    Nice useful brick. Add an extra voltmeter that will report current state of a main battery, so you can predict behavior of your system and protect main battery from over discharge.

      Great point! I can set one of the display's to incoming voltage because I don't think these knock-off batteries have any built in protection.

    Brilliant invention and design. Curious to hear what kind of heat that box interior is running.

      So far so cool. It's probably about 10 degrees warmer than ambient after 15 minutes and really doesn't get any warmer than that no matter how long I have it running.

    Thanks im looking at getting one of these boards for my sons power wheels. It uses a 6v lead acid battery and would like to use my power tools battery pack instead. They use 24Vdc. So ill need a step down converter to get 6Vdc. Willing to give this a try.

      For sure. That's my spare time project and well, I haven't had much in months. I for sure will get back on it but I have to finish the living room project and then I want to get my DIY solar setup rolling. Then the car will get more love.

    add low voltage disconnect before ya destroy youyr battery

    • @Trialnerror
      @Trialnerror  Před měsícem

      Done it a few times, I just bump it up by wiring it to another battery to get the voltage up enough so the charger will charge it. Not the best for battery life but I'm a hack :)
