(feel free to delete this comment after reading, if you wish) As a beautiful Christian woman, I hope you reconsider competing with cosmetics. Pride is not good for your health or soul, and so many girls today think vanity is a virtue. If you consider the mind and spirit of Jesus, I think you would have to admit that he would not approve of such things. Enhancing your natural form and optimizing/refining it is one thing. Okay. Buy replacing what God gave you with a cosmetic facsimile, all for the sake of vanity... is not healthy or godly. If you are honest with yourself, I think you would admit he would want you to be confident and happy in your natural form. You work hard to be a role model online, so consider how this works in the opposite of that. Magic Marker eye brows and fake nails are not a good role model for younger ladies who might watch you. Consider this. You are too pretty naturally for such cheap superficiality and deception.
It must be hard dealing with a worldly entity like CZcams while being not of this world. Don't compromise. Even if they shut this door on you one day He☝️will open another

There's plenty of religious movies and songs available, so why should we watch non religious things? The Bible is awesome, so why do we read anything else? I could go on and on about all the wrong things Christians participate in and make-up is the least of the issues to focus on. I love how beautiful she looks and if I were younger enough to date her, I would above any woman on this planet. She's perfect in every way and the sweetest person on this platform. So, please, delete your comment before you discourage her from caring to look her up most. Think about all the terrible looking people these days. Shouldn't looking your worst be more concerning than looking your best? Me thinks you need more grace and much less legalism.
My favorite quote is from Vizzini, when Fezzik tells him he doesn't feel right about killing a girl. In the movie Vizzini curses him out; in the book he says "God does it all the time- it doesn't bother Him, don't let it bother you."
This is a special movie for me. Andre was a good friend of mine. He was so proud of this movie. He said people would never forget him. Sadly he passed away in 1993. The plot and the characters fit perfectly and I like to show this to my grandchildren. They love it just as much as I do.
And from interviews with the cast, they LOVED him as much as he loved them. :)

Vezzini, the "Inconceivable Guy" dies because he:
1. Brought it on himself.
2. Is a bully who has no honor.
3. Would never have let Westley get away with it.
4. It's inconceivable that he should survive.

The original sword fight was too short. They went back and watched a BUNCH of Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone sword fights. Rathbone was in the British military and a master fencer. The Adventures of Robinhood with both of them may be the most epic sword fight in cinema.
And the choreography??? It's amazing. I love to see the actors actually doing it.

In the fan/celebrity remake, this last scene was reenacted by Rob Reiner (the director) and Carl Reiner (his legendary father).
This was also Carl Reiner's final onscreen appearance, and I couldn't think of anything more perfect.
Mandy Patinkin, (the spaniard) had just lost his father to cancer, so he said that during the final fight, he imagined that he was fighting the cancer that took his father and that's why the emotions of the final lines are so real.
Wow, that makes the scene all the more meaningful 🥹

Cary Elwes, who plays Wesley, not only wrote a wonderful book about the making of the movie, but several times a year has screenings of the movie with Q&A afterward. It's called "An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes", and I saw it in DC last year. He'll be in Baltimore and LA soon. Fantastic.
It ends up being a love letter to Andre the Giant. He was loved.
Everybody mentions how Prince Humperdink reminds them of Farquad... It's true. The image of the character Farquad in Shrek was based on Prince Humperdink. That's how influential this movie was.

If only that were true. All successful movies get re-made, and re-made again, and re-made again. It’s especially true today, in a time when Hollywood has almost completely lost all originality and can only spit out remakes and sequels. There are films I loved as a child that have already been remade 3 or 4 times. They’re already remaking the Harry Potter series.
Well, there is the recreation of it done during quarantine, but that’s more of a heartfelt tribute, and a lot of laughs, as it should be.

I like how Indigo hands is sword over to Westley to show him his father's workmanship even though they're about to fight each other. Deep down, these two can sense that they're meant to be friends.
Inigo, not Indigo. Yeah a little pedantic, but I have a good friend who named his son Indigo and I always call him Inigo... so the difference is important to me!
I liked how the first time he diaarmed Inigo, Wesley waved him on like "Go on, get it."
It’s even in the script that they are both flynning, enjoying the game
The entire cast has nothing but glowing praise for Andre. He was actually having major health problems at the time of filming and he could barely lift the woman that played Buttercup. She says he refused to even try without a harness to catch her in case he dropped her. She also says that once the crew went horseback riding when they had some time off and they got caught in freezing rain on the way back. She says Andre saw her shivering and placed his enormous hand on her head like a hat. She said that apart from it keeping the rain off and warming her up surprisingly well, for some reason the action made her feel safe and protected. She says he was always sweet and kind.

