I’m actually in Chicago and keep African cichlids all summer in pond. They do great but just need to be brought in in September when it cools.

I was searching for this comment. I watched the episode with this family... (and the pool is amazing, of course, but) when Lucas called that "ol' bird guy" to build the first pond for the birds, I thought "hmmm that ain't gonna work as he intends to" and now I see that I was right. Tim saved that house landscape.
This is what an animal habitat is supposed to look like and only like this. There's not one animal out there that wouldn't enjoy this huge pond setup. Somebody tell Camp Kenan this what he needs in his backyard for those tortoises.

Pools which are constructed using Any kind of Plastic to stop water seepage in under grounds, is not a pool. It's a plastic water container. Putting plastic in ground, water or The other way round is same, its polluting nature.
That plastic contains many plants and fish and another creature life healthily so its a lot better than just grass or nothing
