I can't find a replacement battery like this after mine failed. Can I use one from the RG350? (the difference is only in the smaller Wh that this one has, which is 12.21 versus 12.95 for the other. Both have 3.7v and the same fit and size)

I see it thank you for making me feel more comfortable about my h not exploding on me 😅

Is it possible to replace it with a larger battery?

Even if it was, people need to take a look at how hot the H700 chipset gets... It... doesnt lol. You are more likely to damage your battery and device by overcharging it than you will ever by any inherent heat produced from operation. I have no idea why that guy made that video; its unbelievably incorrect and guess what... many devices DO use the battery as a thermal sink. Its ... got a lot of mass and can take a lot more heat than the rest of the devices in there. For example, Iphones would use batteries as a heatsink in previous designs lol. For thermal degradation to occur, lithium ion batteries need to see a consistent temperature well above 80C to start degrading. Nominal operation temperature of these types of batteries is -20C to 64C. That H700 cant even put out 50C lol. Its wildly irrelevant to the operation of the chip AND the "safety" of the battery.

And yes, even if you put in batocera/knulli and "overclock it"; its still never getting to these temperatures that even start issues.

I post videos all the time. Apparently I've got 656 public videos currently on this channel. Granted, the overwhelming majority are Let's Plays or Twitch stream archives. I stream twice a week typically, so videos get added regularly (currently, anyway). If you mean things related to hardware and whatnot, there's a few here and there, but I don't generally have the money to buy and review hardware.

To connect them? No thank you. I tore this thing apart to make sure the battery WASN'T heatsinking the SoC. Overheating the battery greatly decreases its lifespan. I don't love that it is using the LCD instead, but, not much to be done. I did this because some people were saying it used the battery. I wanted to prove what seemed to be true from feeling it during use, and it was indeed true (LCD).
If you mean just something to add some heatsinking properties that isn't touching the battery, there isn't room. The spacing between the SoC and the battery is probably less than a millimeter. Maybe if you could grind down a flat piece of copper to the thickness of a sheet of paper, you could lead it to an actual heatsink you'd put in one of the empty areas (like by the volume buttons). That could be doable. Or maybe copper tape? Hmm. Maybe. Or someone with experience could design a 3D printed a spacer to make the case a few millimeters thicker, and you could put a low profile heatsink directly on the SoC. That would be the ideal solution.

@@KyoshoLP You're kind of overthinking this lol. The H700 chipset just cant put out enough juice for this to ever be a concern. Theres a reason those higher power devices have fans and active cooling solutions -> they need them. There is no performance to be gained by cooling this chip any further.
