The gray blue livery was when UA was riding high and providing a great product in the 90s. It's classic. The white-blue-no-gray-because-gray-is-old livery that came after was really sharp too but that livery also epitomizes the Ted, pre-merger, government bailout, "fuck it the flight will go whenever it goes", post-911, 2009 recession United lol
Did you notice that the UAL Boeing 747"-400" has PW JTD9 Engine from 0:26 to 0:44 ? They are common on the 747-100/-200/-300/SP classic, not on the 747-400. United used to have 747-100/-200 and SP, equipped with PW JTD9 (shorter and thinner), but they are retired. They have 747-400 with PW 4060 engines (thicker and longer). I only noticed this by watching this video twice.
This video is outdated now with Global Entry and Automated Passport Control no forms are required unless you are a visitor visting the US for the first time or came here prior to 2008.
I loved this creative livery.

Not really, if you consider 911 and the financial crisis.@@gotacallfromvishal

So Nostalgic!
United theme song rhapsody in blue never fails t give me goose bumps
SFO is an airport I fly in and out of a lot when my family travels. It’s crazy to see how it looked before I was born. This is a cool video
Do you have the arrival video for the old SFO International Terminal before the current opened in 2000? I remember seeing that video.
I kid you not the immigration area in this video looks exactly the same as it does today in real life
Yes,
Yes it does
It really does look the same. I remember going from Guadalajara, Mexico to San Francisco airport and the immigration looks the same from this video.
Lots of airports in the U.S. have terminals dating back to pre-9/11 so that isn't too surprising.
Brings back memories. What happens if you cannot write in English on the Customs form?
a boeing 747 in space???!!!
Sad to see SAS leaving :(
Lufthansa had a similar video sometime in 2012
An era before AirTrain and BART. In this time, what kind of public transit was available to the city?
Circa 2000
Muni buses, Samtrans buses, and taxis
@@UncircuitedThe video was discontinued in late 2002, shortly before the opening of the BART station.
Gotta love the Vaporwave.
