That Model 12 hits the nail.
Finally a modern recorder with midi sync.
Must have
Morten yeah, I cant think of much more I would want from it.
Just what I was waiting for . Right now is the only mixer for his price that has many features. now I can sync my Akai mpc live + my Roland FA-08 and My Iphone all together.
For the next update of the Tascam model 12 to be able to edit the audio if posible.
if only if these features came on the model 24 :-(
they added MIDI !!
..that got my attention...so can i sync up my midi drum machine/sequencer?
According to their website yes.
That's awesome
I cant wait to simply press one button and watch song mode execute on my Beatstep Pro and synths.
well my model 24 dont have the future with the midi in and out...Is something that missing alot!! you sould give us at least a firmware with less noisy fx and better metering
So when u trigger record, the midi can start the other devices simultaneously?
Thank you .Will look forward to future tutorials .Paring the audio interface with the mixer ? How to sinc hardware instruments through the mixer ? A demonstration a multi hardware setup ? It was a good product demonstration .
Do you have to feed the metronome to a channel in order to hear it when you record?
Can you record to the internal recorder and record to daw at the same time using model 12 ?
WHY there is no review on the model 16 i have one and would like to no more about it
He totally forgot you can record to SD card too. It’s great.

Can't use my TASCAM USB-Mixer anymore, because they don't do updates for discontinued products. No more TASCAM for me.
Thanks for that & disappointing to hear that Tascam are going down the "gurgler" :-( what OS are you running ?
@@BogdanWeiss Win 10 on i7 with Tascam M164-UF. Look up the driver and you will see.
@@erwocoolis9451 Thanks... Tascam had such a great reputation & solid engineering for quite some time - so what's your interim solution ? "freeze" windows updates ? I just started using Windows 10 again ( after 10+ years in linux ) & I think I'll go back to Linux & run windows in a VM ) it's a bit of a pain as i wanted to run some engineering software that may not run from a VM.... I can't stand Apple, they treat their clients with disdain & they literally lie like politicians
@@BogdanWeiss I used to record full songs here, but these days i get the other tracks by mail and only add my guitars. I'm using the USB output of my preamp for that. Modern times...
It's a Digitech GSP1101 and they stopped supporting the software/driver while they were still selling it. One of their former employees finished the job unofficially and unpaid. So, yeah, TASCAM is bad, but many are worse.
My last contact with Apple was when i ran a MAC emulator on my ATARI ST in 1989, haha. We are a PC and Samsung family.
@@erwocoolis9451 Hah ! :-) Sounds like your experience & skills would make for interesting conversations... I'm not sure if you noticed but some of the recent AES conventions are including DIY audio workshops - there's a tremendous amount of satisfaction & potential learning by building your own equipment - even simple stuff - I mean most young people today only know how to install an app ... & that gets pretty boring very quickly - thanks for sharing - I'm running "vintage" thinkpads with SSD's works just fine for what I need atm & "new stuff" is getting cheaper by the minute.. peace&respect :-)
Why studio equipment look so bland, and boring? Why can't it look like the Colored I Macs.
