    When it comes to making horse power, there are hundreds of different ideas and tempers can increase. But getting fuel to the engine has many fathers who are felt they are right. It was internet the fuel line system you explained with 1 into two, then two into one, with a single return using the Corvette filter. I am simply happy when people change the fuel filter. You can't get it off as it's covered in dirt, metal is rusted and certainly can't blow thru it. I never threw away a filter w/o blowing thru it to answer a question I will ask the customer. Where do they get there fuel? Suggestion to change it sooner to prevent injector issues.
    Some stations are better than others with clean fuel from the pump, into the tank. (I am not an engineer as just a contractor labor for ACDelco). I held tech seminars in 7 Midwest states for up to 100+ mechanics / techs. Teacher of two day classes on 30 subject (6 electrical w/lab scopes) in 13 tech colleges and 5 warehouse distributors and the defects returned. Some where actually sold by ACDelco. They gave us no Union type benefits and salary based on where you lived, not where you went.
    At the time 1977, my service mgr ask me to take test from NIASE that started in 1974, I think. I had no idea what it was or turn into. 5 years then all expired, went back 6 times. Passed L1 & P2 later when asked.
    I was surprised by your creativity when plumbing the fuel system. I don't build or work on 1,000HP cars and never will. Your ideas are completely off the chart and cool. Yes, fitting add up quick but I am not sure if you knew that "Holley" owns 80 some companies now including "Earls Fittings", a fuel pump company, engine builder company and so on. If you are buying it for performance, chances are it's owned now, by a company that built 2 small cars in 1900, then asked to make carburetors for use in the new aircraft industry. Holley still owns both cars.

    (LS swap into 67 C10 is my project for me) I hope everyone gets to build there vehicle during this time! A daily driver that makes them happy!

    I never knew you could tie into the original stock fuel lines? Crazy I have been running an-6 high pressure fuel hose.

    I'm familiar with the NHRA rule on mounting the regulator on the firewall, but I'm not sure if there is a rule prohibiting mounting it to a plate which bolts to the firewall. I'd assume that attaching a mounting plate to the firewall would make it the "firewall" by technical definition. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this?

    I’m hoping you’re able to answer this question for me real quick. I want to do a setup like what you’re showing here with an inline pump, but I’m unsure if that means removing the stock fuel pump that’s already in the tank? For reference, I’m doing this on a 1993 with currently a 2.3 in it. In this case am I removing the original stock pump out of the hanger assembly, or leaving it in to push fuel up to the inline one. This might have a very obvious answer but it’s just unclear to me

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah, you'd be better off removing the old one. I know of some people who have left the stock one in there and pulled through it but it reduces the flow of whatever pump you put inline. You might as well just put an in tank pump in when you remove the old one

    I’m fighting a PO300 code replaced injectors,plugs wires,coils it’s a Ls swap in 89 c1500 I’m using a 255lph pump,corvette regulator,6an lines and new sending unit. I have 58 psi when it primes and at idle it has 70psi. Would that be causing my PO300

    • @fikascore
      @fikascore Před 11 měsíci +1

      your Corvette regulator failed. The 255LPH over powers it. It's common with the vette filter regulator. throw in a normal regulator setup. even the Holley regulator shown in this video is hit and miss. your PO300 code is probably fouled plugs due to running rich.
