    What does tightening to the “specified torque” mean?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 2 lety +1

      Spark plugs should be tightened using a torque wrench to a certain tightness, usually measured in Newton Meters or foot pounds. The actual number can be found in the service manual for that vehicle.

    • @zedolvero4515
      @zedolvero4515 Před 2 lety +1

      Damn. Guess I’ll pick one up when returning the set of metric ratchet wrenches I got just for this 🙄

      @@zedolvero4515 You should be able to pick one up for about $30. It's worth having one as most nuts and bolts should be tightened to a particular torque.

    When i removed my plugs they were bosch super 4's multispark plugs.
    I replaced with what i was given from autoparts guy NGK 2087 but the yaris wont start with the new ones. Any ideas?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 2 lety

      NGK 2087 are compatible with that engine. Are the plugs all tighened, the ignition coils properly connected to the top of them and the wiring connectors clipped back onto the coils ?
