Funny that Syndicate has become most ignored AC game along with rouge
The way they threw back from world war 1 to ancient egypt was funny🤣
At lydia frye's time the idea of assassin was becoming obsolete ( they prolly need hitmen because of guns and modernisation) and odyssey was fare back and wasnt even ac at all
I actually find rogue being underrated. Shay's story is very good and a key part to Haythams, Connors and Arno's story. Its a pretty good side game, also the first one where we actually have a full game playing as a Templar, i wish there were more dark stories like that
Syndicate was pretty good. I liked it. But looking back at it, it was almost a joke of a game story wise. Just lacked some big names and the story was weak. Fun game nonetheless. I think the problem is also Ubisoft feeling like they needed to have a new setting for every single game. I wish they would stick to a setting for 2 or 3 games. Origins sequel was a HUGE missed opportunity. They were in this phase of wanting so badly to have players be a female assassin. With Odyssey they instead opted for gender choice when all they really had to do was make an Origins sequel and continue Aya's story 🤦🏻♂️
Why would u do parkour if you have grappling gun
@@GodlyPlayer9163 Uhhhhhhh okay but rouge is not a side game it's a Main game
I really want to know what happened between AC3's parkour and Black Flag's parkour. AC3's was so smooth but then Black Flag kinda went back to the older style of parkour that felt a little more dated.
Wth are you talking about? Both have mechanics equally similar to the older games and the real reason is that many features like rock climbing, civilian air assassination, hanging civilians, waterfall climbing and actually more types of trees were removed in black flag
I’ve always felt as if AC3 was sooo much smoother than AC4 and rogue. Same goes for the hidden blade mechanics. Just felt better in 3.
Yes they made it chukier
I think it's cool. Different characters, different parkour. Also in black flag parkour was barely used, since the cities were almost all flat and we spent most of the time in the ship
The thing is Connor. This man is the smoothest protagonist i've ever seen in a videogame
unity had and still has the best parkour in the entire franchise i just hope mirage is able to compete at the very least
Hope fully bro, cause the game play image looks fire
Mirage has so much potential
good luck Ubisoft announced their Japanese game so if it flops they'll still make a killing 🙄
Unity and its moon gravity hahahaha
It won't be on the level unity was for sure but probably minutely similar
Worst story though.
Kenway was the most infuriating to freerun with because he would just jump off of super tall things and screw up the game randomly. When characters do that in games i always refer to it as kenwaying
Ah, you got Ezio'd 😂😂
Only time id have that issue is when I was boarding enemy ships and trying to jump from the masts. Otherwise I never had an issue with Kenway's free running.
Especially on ships. Climbing to cut down a flag and then climbing down was a risk both ways

It is a good game i agree.
It’s a great game, some just don’t like it because people have certain expectations for an AC game.
If the game was called Story of a demigod or something it would have been reviewed better I think.
@Austin Bartley it feels enough like assasins creed for me but I understand why people think that. It just doesn't feel quite the same.
its a good game especially if you're into ancinet greek lore.
I played for one reason and I was satsified. Spartan Kick.
The og parkour wasn't bad. In fact, it was the best. You had a lot of control over it and could predict most of the time what you were going to do. Unity has the best looking and the addition of the freerun down was nice, but it was very unpredictable and you have very little control over it. The best would be the og parkour and the freerun down together.
I agree, AC1 probably had the most reliable parkour, while still providing creativity with side-ejects.
If you think Unity's parkour is unpredictable and lacks control, sorry to say mate but that's a skill issue right there. Get better at the game
@@damiangryphon6349 just watch Whitelight's video on AC parkour where he examines each game and demonstrates how exactly Unity's parkour is unpredictable, because even the most skillfull AC players can't predict the way Arno will choose to overcome an obstacle. You don't know what Arno will do based on distance. Sometimes he will jump a large distance and land with his feet, sometimes he will jump and end up hanging from a wall, and sometimes he'll just target a different object entirely that you were aiming for. And there's no definitive pattern / rule that you can memorize in order to avoid making mistakes like you can with AC1 - Revelations.
@@damiangryphon6349 It can´t be a skill issue because it doesn't require skill lmao
@@kwinoh7772 if you think Unity's parkour doesn't require skill then that proves to me that it's a skill issue, mate. I never experience that problem. Look at players who've mastered the parkour of Unity, they never experience that problem either. It is a skill issue, the game isn't just hold R2 and x and move forward
And then you cut to Valhalla where it's just walking
That's just you not playing right
AC1 then the Ezio games has the best parkour because it’s the most responsive and therefore more rewarding when you learn how to make it look cool. Unity looks cool the easiest, though.
Finally! Someone in this comment section who knows what they're talking about
AC1 does not have the best free running not even close
@@inconsolablepeasant1548 on what grounds do you make this claim?
Finally someone who gets it. When people say that unity is the best parkour it makes me so mad bc all they did was remove any thought process from the climbing and made it braindead easy. Yes the parkour in AC 1, 2, and 3 was harder but it was definitely more realistic and more rewarding. I can play unity with my eyes closed whereas I need to focus more to play the earlier games.

