Understanding Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah

  • The last days as described in Matthew 24 may make us anxious and afraid. The symbols found in the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), assures us Christ brings peace through his loving grace. Just as the blowing of the trumpets signaled to Israel the time to prepare for the holiest of days, the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), so too should we listen to the trumpets that have sounded and spiritually prepare to meet our Lord and Savior.

      @Northstar Borealis Messiah Ben David (Jesus) has come. Ben Ephraim as well, and with him Elijah. We await the Righteous Priest and the restoration of the Temple of the Mount.
      On this day in the Year 5588 AM, something incredible happened: the stick of Ephraim, Ephraim's record, was found in the land of his decendents, on this day Rosh Hashanah in the year of our Lord 1827.
      If you recognize this Spirit, the Holy Ghost testifying of the urgency of the time, please read the Book of Mormon, and ask God if it is True. The Book depends on the Bible to be a true record, and teaches of the Messiah in a way that brings clarity and light into your life. Like the second wheel on a bicycle, it refutes false notions and acts as a second or third witness in separating the truth from mistake. But, moreso than anything else, it challenges you to ask God, as the epistle of James instructs, to see if it is true, letting go of the outcome and accepting the answer, whatever it is. Regardless of your Choice, rejoice in this day of remeberance. שנה טובה אחי.

      I've enjoyed college level education in history and economics, as well as military training that afforded me native instruction in Arabic and also electronics maintenance. Enough about me.
      You mentioned being lost as to why it's not happened yet. I shared something important relavent to that question. I'll answer questions, but I'm not here to argue with you, nor accept or send insults.

      @payaj2815 Před 3 lety +3

      Northstar Borealis
      I was just reading through the comments that were placed on here after I put my comment down. And I will say that by no means am I some great scholar, I’ve only had about a year of college that was not related to history nor was it related to scripture or religious studies. It is just based off of my personal life experiences & the knowledge that I have gained from the things that I have learned and lived through. I call it my faith.
      The Scriptures tell us that we don’t know when he’ll come, that are father in heaven is the only one who knows. And the Scriptures tell us there will be signs. I can only tell you based off of my personal experiences & what the Holy Ghost has told me. I will tell you that since I was about 11, I have felt that he would come when I was in my mid to late 50’s maybe very early 60’s.
      For me I believe in the book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. And I do believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet. The reason why I feel that way goes back to the signs from my life and what the Holy Ghost has given me. The way I see it is, through out history God has worked through the poor, ignored, & low classes of society. Which is why I do believe that it is true that God can work through his children, even a 14-year-old boy in the middle of the forest. My point, is that I don’t put limits on God. I feel that if he is able to make solar systems and planets, and make our world in seven days. He’s able to do anything that he desires.
      I will leave you with this, that I was not raised horribly religious, because my parents chose to stop going to church when I was about five. So what I do know has been gained from seeking it. In my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints, we are told that if we want to know what is true, to ask of God. I truly believe that he desires the very best for all of his children and he desires for his children to know the truth. So the only thing I can do is encourage you to seek the truth for yourself. To pray, to ask with a sincere heart to know what is true and what is not true. And I do believe that God will answer your prayers as I do believe he answers all of our prayers.

      I don’t understand what the problem is with Christians… saying other Christians are part of a cult when they too believe these are the latter (last) days, Jesus is the Christ, the Bible is the word of God with the understanding that it’s been translated multiple times and may not be perfect (which should be agreeable to every Christian sect but Catholics because of the reformation… “mormons” are Protestant by definition too), that Christ’s church was built on authority with apostles etc., in baptism by immersion for the remission of sins as a covenant to always remember Jesus and keep His commandments… is it Moroni?.. is it because something they hold significant also happened to land on one of the Jewish holy days? I don’t understand the “cult” thought or where it comes from but it sounds like those who look at other Christians as evil are part of some exclusive cult where they’re better than everyone else. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Just my thoughts.
      Love you all. Repent and turn to the only one who is mighty to save: Jesus the Christ, Jeshua Hamashiach, the only place of refuge. I’ll do my best to do the same and hope to meet Him with you in the clouds.

    A clear vídeo to understand the feasts in this month of feasts :) we are living the prophecies. A blessed Feast of Sukkot, and a good day of Yom Kippur to you all brothers :) About Moroni: 1Timothy says:” For if us or an angel teach you another gospel than this that we have spoken to you let him be accursed” Isaiah 8 “To the Law and to the Testimony, if they don’t speak according to this word, there is no light in them” this things concerning that this Moroni or the other gospel is not from God, but another gospel that Paul, God condemns. Doesn’t go after the Law neither to the testimony of Christ.

    • @messagesofChrist
      @messagesofChrist  Před 3 lety +6

      Glad you enjoyed the video! As for Moroni, I guess I would ask, how do you know the message he shared was "another gospel"? I for sure agree that if an angel comes and declares another gospel that it should be rejected, but only God knows if Moroni's message was not His. I have read the Book of Mormon, asked God if it is true, and have felt the power of the Holy Ghost witness of its truth. I guess I believe in a God who continues to reveal and teach his children as he did in times of old. I believe in a God who, just as in the days of Noah, sent a prophet to prophecy to the people of the problems that would happen to them. I believe in a God who still sends messengers, prophets, angels, and revelation. I sure know it is a comfort to me to know this. That said, I also respect my brothers and sisters who don't feel that way.

