I was close to tears watching Grandpa Marsh telling Stan he’s lost his memory. And then I just hear “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” 😂 that on its own made me laugh.

Gold in general are pretty bad "investment material" in post industrial economy(so does the most of the other "precious metals"), despite very many people still beleives it is not. Like, sure, maybe its price is even less volatile than US dollar, but the costs of the storing, appropriation upon selling(if you selling to a different bank), is just too much, and you won't have much interest out of it for keeping it in bank over time.

My guess is they use their mom’s credit cards for many of these adventures. Stan says he memorized his mom’s card number for the Starvin Marvin episode and in the Scoots episode the boys contemplate using either Stan or Cartman’s mom’s card to use the electronic scooters. Cartman: Shoud we use your mom’s or my mom’s? Stan: Uhh let’s use your mom’s. 😂The fact that they only seem to use Sharon or Liane’s cards is telling to their characters. They’re more lenient with their boys. Meanwhile Sheila would notice if Kyle was using her card lol.

This episode made me realize that whenever I see a commercial involving jewelry like this, I just turn off the TV and walk away. Crazy that it’s still occurring today.
The gold for cash music that plays during a montage was supposed to just be a place holder and an example of how Matt and Trey wanted the music to sound. Then they realized it was much funnier to just keep them making noises for the music

What I love about Dash’s videos is he adds loads of context to the scenes, like he explains references to us through his overlay, despite me watching every episode a hundred times I still am learning new references and understanding the eps more after watching his vids. The thing is that all of the precious stones and elements and minerals we believe are valuable, actually have no intrinsic value. It is only worth how much someone is willing to pay for it. The same can be said for most currency nowadays. Built off a value of debt and no real amount of gold, silver or whatever to back it up when it crashes.