Unity essentially is the emperor's new parkour. Everyone keeps praising it but once the illusion breaks, it can be seen for what it is, a clunky, inconsistent and slow movement system that doesn't hold a candle to the parkour systems of older games.
lmao accurate.
I agree
Bronum really just said og parkour was bad
You had so much more control in the Altair/Ezio era it's ridiculous how much they downgraded the system for simplicity. I guess they took control away to add more to the combat which fucking SUCKS
unity's *looks* the best so most people go off that. But unity's parkour feels completely automatic, while ac1 and ezio required a lot more player input which i think made them feel more involved and skill based
Crazy how AC1 isn't the first clip, nothing beats the level of control you have in that game

Nobody here knows that they're talking about. Just because unity's parkour looks good (when it works) doesn't mean it's the best. In reality it's usually glitching so it doesn't look nice anyways, the maneuverability is fucking nothing, and everything is unrealistic. I love the parkour before unity, it looks very slightly worse only in the sense that it's not just a bunch of animations that no real assassin would do (like doing a little twirl when ur jumping sideways). Let's be honest, ezio, Connor, and Edward are warriors, Arno Dorian is a fucking ballerina. I can't believe so many people are hypnotized into thinking less is more just because of a few new animations.
ACU looks like it has the best parkour until you actually decide to play it yourself. Trust me.
Uh my head hurts watching it… damn these Assassins so good with there casual parkour
What always made me really frustrated was in AC2&3 when there was a forced camera change while doing puzzles or while youre in combat
In ac games there are 2 things in parkour, parkour elements and parkour animations, RPG series have the worst and very less parkour animations. And out of that odyssey has no responsive parkour elements so it becomes the worst parkour system in the series.
the RPG's 'parkour' is basically climbing at this point, there's no flare or momentum. the mechanic's only there to ascend and descend the sides of mountains and temples, its really not very engaging in comparison to older titles
The reason everyone knows the question “Where is the library?” in Spanish is that it’s where you would find an English to Spanish dictionary or translation book. So, when you’re in a foreign place that speaks Spanish, you can be directed to the nearest place that will help you to be able to communicate.
So you're telling me "donde está la biblioteca" doesn't mean "I don't bargain, pumpkin-fucker"?
i just remember it because of technoblade 😅
AC3 "hooooly shiit you can parkour on trees!"
Black flag "you can hide on bushes no waay!"
Unity "100/10!!"
Odyssey "wtf is this?!"
Friendly reminder that Odyssey is extremely underrated, and I will die on that hill.
I don't think that's a rare opinion.
I just can't see that, the parkour is at its worst. The stealth is at its worst. The open world is bland and big just to be big. Story pacing is terrible as well as story relevance, all you have to do is cut out the ten minutes of modern day and there's nothing connecting it to the franchise. Dialogue is awful, the fact we're at the stage where the main character can get sleep with an old lady and chuck her husband outside while he does it is just stupid and tone deaf in comparison to the series. Combat is just Origins but more grindy, I'm really struggling to see what makes this game any good compared to other entries in the series.

Ayo don't disrespect the AC1 parkour system like that! It's not as smooth looking as Unity (due to the game's age I guess) but it is one of the most precise, controlled parkour systems of the whole franchise. You control exactly when you want to drop or jump where and even when you want to grab onto a ledge and in what direction. Basically once you mastered the controls Altair will make almost no movements that you did not want him to make, unlike in the later games where you are like "okay let's quickly jump on that ledge to the left here" only for your character to free fall all the way down to the streets.
