    Incredible picture of Surtr.
    Comparing this to the Greek myths, I just want to say, I find myself prefering the mystic, honorable stories of Asgard than I do the in-your-face, shameless stories of Olympus. The only Olympians that weren't murderous, vengeful, jealous and rapey were Demeter, Hestia and Athena (Arachne being an exception). The rest of them were assholes, truly. As for the Asgardians, they mostly play tricks and pranks on one another and other races. It's great! Also, how the Norse stories expand on the other races, mainly the Giants, I just absolutely love.

    I can't help but wonder if the first story on here is talking about 536 AD or some older natural catastrophe.

    Are history or I should say even the concept of our modern version of History was only started by a Greek, that form of recording events wiped out oral History besides the Norse men. I have a feeling there were great Civilizations in-between these ice ages. When whole continents move 1,000s of miles, where would the evidence be of a great civilization. Atlantis is only one example. I believe mankind has been around far longer than we believe

      @@BlowingbytheOz na pangea was pre continantal break...all 1 landmass yes.... but I believe the Bible don't go back as far as ... but as far as Graham Hancock goes and the flood it does make sense that that area (egypt) to NOAH and the KNOWN WORLD in his time was a lot smaller then our time ... so there could be some truth in Genesis I like to think of it as a type of History

      @@t.g.9782 our timelines are all wrong our history is ALOT older. I know what i said and there’s a reason i said it. Did you know that the chinese have a “myth” about 4 dragons and in this myth they say “Back in those times there was only one land mass” ask yourself this why does a civilization who had no idea about tectonic plates be talking about a single land mass? The answers are everywhere it’s when people CHOOSE a SINGLE religion that narrows their VIEW and BAM the system works just like it’s designed

    I dont get the difference between aesir and jottun. according to this story, both were formed by nature. Ymir from dew and bur from a Cliffside so im assuming stone.
    Also Odin is part jottun. so seriously, what's up with the tension

      Similar to the Greek gods warring against the Titans; if the Titans are the the gods' parents, then the gods are just younger Titans...they're the same kindred

      Different tribes of gods, all are powerful, vanir in magic, jotun in strength and aesir in both.

      @@MrLaz0rz @W scott albeit true what you said....my mans said he didn't didn't understand the difference between Æsir and Jotun based off his own understandings ✌🏾according to THIS story✌🏾
      Why you even being up Vanir (no matter how integral they are overall) even clarity was asked for the difference between Æsir and Jotun?
      Come on now, everybody ain't trolling.....and if you know him and he is trolling, I stand corrected....but everythang don't gotta be distracted, meaning;
      If someone asks "What's your mama name?" you don't gotta go off on a tangent saying "My great grandpapa name is..."
      Stick to the script homie. This how folk be getting fucked up on "historical" shit....there's always some person to smart for their own good to stay on tract and answer a simple ass question, out it's a zealot.
      Let's be better by doing better lol 💪🏾

      Think of the Jotnar as representing the elements and the wilderness, and the Aesir and Vanir representing human interests and characteristics.
