This is the best live performance I’ve ever heard! Maynard’s vocals are out of this world and beautiful, the instruments are epic, everything about it is top notch ^^ always exciting to see someone experience it for the first time!

Man…anybody else an old skool Tool fan from the 90’s staying up way too late watching reaction videos where new Tool fans are being born before your eyes? Doesn’t it cradle the light in the silent cave of the Heart? I love this.
I come home every night and spend about an hour looking for people's first reaction to Tool songs. Most of which I pass over immediately because I'm getting tired of people reacting to what others reacted to. But then I see you pull up a gem like this. I'm all in and all ears. You've definitely found the B-side Queen.

Just found this. Time to head down the rabbit hole! The greatest band hands down. I began listening and following TOOL in ‘93. Every time they dropped a new album it seemed to attach itself with my beliefs and growth at the time. Soundtrack of my life. I highly recommend reacting to the tool albums in chronological order so you can experience the evolution of the band and see how ahead of their time they were each time. Great reaction! Keep it up.

As you are finding out, your favorite tool song is the current Tool song that you are listening to! Also, you are correct in that each tool song takes you on a journey. Despite the length of the songs in comparison to most songs, they always seem to have you wanting more!
IMO one of the best Tool journeys you could take is a cover of an incredible Led Zeppelin song in which they completely remaster and make there own. I would love to see your reaction, and see if you concur with me, and many others. That song is "No Quarter." It is definitely a trip!

I watch a lot of reaction videos, mostly for Tool songs. Most of them are being genuine and have not heard the song before, a very small minority of them are not. You can always tell when some one has heard the song before because they pause it at exactly correct time to do so in the song. You are definitely genuine because you consistently pause it at the wrong time. DOH. But that is OK. The point and the reason I subscribed is because you do the one thing to fix that DOH moment and rewind the song a few secs. Keep doing that. It allows you to hear the lead up to a crescendo or musical phrase that you would have otherwise missed. I believe it is what separates the wheat from the chaff among people who do reaction videos. This is my favorite song as it has a lot of personal meaning to me. You did it justice and I thank you for it.

Wings for Marie & 10,000 days together is a meaningful experience. But so is Lipan Conjuring & Rosetta Stoned, just different.
Eulogy is by far my fav TOOL song ever...but that entire Aenema album is amazing...those first 5 tracks....dear god..

This is also my favorite Tool song!
The intro Maynard gives will make more sense when you listen to the studio version of this song. Most people would have wanted you to react to the studio version first but I think the other way around is more enjoyable for someone who's listened to salival's version first and comes back around the end of their journey to see where the anger on this song came from.

Somewhere down the line when you revisit the Tool discography , you need to react to Jambi . It's a more straight forward Rock song that demonstrates that side of their sound as well .

Some refer to it as the holy Trinity cause you need to listen to all 3 at once. Reflection, Disposition and Triad it's one of my favorites and I'd love to see you react to them.

I'm going to check out the other Tool you've heard already and then maybe make some recommendations. what Maynard says about being willing to be vulnerable... to be willing to go on the ride, to swing on the spiral. If you're willing, then there will be many with you on the way.

Should check out PUSCIFER, it's one of the other bands Maynard is in! The Remedy and Humbling River is a great place to start.

This is my favorite too, try the studio version.
you seemed to appreciate the vocals in that so something else from that same live album might suit you like "you lied" or "third eye" .... also a live version of "mama sed" by puscifer with the same singer might be enjoyable to you.

I can't indulge in the darkness that this and most other modern rock music dwells in. That's not to say melancholy or even dread within songs isn't important or doesn't have a place in the musical portrait. But to construct entire shows and careers from it seems too much. For me, it is not entertaining. A dash of sadness and a sprinkle of rain here and there, but otherwise give me exuberant, upbeat music any day! Keep smiling and carry on!

I hear you, everyone has different tastes in music. I just love how unique Tool is and how their songs take you to so many different places. They are crazy talented!
@@kailamay2278 They certainly are talented. I remember buying an album of their's in the '90s, grooving along with a tune, until I checked the lyrics and found out it was about prison sex. I decided it wasn't entertaining for me at that point! Then again, one of my favorites is "When the levee breaks", by Led Zeppelin. Literally about a tragic flood, so. ... LoL!
meh - I just don't get it, people saying Tool is best band of all time, sorry fans, they obviously have talent, I've listened to several of their songs, but I just don't see it - guess there's no accounting for taste.
I guess they're not for everyone but there is definitely no denying the talent.
