I ordered mine on February 24th. I feel like I’m never going to get it. I’m pretty sure the big stores aren’t even through the first day of preorders on the 20th yet. I currently have a Sony A7IV. This will be my first Fuji camera and I want it as an everyday/ travel camera. I love my Sony but it’s too big to bring with me every single day.

I'm not sure how much I buy into the "Fuji is limiting production to generate hype" line but I will say they compared themselves to Leica (lol), and Leica managed to get caught up on 35 APO summicron orders way faster than the much larger Fuji can make X100VIs which is kinda suspicious.

preordered my black model in store henrys at open day of pre orders and told me GG backordered from online sales already.... friend ordered at 3am got his 2months ago.. I'm still waiting... the retailers care not about scalpers or resellers.. it sucks how there's zero care for in person sales anymore. i remember working at best buy and us having a reserved inventory for in person sales guess not at Henrys lmfao. just sucks how all you get from henrys is word salad corporate yappichino... no actual care no actual change in process seems they will keep selling preorders with no hope of filling them..
Now, Fujifilm India has revealed the price of x100vi in India and too high. On paper it say's 1600 US dollars - And that does not translate to ~1.35 Lakhs but 1.8 Lakhs (i.e; ~45K more) . With this pricing, seriously, it does not make any sense at all. X100v initially was just 1.2 Lakhs . X100vi's 33% hike in pricing is just odd. I'm very much decided now, not to go for it. I rather will increase budget a little and get some compact full frame - That's a wise decision.
Don’t worry , no one will get one unless you pay 2x what it’s worth. At that price, spend a bit more and get a Leica 🤷🏻♂️ Fuji really shooting themselves in the foot with this and the V launch. Missed opportunity.
eBay and used everywhere going for well over 2k. Everyone is on a waitlist to buy one, I waited a year and gave up on the V. IMO it’s not worth over 2k, you are venturing into other camera territory there and can get similar + better gear for that price.
It's not exactly Fuji's fault it's so popular. They simply do not have the capacity to produce enough, even after moving production to China. If people are willing to spend more from re-sellers, that's on them - and I agree they would be better off getting a used Q2 or something (though the sizes of the camera's are not too comparable).
@@davey_gravy what does that have to do with not knowing that the V didn’t have IBIS or calling ‘more MP’ for “larger sensor” …. You could at least do some research :)