Inigo couldn’t find Johnny Cash, though, so Westley had to suffice.
I'm sure others pointed this out, but the book "The Princess Bride" was told in a similar way to how the movie was--it's a novel in which the narrator has found and is abridging a copy of a book his grandfather read to him, so there are lots of flashbacks. One of my favorite details of the book is that the grandfather skipped 200 pages in the middle, and just said, "what with one thing and another, five years passed." When the narrator discovers a copy of the book, he realizes the 200 missing pages are extremely detailed and dull descriptions of the wedding preparations, so in the end, he decides to abridge it just as it was read to him: "What with one thing and another, five years passed." The book is great fun and has lots more in it--but the movie is pretty faithful to the tone and plot of the book. The book was written by William Goldman.
It is my understanding that if you wrote to William Goldman back in the day he would send you a copy of those 200 pages.
@@bobjohnston1239There was an address, but it wasn't real. Later printing changed it to a website. There is another part of the book "missing" detailing Buttercup and Westley's reunion, which is skipped over in the movie by the grandson complaining about the kissing, so it skips to the Fire Swamp
The end "As you wish" hits me in the feels every time.
Vezzini had a dagger to Buttercup's throat and was the only one of the kidnappers to actually hurt her. That's why he was the only one of the three to die, at least in my head canon.
There's a remake of the movie that some actors did during quarantine, each playing for a couple minutes begore someone else swaps in. It's campy and has low production value but adorable and heartwarming, maybe worth a watch as well.
There’s actually an easier explanation. Vizinni is the only one to behave dishonorably in combat. Both Inigo and Fezzik wanted a fair and sportsmanlike fight, and there wasn’t really any malice behind their actions. Vizinni, on the other hand, truly wanted to kill Buttercup, and he cheated at the Battle of Wits. 😂
Reading the book just takes the trippiness down another level, because the book is about a book with the story inside that book. Basically, it breaks the 4th, 5th and 6th walls.
This is one of the most re-watchable movies ever made. It would be a great "yearly tradition" movie.
I’ve never thought of this movie as a scary movie but watching you jump three times throughout the movie was very entertaining. Thanks for that.
After my dad saw this movie, when mom would ask for something he's say "As you wish", so that line at the end of the movie gets me every time.

Actually, the "story in a story" is kinda in the book as well. The author wrote it *as if* he was recording the story as his Grandfather told it, reading a far older book, and cutting a lot out leaving the "good bits" version to tell his children/grandchildren. It has footnotes and such, decribing things cut or changed by his Grandfather.
Yep, Vizzini died. In the book, it has him quite happy and impressed with his own brilliance right up until he dies.

Truly a masterpiece. Story, casting, direction, this film has it all. Quite possibly the last masterpiece to come from Hollywood. Mandy Patinkin as Inago Montoya is a wonderful piece of work. Toss in the Mark Knopfler soundtrack and it has it all.
This movie is such a classic... Peter Falk as the Grandfather is just amazing... and his final line always gets you.
I've seen this movie dozens of times. I just now caught that the pirate's ship is called the "Revenge" - just another perfect bow tied for Inigo. 💚
It took me a while to catch that detail, too. I guess Inigo will still be in the _Revenge_ business, after all. 😄

The Grandson was the lead from the TV show "Wonder Years"......
Fesik is played by Professional Wrestler Andre the Giant...... Who Past Away to Young.....
The Cliff-Top Duel was practiced by Wesley & Indigo, through-out the filming and one of the last things filmed..... And is considered one of the best filmed duels in movie history, and all but the gymnastic flips is the actual actors.....
When 6-Fingered Man hit Wesley on the Head, it was a real hit and put the actor for Wesley in the hospital....
The Director had to leave the set when Filming the Miracle Max scenes cause the Actor Billy Crystal kept making him laugh....
If you notice, when Indigo delivers the line "I want my Father Back...." the actor drops the spanish accent, one reason is he was channeling how he felt about loosing his Father to Cancer.....
The scene where Buttercup challenges Roberts and pushes him down the slope was filmed the day after Carey Elwes crashed an ATV kept on set for Andre. His ankle had been injured, leading to his careful approach to sitting then standing from the log.
Also, when the pair tumbles down the slope, the same stuntman did the tumble twice, once in each actor's wardrobe.
You didn't mention Robin Wright (Forrest Gump, House of Cards, Wonder Woman) as Buttercup. The whole cast is great: the amazing Carol Kane (Taxi, Scrooged, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Mrs Miracle Max, and the incredible Wallace Shawn (Clueless, My Dinner with Andre) as Vizzini. People might recognize Wesley, played by Cary Elwes, from Robin Hood Men in Tights or The Saw movies. And Rob Reiner (Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, Defending my Life, Misery) has directed a several really good films.
This is such a great film. In high school, we did a stage production of it. My friend played Fred Savage's role, since he was so young looking, and another friend played Andre the Giant's role, since he was the tallest student in theater class.
I think you're the first reactor I've seen who recognized Peter Falk as Columbo! This is such a great, hoghly quotable and meme-able film!
Props for you that you recognize Colombo :) . You are the first reactor I saw who recognize him, This movie is for everyone boys and girls it is such a great movie. This movie is based on a book. The writer of the book also wrote the script of the movie . The scene with Westley and the six finger man when the six finger man hit him in the head was real and the actor who plays Wesley had to go to the hospital. there was real spark between the main actors in real life Westley and Buttercup that's why it works. Andre the giant used his big hands to protect Robin Wright (Buttercup ) head when she was cold on the set. You should also see Wilow, Lady Hawk, The Never Ending Story and The Labyrinth 1986. This is one of the movies with an epic soundtrack like Conan The Barbarian or Highlander which you should also see. one of my favorite quotes from this movie "“We are men of action, lies do not become us.”"

