I am always amazed as the marvelous craftsmanship exhibited by these men that work in primitive environments. The skill and arititic abilities never cease to amaze me. I would love to be able to teach these sheet metal skills to my metal shop students. I do manage to have a few Gen X and Gen Z students who are not afraid to get their hands dirty, their hair messed up or sweat. Rare commondity in America nowadays.

I didn't realize that there was such a demand for Mosque towers in Afghanistan. That is some lovely brass sheet that they are using. I wonder if it is produced locally. I would have like to have seen how the frame is made. Can anyone explain the significance of the shapes and design?
That is quite clever how they ground down a drill bit to make the punch for the rivet holes.

These are typical onion shapes, like in some other religions and buildings. Think of Russian orthodox churches. The half moon symbolizes sheitans horns.
