- Our automatic MaxxAir 7000k vent fan in our Casita was broken! I had to replace the cracked gear mechanism with a new one that I purchased from Panther RV Products. I give step by step instructions on what I did to fix the problem.

Nicely done video, and informative with realistic commentary about what may typically happen during any repair (loosing parts, which you didn’t…). Unfortunately this video came a bit late for me, and I just paid wayyyy too much to have the fan replaced ($700+ vs. the $20 gear box replacement 😢). I’m ready for this repair next time, thanks to you!

The automatic ones are really nice especially if you're laying in bed, since they come with a remote!
Great video! Had to replace mine recently as well. The gear case was shattered like yours. Very cheap pot metal type case. Needs to be a more robust metal housing considering how much these fans cost. Thanks!
