Off-season you can get apartment/houses/villas in Cyprus for little money with little to no risk.

Surely this is fraud? I'm so sad for these people who were told a load of lies with glossy brochures and 'due diligence' all pretending to back them up. I wish people were better protected and these criminals were punished which might prevent more rogues attempting these scams.

One of the developments featured in this programme (at Tremithousa) (formerly known as 'Saint George Hills') has been re-branded / re-named and is now being marketed on Alpha Panaretis website as "Club St. George" with a 'grand opening' planned for 1st March 2013. -A full three and a half years Late! ..and almost 7 years after they had investors deposits!! (Needless to say this is not something they will be mentioning in the glossy brochures.)

If some thing is too good to be true. Then it’s wise not to take that risk. Everyone of these charlatans are very cunning and charismatic.

Isn't telling the truth classed as defamation in both Cyprus & ROP's case?!

June 2015 A Scottish buyer visited her so called 'completed property' recently and can confirm the development is like a ghost town. (From a distance it may took completed) however on closer inspection there is peeling paint inside and outside the apartments, rusty handrails and railings, empty pools surrrounded by weeds, and it looks very, very sad indeed.

October 2012 Update: Many of Alpha Panaretis developments have made little progress and/or are no further near completion than a year ago.

I know that this was a long time ago, but I hope these people got some compensation. Also it should be a warning to others to be aware there are so many scammers.

No cases have been settled whatsoever. In fact the really guilty parties have got off Scott free. Whilst most buyers still have the threat of a writ and/or repossession of their UK property hanging over them.

I walk past this development most days on a small village road above the build, it is looking finished now but I do not see any residents, it looks like a ghost village, I do feel for those who invested into this.

I assume you mean the mis-selling? Yes, 100%. Or do you mean the representation of the programme?

Deposits were originally paid to the developers' UK agents in 2006. The original expected delivery was September 2009. Many, many more 'expected delivery dates' came and went over the years since then (with varying excuses for the delays). No responsibility was accepted my the developer whatsoever.
