You are absolutely right sir. I have 72 in April. Dumpster dive 30s 40s and 50s. And I’ve had both knees replaced. I kind of put a damper on dumpster diving.

You should bring along an extra pair of socks and shoes/boots and a towel to dry off with. I LOVE that umbrella, red and white the colours of our Canadian Flag 🇨🇦 😊🌈
Would have kept the Cat6 spools. Those would sale at a yard sale.
Mike that stereo system you found, the cd tray is not opening because of a little belt thats come loose, about the turntable, you will need a replacement needle which are pretty hard to find and somewhat expensive, its also kinda cheap.... but its your choice

you need to wear some knee compressions, those jumps out of dumpster are going to catch up with you! Big Fan, "get Yours"
Mike the CD player should have a small hole somewhere close to the drawer, something like the reset hole on a router, put a straightened paper clip/pin in the hole and push, its the manual release for the drawer. It could just be stuck and normally once you get it open it should work normally again.

Your personality pop's and that's just 1 of the reasons I love your videos. I also enjoy you taking things apart and your awesome upbeat attitude. You definitely know what to pick and how to make it come together in the end to get paid top dollar at the scrap yard! You also inform people to be kind to mother earth 🌎 and teach people that we are so wasteful. I truly believe that you are a modern day treasure hunter. You do what most people don't want to ever think about doing. I just hope that your knees are holding up well so we can enjoy more videos. I would need a pool ladder or a fire escape ladder at my age to dumpster hunt.
I've got so many records that my rear spring snapped on the car moving them to the new house a couple of years ago. Over 3000 but only had about 500 in the car! 👍💛 I'm totally addicted to your channel and watch a few videos every day.

Not sure if you already do, or have done it before. Haven't been watching for too long, but I love the videos. Have you ever thought about wearing a reflective vest when doing the bike route? It's definitely for "visibility", but people tend to only look once when they see a guy wearing a vest throwing around trash. I'm sure there are some gray areas there, but just something I was thinking about.

Do like Paul from Scrap n Pallet Man does with his gloves. He turns on the defrost fan and puts his gloves next to the windshield to dry. Carry 3-4 sets of gloves with you also.

In the ad on maroon bells,I use to camp there,set up a little tent,lay outside,look into the starred sky,one of the most beautiful,peaceful places on earth,lived like a 20 minute drive.wish I was still there but.If ur ever in that area of colorado,do not miss a visit to maroon bells.

Locks are for a multi lockout system. take them to a locksmith to get keys cut and then ebay them

If the CD player has a small hole near it stick the end of a paper clip in it and it might eject. It does on cd and DVD players on a computer.

Pained me to see all that cat6 unspooled. Can look at the numbers and see how much is left on the spool. Get a few more bucks selling on the spool than the scrap value.
Mike, see what kind of music the radio plays or listen to the news on that radio to figure out what year it's from. If it's playing late 90's music on the top 10 station or the news is from that time, then you'll know that's when it's from LOL

Same desk l got in my garage l use as a tool-junk box and stereo stand.
I've run a lot of cat wire in our buildings at work and it's got markings on it for how many feet is left in the box. If there's less than 100 ft it's not worth keeping because by the time you go up the wall, across the ceiling of a room or 2 and back down the wall, it's at least 100 ft and if you come up short you just wasted a lot of time and my boss says wire is cheap, time is expensive.