Fessick and Inigo's friendship was one of my favourite parts of the film
Good men forced to do a job theu hate with a person they can't stand, but feel that they owe.
I love how when Vincini ridicules and mocks Fessick, Inigo went and cheered him uo with the rhyming game
When Inigo is all alone and at rock bottom in the thieves forrest, Fessick comes to his rescue and he has no problem helping Inigo storming the castlemto avenge his father...
These are traits that make the characters interesting, but also gives their relationship so much better.
A gem of the 80s and a childhood favourite.
Don't forget Peter Cook ("Mawwage..."), who was so hilarious doing British comedy skits with Dudley Moore.
This movie has a very sharp wit, but it's also very warm and cuddly.
I watched this movie at the theater with my 8 year old son when it came out.
It has been a great bonding experience for both of us for all these years.

I recently read that during filming, Wallace Shawn found out that Danny DeVito was considered for the role of Vizzini before him. That made him nervous, and through every scene he kept thinking, "How would Danny do this?"
Personally, I think that anyone other than Shawn playing that role is... inconceivable!
Cary Elwes narrates his audiobook “As You Wish” (also in regular book form, but audio is the way to go here). It’s his experiences making the film and SO GOOD for any fan of the movie. 🥰🥰🥰

This is one of the earliest movies I ever remember seeing back around 1988. The movie is one of my all-time favorites, but the book is also great and uses the same kind of storytelling of a story in a story.

Not enough talk about Fezzik and Inigo’s relationship. Two men very much caring about each other and relating to each other in the screen at that time was kind of rare.
This is a book, but it was written by the same guy who wrote the screen play. He asked his two daughters what he should write about and one said, "A princess," while the other said, "A bride." Thats where the name came from. As for Prince Humperdink reminding you so much of Lord Farquad, that was intentional. Farquad's wardrobe was heavily inspired by Humperdink's.
As a matter of fact, that _is_ Columbo.

If you buy the book (and you should), get the special edition that includes a portion of the "sequel", Buttercup's Baby. The sequel was never published, and was possibly never going to be written.

The Grandpa reading the book to his grandson is not an adaptation. That is actually how the book it written.
Also, at the end Inigo says "I've been in the revenge business so long..." Remember that the name of the ship for the Dread Pirate Roberts is "The Revenge".
So, Inigo goes from being in the revenge business to being in The Revenge business.

That sword fight between Inigo and the Man in Black was one of the greatest sword fights ever filmed. Even more impressive when you consider that the actors had to learn to fight both right and left handed.
Yes, that was "Columbo", Peter Falk as the grandpa. Miracle Max and his wife were played by Billy Crystal and the wonderful Carol Kane.
It's been written that Andre the Giant really enjoyed his time on the set. Because of his size, he suffered from constant health problems, and self-esteem issues. He felt he had to always be the life of the party, and buy drinks for everyone at the bar for people to like him. But on the set of this movie, he felt that everyone respected him and treated him just like any other actor. He became friends with the rest of the cast.
Another great comedy with Peter Falk is Neil Simon's Murder by Death (1976)
For more amazing swordplay, check out the AMC tv series from a few years ago, Into the Badlands.

This is my favorite movie, has everything in it. Has an amazing story and perfect cast, which is Inconceivable. lol Also Inigo's revenge is one of the best revenges every. Lol he hired an amazing crew, a giant and a master swordsman.

When it comes to the book, there are actually 2 books. The original one which is actually what the Grandpa in the movie is reading, then there is a book called The Princess Bride that came out after this movie that is the story of a Grandfather reading to his Grandson the original story, basically the movie you just saw put to book form.

Yes that was Columbo, Peter Falk. And no he is not Wesley, he was saying I love you, how his family did after they all heard this book. This book was written by the screenwriter, for his little daughters. Asterix and Obelix in those french set comics, look a lot like inigo and fezik. Obelix was always, knocking out the romans too hard, they were always sent flying. Great stories for young guys, with a touch of history in them.

A perfect movie. The book is an absolute trip.... The book is based on itself, its a head trip inception thing where you are reading a story, about the story
