Your friend's profile has to be signed in on your xbox to play his games.

This has been going on senes xbox 360 its very helpful for people that don't have much games or tight on money that's why digital games are the best because that person gets it too this does not work when your offline

Yeah that was happening. Power off your Xbox (press and hold the power button) supposedly its fixed now

Can you play online games on any account if you have it enabled?
If I have 2 profiles on my Xbox and wanna make the one I just added my home Xbox but would like to switch it back in month or so to the original way I had it as the first profile my home Xbox can I do that? Just wondering before I do cause if can't switch this back the way it was not worth it and don't wanna do it .. Thanks!

I set this up with a friend but every time he tries to play one of my games on his account he gets a message saying: The current profile is not allowed to play XBOX Live. prompting him to buy Xbox live even though I have the game pass ultimate and he shouldn't need to. any idea why this is happening?

I have a question. So when i go to the settings on my account, it says i have “4 of 5” switches left. But my buddy that I am trying to gameshare with it shows “0 of 5” for him. Which means he can’t get the games i have. Any idea on what to do?
Supposedly it will let you do it one more time after the 5 but idk if that is true. You have to wait a year if you use them all up.
We have done this but let’s just say if I were to go back into my account and check the home Xbox button what would happen. Would he still be able to play my games but I won’t be able to play his?

The xbox that i gameshare with has bought a 3 month gamepass code and it is not letting me play multiplayer on cod for example even though they are both ticked as home xbox

How can I tell which realm is the free trial because I have two realm but IDK which one is the free trial and the regular subscription

Yes that would be fine. You can also remove their profile or do a complete reset of the console. I have a video for resetting your console on my channel.

I have two Xboxes. My son and I can’t play same game on two different Xboxes. It through an error but my two boys can play with me signed in in the background.
Make your son's Xbox your home Xbox. If you have issue you can try restarting your Xbox and logging in again with your account. Make sure your account owns the game too.
Hi, me and my friend have gameshared already. Hes bought a new game but i cant see it in library. Do we have to make his xbox home xbox and than repeat this to get it.
Try just logging out and logging in his account.

try downloading the dlc with your friends account. I think that is the onyl way to get the dlc.

You share everything on the account with every other account using the console.

Yes, every user on that Xbox can use the games and Xbox Gold as long as the account that pays for them sets that console as their home.

Your friend would have to sign in to your Xbox and make it his home Xbox. That is all.

Who actually owns the game? That account would have to set the Xbox as their "Home".

i tried game sharing with a friend we both haven't game shared with anyone but it doesn't allow us to set each others as home. We don't get an error message or anything it just loads but the check doesn't go on the box. Any idea why?

Not sure. Try powering off your Xbox completely. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Quick question: Whenever you setup ur game drive to ur xbox, should I just copy all my games on my Xbox to my game drive? Or should I just move it all into my game drive? What’s the difference between copying and moving?
Copying basically keeps the game in two places, the original and then the new copy. Moving deletes it in the original location. It depends, if you want the game to load faster usually the internal is faster.