      The contradiction to God’s word happened well before the creed of Nicia when the corrupt shepherds perverted the gospel that Christ set up when He was on the earth. They made changes. Revelation speaks of this-the red dragon (the corrupt Catholic church leadership)-devoured the child (the Church) before it was born. Remnants were left. God called Joseph Smith to be the prophet to correct the changes that had already been made by the Red Dragon church leadership (the Catholic church leadership).

      @rachelczumaya2806 Před 2 lety +1

      @JJR , the Christian leadership post 2nd century BC and the Romans were the ones who took apart God’s word and changed and altered it. Joseph Smith restored the parts that were lost that we were ready to have. He did not go against the Bible. For He sought God’s advice for following James 1:5-6 “if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God.” He knelt down and prayed and asked God which Church to join. God answered him by telling him they had all parts of the truth but they had been corrupted by men. God called Joseph Smith to restore what was lost from the Bible that God wanted us to have. There is so much knowledge and the mysteries of the kingdom of God are available to those who ask in faith.

    • @rachelczumaya2806
      @rachelczumaya2806 Před 2 lety

      @JJR the 200 year old Book of Mormon you speak of was given by revelation from God. Joseph Smith was a prophet just like Moses. Moses also received the Torah from God the same way. Have you read the Book of Mormon? Because if you have, you will know it is God’s word, voice, and Holy Spirit when you read it. It is definitely God’s word as sure as the Bible is.

    • @rachelczumaya2806
      @rachelczumaya2806 Před 2 lety

      @JJR the Bible was never added to by Joseph Smith, but rather it was corrected from those corrupt religions that added to it after they apostatized from the truth Christ set up and killed His apostles that held the keys to the Kingdom of God. THEY are who that scripture in Revelation references, the corrupt creed of Nicaea and all the partially true religions that surfaced post 200 AD who edited and added to the religion. If you study about Constantine, he “converted” to Christianity in effort to reform it so that it became a gentile church. It adulterated Christ’s church as He set it up. Parts of Christianity survived in effort to some day restore the Jews and the Lost Tribes back unto the House of Israel in the latter days to prepare them for the return of Jesus to the world-which is shortly to come to pass.
      Also, the Book of Mormon was not an addition, but rather scripture that God caused to be written by those prophets in the ancient Americas who were part of the Lost 10 tribes who had been carried away during 600 BC siege on Jerusalem.

All who repent, believe, are baptized and keep his commandment are His. The bible is the word of God. The Book of Mormon preaches and teaches of Christ. All that bring people to Christ, to pray to God, and follow his example is of God so said God. Apostles and prophets as in the bible are restored personally by Jesus. Not a reformation by a mere man who was neurotic with guilt over sin so erased 1500 years of teachings and scripture to create his own church. That was apostasy Catholics could argue so anyone who follows Martin Luther churches are in fact not Christian they could say. But who knows others’ hearts and has been given authority to judge who is or is not Christian. Everyone would point fingers at each other. That is not the gospel of Christ. Christ wants all to come and partake which is indeed the plan written in all scripture.

Yes, I agree that we are not to add words as man, but God can add whatever he wants (at least that is the God I believe in). I don't believe in a limited God who cannot speak to us in these days. So the question in my mind is not if God can add or take away words, it is if the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Only God can answer that. If it is, then God can add it if he wants. Again, I believe in a God who still speaks to his children.

The foundation (Torah) was given for a reason. The Torah, God's instructions/law/truth, serves as an anchor so that we may test teachers/doctrines and discern what is false.

