Very cool, I am on the billboard at 00:12, I did an instore that week for my new release, "Renaissance In Formation". Very cool, introduced by John Lennon (RIP). Just stumbled across this looking up The Beatles and Tower Records. I have a photo beneath the marquis, too! Was just looking at it! My bass player and guitarist on my last album, "Tribute For Salvation" recently recorded on Ringo's last phenomenal album! Beatles are one of my major influences. I recorded a Reggae Oboe Version of "Girl" on my last album. Thanks for sharing this. I miss Tower Records in West Hollywood, CA. Todd Meehan was the Manager for the In-Stores back then. Roseanne Cash and Yma Sumac both performed around the same week I did. Apprecialove

The audio is taken from his in studio radio appearance on KHJ Los Angeles 1974 while promoting Walls N Bridges.

One of my favorite hang outs an I have bought numerous things from there. No thanks to technology, it is sadly now, only a part of history. John, Elton an many other celebrities use to shop there

My favorite store was at the corner of Broadway and South Land Park Drive. It had a more intimate feel to it.

I loved the painted key art of the LPs that adorned the outside windows! But what a weird curve off the street into the parking lot - and hoping you could get in and out of traffic safely.
