It brought tears in my eyes...such a nobel deed, you are the best husband and the greatest teacher of all, love the way you keep your relationship alive. Hats off. And yes, some of our doctors are assholes, but some aren't, Tenzin, I request you not to have the same notion for all, some of them(doctors) are extremely wonderful.

This moving story is a wake up call for all of us. One the one hand, we do have a health system that provide us with basic (and to a greater part, free) medical care but we all know that it is far from good. This story, in my view, teaches us about two symptoms of the societal problem we face. First, our complacency with regard to competence and expertise in various fields/areas/disciplines of Science and Humanities, including obviously in the field of Medicine. We have a long way to go in this regard. This is connected with wisdom/insight (ཤེས་རབ་), i.e. skill/expertise. Second, it is often sad to see our attitude towards our fellow human beings and citizens. Those of us in respectable and responsible positions have the tendency not to treat our fellow citizens (regardless of who they are and regardless of their societal/economic status) with respect. We are often unaware that we are actually there to serve our people, each in his/her own capacity and area. Politicians are for the people, doctors for the patients, teachers for students, and so on. In other words, we do not manage to apply the ethics of benevolence/compassion (བྱམས་པ་/སྙིང་རྗེ་). If the doctors who treated our late teacher had the necessary competence/expertise coupled with respect/care/concern for her and her plight, the tragedy might not have happened.

This is such a tragic and heart breaking story,,
Only if sir Tenzin had a superior Jabtha either MP or Dasho or someone big, who could favor the Doctors, then the wife could have lived even Today.
In fact, all medical aspirants must watch this video to try to treat humanly and act humanly, even in the most stressed out moment and learn hook and nook pages of all respective medical books, so no other sir Tenzin become so stiff...🙏
    Om ma ne padme hung.🙏

Its very touching, i appreciate ur ideas and initiatives that u have taken......About what happened with your wife i think it is a big tragedy, i too have experience such bitterness from our so called health officials and doctors they have this big egoooooooooo...I think u did a good job by creating an awareness and if it was me i would surely filed a case against those fucking doctors. The main problem is that in our country the doctors are directly recruited just after their graduation without any internship experience (in other country i heard minimum of 4 yrs internship) and this so called fresh doctors treat you reading medical books infront of u....

      Yes sir,
He might be a cool man (Janchubsempa Lugiroaw) means a patient man with sheep horns. That's way he can't do anything to such murder Doctors in the country.
Due to lack of Health experts I heard such problems are facing in Bhutan now and then......................... so, the Health Dept. has to do some thing betterment on this serious issues la.
