No Safe Haven: The Weaponization of Migration

  • A migration crisis - which peaked in 2015 as a result of the ongoing Syrian war - is now being compounded by an influx of refugees fleeing the Taliban in Afghanistan, conflicts in Sub-Saharan Africa and the collapse of the Lebanese economy.
As the main transit route to Europe, Turkey already hosts more refugees than any other country in the world and President Erdogan has seemingly run out of patience. But Europe has hardened its borders and refugees accuse EU member states of breaking international law in their attempt to keep them out.
Now millions of refugees are finding themselves in the center of a political chess match that puts their lives in more danger.

First question I have is why their true destination is Germany? Why isn't it UAE or Qatar or Saudi Arabia or Bahrain or Kuwait? Being Muslims they will surely be easily assimilated in those countries. Why take a more dangerous and longer route to Europe?

As someone who was born and raised in the Middle East and identifies as an atheist, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and mindsets of people from the region who choose to migrate to Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, many who fled to Europe were doing so for genuine political reasons. They were escaping oppressive regimes, whether Islamic or dictatorial, often because their beliefs as non-Muslims, socialists, or leftists put them in danger.
However, since the 2000s, the motivations for migration have shifted. Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.
Integration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.
To address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. This would provide a secure environment and opportunities for those in need, without overburdening European countries. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.
If people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

When a country is at war, the refugee population will be majority women and children. This is a statistical absolute. See Ukraine.
Economic migration follows a different but well traveled pattern: men go alone, establish themselves, and send for family when they are able.
Yet, we see that the Middle East and African asylum seekers are overwhelmingly young single men. They are not feeling war, they are seeking to improve their economic situation. The problems is that they are posing as refugees, and the resources and good will that are meant for refugees ate diverted to the imposter's.
It naturally angers people. It's an intolerable Injustice. It should not be tolerated.
Economic immigrants should arrive by invitation with needed skills. They benefit themselves and their host country. They do not get fee hotel stays and food.
So, our imposter refugees are economic immigrants who would be refused entry because they do not have the requisite skills.
    This situation is outrageous.

Here’s the rub, most countries are ill equipped to handle 100k-1M refugees. Greece for instance has one of the world’s highest national debt and while their economy is doing better now than a decade ago it still has a long way to go. The other issue is cultural, most Muslim immigrants don’t want to assimilate to the countries culture that took them in and expect the country to bend to their will. Middle Eastern immigrants would even clash in a Muslim country like Bosnia because they’re just too culturally different despite all practicing Islam.

So Dutch families become homeless or are living with 3 generations in a small home while watch fresh immigrants with a 5 year license to stay get the rental homes. It’s not fair to citizens of ANY country to dump hoards of unknown, unvetted people onto us and our cities AND expect us to support, educate, provide healthcare and pay for them. People from poor countries think westerners and Europeans are all rich. In our societies we work extremely hard and sacrifice our entire lives to have a good future and healthcare if we need it. We pay a lot of tax to have safe cities and towns. When you dump thousands and millions of people into our countries we all sacrifice even more and cannot access housing, healthcare or social programs because they are overwhelmed helping illegals. They always go to some rich country with lots of welfare. They never just go to a safe country. There are plenty of safe countries (many in the middle east) that are not rich but they don't go there. Instead they cut across ten different countries to go to Germany. Gotta get that welfare. On the other side of the world they march across ten other countries (most of them safe) to get to the US. Again, it's all about the money. When New York will give you free housing, meals, and healthcare why would you settle for a safe life in Panama or Mexico?
The whole asylum process needs to change on a worldwide level. There should be a single UN review of every asylum claim. Countries around the world could offer spots to asylees. Then if your claim is approved you spin the wheel and go to whatever country they tell you to go to. Maybe it's Switzerland. Maybe it's Botswana. If you turn that country down then you waive your right to asylum everywhere.
Also, is there any country that actually wants immigrants anymore? These "asylum seekers" should go there rather than try to force their way into Europe.

Muslim social attitudes on modern issues have caused controversy everywhere. Islam to be incompatible with secular society, and that, unlike other religions, Islam positively commands its adherents to impose its religious law on all peoples, believers and unbelievers alike, whenever possible and by any means necessary. Islam allows to propagate abuses, such as the mistreatment of women and homosexuals, and slavery. They also state that multiculturalism allows a degree of religious freedom that exceeds what is needed for personal religious freedom and is conducive to the creation of organizations aimed at undermining secular values. According to poll, high people had an unfavourable view of Islam, higher than for any other religion.Islamic rule in India was a form of colonialism, characterized by the imposition of a foreign islamic culture, religion, and political system on the Indian subcontinent. Muslims were foreign invaders who came to India and imposed their Islamic faith and culture on the indigenous population. They point to examples of the destruction of Hindu temples, the imposition of Jizya tax on non-Muslims, and the forced conversions to Islam as evidence of this colonialist mindset.
