For those plastic clips that hold the bottom valance to the grille, if you take a pair of pliers and simply pull the center pin out of the top they come out very easily, and you don't take a chance on damaging them. They simply pop right back in the new grille. Don't try squeezing them from the underside, that is not how they come out.

    Front grille is the least of my problems now, a life time water pump I bought at autozone completely broke off and drove my steel fan into my 3 core heavy duty radiator and all are trashed beyond repair, the disk on the shaft of the water pump somehow slipped down on one side which caused a wobble that let the drive belt slip off the pulley onto the WP steel casing and the force actually broke it off the engine block, now my baby is just sitting in my yard, can't even start it to keep it from drying up everything. I'm bummed.

    I have a 93 k/1500 Cheyenne, is that why my head lights are the big square ones instead of the rectangular, I prefer the latter but will I have to change my grille, is it cause the silverados have the rectangular ones that mine is different Do I need to buy grille and headlights or just the headlights?

      @farmboy30117  Před 8 lety

      You have the grille like the W/T version. I would imagine the core support is different than the Silverado as well, so that would need to be swapped out. Unfortunately I haven't worked with this type of grille so I don't know for sure.

      +farmboy30117 the core support is the same on the silverado sierra and cheyenne so you can interchange the grilles but on the other hand pretty much the only different thing is the wiring. the wt grilles headlights have just one light rather than 2 in the silverado and sierra grilles

    • @farmboy30117
      @farmboy30117  Před 3 lety

      You have to take the grille off to get to the bumper bolts on top of the frame. I believe there are 2 bolts on bottom of the frame that you can get to from underneath the bumper.

    will that kind of grill fit a 95 Tahoe?

    • @farmboy30117
      @farmboy30117  Před 7 lety +1

      The '94-98 models had a slightly different profile (more rounded) , so I'm not sure the earlier model grilles will fit well.

    All these grills crack especially in the middle top nothing a little epoxy or super glue whatever works ther not real durable you can be a little to gentle also them grills are a dime a dozen tons of them at scrap yard in great shape the most you see if it don’t got a few little dents it’s not a truck