      @@bgood1532 The Book of Mormon says Jesus was born "at Jerusalem" which would be correct. When describing where I am from, I do not say the city, but instead, the neighboring city (Denver) as no one knows the city I was born in. Am I incorrect in saying I from Denver? I would say no, but people could say I was wrong. Also, I was born in a hospital not in my city, so should I say where I was born, or the city where I actually lived? So the text says Jesus was born "at Jerusalem" not "in Jerusalem". I am sure that won't convince you, but to me, I don't see an issue. Here is an article, which you might find helpful, though I assume it won't change your opinion. bookofmormoncentral.org/qa/if-jesus-was-born-in-bethlehem-why-does-alma-say-he-would-be-born-at-jerusalem
      Which tribe were the priests? Well, the BOM does not say this, it only says that the people were of the tribe of Joseph, and that some of the people were ordained as "priests". The problem with this argument is likewise easy. Was Jesus of the tribe of Levi? Yet he is called the "great high priest". Solomon, also of the tribe of Judah, dedicated the temple and offered sacrifice. Moses, who was not the high priest (Aaron his brother was) goes into the Holy of Holies. Moses was a Levite, but not a priest, yet acts in many ways as if he was a priest. He even offers sacrifice, which only was allowed to do by priests (descendants of Aaron, which Moses is not). Why? He was the prophet and as we teach, had the Melchizedek priesthood. Isaiah has a vision of the Holy of Holies and is likewise not a Levite or the high priest. David enters the temple and eats the showbread, which was only reserved for the Priests, yet the Jews never say it is a problem, even Jesus uses the story as an example. Many of the Old Testament prophets either enter the temple, offer sacrifice, or perform "priestly" rituals. So, if the Bible does not need to be consistent on how priesthood works, then why does the Book of Mormon? I actually believe the Bible is very consistent, but it is consistent in that prophets and some other significant leaders, who most were not Levites, were allowed to enter the temple, offer sacrifice because they were not using the Levitical priesthood but instead the Melchezidek. If this is not the case, then you have to explain all these "exceptions" of non-Levites doing "priestly" activities.
      Who is Muelk the son of? The son of King Zedekiah. Yup, the bible says all his sons were killed. I don't have an issue with this. There are many ways around this. What if the wife was pregnant and she gives birth after? What if the writer of this story did not know that all the sons were killed? For example, is every story in the Bible 100% correct in how it is told? Well, you might say yes, but the answer is no. The writers of the Bible were not perfect, only Jesus was, and they were not historians, they were writing to the best they knew. They made mistakes in what they said. They may have heard things wrong. I'll just give two examples. What day was Jesus killed? According to Matthew, Mark, and Luke it was the day after Passover. According to John, it was on Passover. How can the Bible get something as important as this detail wrong? Want to talk about "where Jesus was born"? How about the Bible not knowing what day Jesus died? Why? Well, as I have discussed in some of my videos, John is likely less concerned about the actual date, and more about the symbolism of Jesus being the lamb of God. But put simply, the Bible has issues itself. Another example. Did Jesus cleanse the temple twice or once? John only mentions the cleansing at the start of the ministry, while Matthew, Mark, and Luke mention it at the end. So who is right? Or did it happen twice? Again, probably John is playing with the dates to make a point, but we just don't know. Does this make the Bible wrong? In my opinion, no, but you have to be careful if you say that you are willing to throw out the Book of Mormon because of inconsistencies while the Bible is full of them. Again, I don't have an issue with this. I believe that only Jesus was perfect, so even the prophets and writers were not perfect, and did either make mistakes, or they "worded" things for their audience. I see no difference with the BOM.
      Is there one God? Well, according to the Book of Mormon, there is one God. I am sure you are referring to teachings by Joseph Smith, but "multiple gods" are not in the Book of Mormon. As this is already taking far too much time, I will avoid this (at least for now) to say you said this was in the Book of Mormon. It is not, so that is not a valid argument at least from why you said the Book of Mormon not being true. We could talk this on the merits of Joseph Smith teachings, but your question relates to the BOM.
      Are children able to sin? Yes, but Christ atones for their sins so they do not have to suffer for this. They are perfect in Christ. I am sure you will debate this, so I would ask the verse in the Bible that states that children will go to hell because of sin. I assume that is what you are going for here. Sin of Adam on their heads, or something like that.
      Are Jesus and Satan brothers. This is another easy one. I would also ask, where in the Book of Mormon does it say this? You did say this is one of the reasons you don' believe in the Book of Mormon, because this is in it. So I'd love the verse that states the are brothers in the BOM, as well as the verse in the Bible that states this. I have yet had a single "Christian" who can explain why this is even an issue. Who is Satan? Who created him? And what is he? Is he just a blob? What about the third host of heaven that sinned with him and were cast out? Are they just blobs? Why is he called a "fallen angel"? Are angels children of God? If not, what are they? My understanding is that God created all things, so this would mean that God created the spirits that became wicked. This does not mean God created wickedness, only that these spirits chose not to follow God. Either way, if you believe God created all things, then what is Satan?
      I am sure I did not convince you on a single point. And that is fine. Just know, I have done my research, and I knew of each of these issues well before you asked. I guess the question I would ask. If God said these things were true, would you believe it? I'm sure you will walk around this by saying, well, if it is not in the Bible, then I won't believe it. That is fine. But I believe in a God who still speaks with his children. A God who is not limited to "word count." Or a God that only wants his children in ancient times to have prophets and revelation. If God is not changing (which I assume you believe), why does he stop revealing his word to prophets in our days? Simply stated, I believe he does.

I love learning about other religions, not because I agree with all the teachings, but I think there is an important aspect of understanding our brothers and sisters, even those who we disagree with. That is what Jesus did. He spent his time not with those who just thought like he did. He spent time with Gentiles, Samaritans, the poor, lepers. Why? Well, we could debate as to why, but I think because he was not afraid of people who thought differently, because he saw them for who they are, children of God.

    That glaring problem with this video is it fails to take account of the 40 year exodus. All of the spring feasts were fulfilled at the exact same time as the feast days. This would indicate the fall feasts should also be fulfilled as well. 40 years after the cross, was the last trumpet. When the old covenant system came to an end in 70AD. That was the second coming in judgment. It all already happened.
