Eurorack Tape Looper 'Lubadh' from Instruo // Superbooth 2019

- Expecting nothing less from the team at Instruo they've delivered lots of great new Eurorack modules for Superbooth 2019. Lubadh (or Lúbadh to precise) is a dual tape looper module that has two reels to record to, scrub, loop, modulate, play in reverse, re-pitch and more. The emulation and inspiration of Nagra tape machines doesn't end with the looping as the input stages offer analogue emulations of the sound of tape with soft clipping, filtering and asymmetrical saturation. You can also sound on sound loop and derive various clock divisions / multiplications per loop to sync a whole system.

at 2:49 he perfectly looped "...unbequemen Lage. Die Wirstschaft stagniert..." by pure chance, which translates so "...uncomfortable position/situation. The economy stagnates..."
nice
Instruo modules not just sound great, they just look like a piece of modern art on their own.
Best drunken chipmunk generator in eurorack.
Instruo is going places, I'm always excited to see what they're cooking next.
The tape reel LEDs on this are delightful.
yeah beautiful module.
This.
This is what I've been waiting for! I started making sound with tape and reel to reels and have been desperately wanting to bring that into eurorack (I lost all my equipment years ago in a fire and finding that stuff now is mad expensive). I have been torn between Morphagene and Nebulae for ages now as they are both incredible instruments, however, neither have exactly what I'm looking for. This most certainly does.... and its Instruō! So hyped for this!
£430?? geez. I was expecting more 500-600. Hope you do a full demo vid soon! :)
Nice! Agree that the panels with graphics look very cool. The sound is excellent.
Stunning looking module. This is going to be fun!
A truly inspirational module that even by looks alone is amazing!
I hope the circuit board behind is equally symmetric : D
Many years ago I saw some works consisting of symmetric drawings with copper treads on green circuit boards. Drawings that looked like normal circuit board lines, but symmetric. Can't remember weather there where any chips, diodes and stuff on them though, and can't find them again now as the internet has become full of circuit board art..
My God I can't wait till the end of the year for this!
If can really nail 430 with this, count me in! Amazing module and way overdue to have a real tape looper module. Glad someone now builds one! :)
That's gorgeous.
This guy is so dope..
But my heart sank when he said end of the year
to be fair, it was well timed lmao. plenty of eurorack junkies needing something to keep em entertained.
This module was amazing and such a beautiful intuitive/clever interface design with the light indicators. Great video btw, I'd forgotten some of the detail, so much to take in there. At ~£430 this should sell bucket loads.
Pretty danged awesome guys!
Can’t wait to play “I’m sitting in a room” with it...
pretty sick
luv it!
I want this now!!
Hey Ben. Great ! i really enjoy watching all the SuperBooth 2019 video's, thanks for that!!!!. Is there also a video on Instruo ArbHar?
Awesome! Did you get a good demo of the granular processor too? These are two of the most GAS inducing modules I've seen in a long time...
Haha, partially it is very hard to focus on what he is saying when you understand what is being said in the radio 😂
Actually I am very interesting with this displayed 4 rows eurorack case, does anybody know where the instruo team have it? are they custom made, because as far as I know there's no eurorack case manufacturer currently built that (i,e MDLR, Fraptools, etc)...appreciate for any info guys.
he needs to send on of these to knobs
I love it but I’m not sure how I’d use it. Hmm 🤔
Like Morphagene?
neeeeeeeed ! ;-)
Can Lubdah do a gradual fade of the loops like Frippertronics?
Hi Bill, yeah you can set up feedback delays so at under 100% feedback things decay away. You can also bounce sounds between the two decks (sides/reels/buffers) and adjust levels doing that to get things reducing as you go.
@@DivKid just purchased one! THx
Veruca Willy Wonka voice... "end of the year? but, daddy, I want it now!"
Those blank panels!! Wan't to see a rack with manuals like these for every module, or even better maybe, an unpowered case with only instruction panels?
Modern Talking would sound good through this Lubadh though, and another German who must have this module is Haibach.
And I hope the circuit board in this beautiful module is equally symmetric.
"Thru zero" seems to have become an industry marketing buzz word in the modular world I've noticed. I get that it's a big deal in terms of analogue vco FM but this is a sampler. Technically I guess the term is appropriate in the context it's used though, so perhaps I'm just being cynical.
The geeks were right
Jason did a fantastic performance at SchneidersLaden a month ago. Check it out if you haven't seen it:

schreckliches samples - hab mich nicht auf das konzentrieren können was er gesagt hat, hab ständig den propaganda im Hirn gehabt, und das hat mich so aufgeregt ... ich könnte die wände hochgehen! (als nicht radio und tv gehirngewaschener...)
