Honestly I think it's silly he quit the show because he's "moved on" which is just code for too famous. I love Mr. Burgers but his standup act is/has been mediocre and I don't think he's going to get the opportunities his agent may be envisioning. The Eric Andre show is a unique place to display some off color humor with creative freedom. Why would anyone leave a gig like that? For sidekick roles in wack movies or guest starring on lame ass podcasts? Smh

I think what makes Hannibal so great is that he serves not as a foil to Eric, but instead to the guests to show just how truly absurd everything happening really is.
The pranks in this show are so unique, even the fact that they crank the heat up in the studio just to make everyone sweaty and uncomfortable

1:37-2:42 is so freaking insanely hilarious to me. Starting off with a really corny bad joke cutting to a stupid sound effect with the guitar riff. Watching Hannibal acting like he’s playing the guitar but his motions not even remotely matching the sounds. Hannibal acting maniacal and then the skit devolving into Eric making really uncomfortable awkward comments about his children, leading to the entire skit ending with crazy cuts and edits with a crescendo of guitar playing and music. It’s just pure randomness and insanity that perfectly speaks to my comedic senses. That type of comedy is hilarious to me and I can’t explain why.

You gotta remember this show is heavily edited together; we can't even trust that things happen in the order they're presented whenever the shot changes, or that awkward silences aren't added in for comedic effect, etc. Sit back, enjoy the ride, but don't walk away with any serious assessments of the guests' personalities based on a manic hour-long interview chopped to be under a minute.
