I’m a middle aged, middle class, man with a 15 yr old daughter at exactly the wrong time to be a teenage girl, I’m tired, angry and frustrated by the madness out there, I fully support the LGB team. Much respect for Kathleen. I was nervous about what this video might be but now having read the comments below I look forward to watching it.

The entire social constructivist notion, "gender is a social construct," was concocted entirely by feminists in order to be completely contrary to the "male" view of biological science as a "way of knowing".
Queer Theory is feminism. It's feminists doing feminism to women.
More women than men endorse TWAW/TMAM. More women than men say that TW should have access to women's spaces.
This is a war of feminism - not men - on women. Feminism created this problem. Some predators just took advantage of the door feminism opened. But that's entirely on feminism for creating that problem. The "TE" in the epithet "TERF" announces plainly that feminism inherently includes Queer Theory/gender ideology. It's the ones who reject it who are the heretics. You don't get to lay this out on the eternal imaginary dragon of "misogyny" when feminists created and are the primary perpetrators of this ideology.
Kathleen, you're not "evil" - even if gender woo woo folk may tend to that view. You are hugely valued, hugely respected - by both gay men and lesbian women. We very much appreciate that you have such integrity that you stood up and spoke out. Sincerely, thank you so much. May many more follow your good example.

I live in Canada. The country has gone mad. Between covid restrictions and trans mania, I'm ready to emigrate. All these women are fabulous.
Me also. Why don't we have any great leaders like this who we can look up to and support. When is tranada going start waking up? The subject is not in the news. I have no idea what's being taught in schools. I definitely feel restricted in what I can. The only people I can speak to about at work are two straight male co workers who absolutely get it.
it's just as bad here in new zealand. no one even knows or cares about this issue. the battle for women's and children's rights and for reality was lost here without ever having been fought.
I feel bad for you. It's bad here in the U.S., but it sounds like Canada, Scotland, and New Zealand have really gone off the deep end with the State enforcing trans demands ideology!

Like Ninjas, the auto gyne philic men behind the T movement operated in stealth, getting into positions of power in big tech, media, academia, schools, governments, non-profits that were FOUNDED to defend free speech & LGB people (ACLU, Amnesty International, Stonewall, etc.) & even some churches & Christian denominations. Things changed so quickly that no one knew what was happening until SO many people had been harmed in SO many ways or brainwashed by the propaganda, and the safeguarding of children & free speech were both being attacked as "hateful," & "bigoted," & so many hard-won rights, resources, & opportunities built by women & LGB people over the last 50-100 years had been stolen, appropriated, or reversed. They are even transing historical figures like Joan of Arc. It's insane how much power this small group of MEN have and how ideas about gender that started with lonely teenage girls on Tumblr wanting to feel special has become adopted by people & institutions as mainstream & how many people are just bobbleheaded advocates for giving the men & these young people EVERYTHING they demand.
So where are you going to go?? Why not stand and fight?

So glad to hear the LGB community is waking up and speaking out. Thank you. Here in Washington State if a man presents at a women's domestic violence shelter and says he's a woman, staff cannot challenge his gender identity, he can come in where women have sought refuge from abuse, rape, etc. Same with mental health respite beds for women where there are only bays with no walls or dividers between beds and, as one might image, limited staff supervision, shared bathrooms, etc.
I agree with Julie Bindel that this is being driven by misogyny and max sex rights. The tragedy for women is not only this reality but that there are so many women who are on board with this awful reality.
I don't think they are, it's just they don't know what it ACTUALLY entails, nor the relationship with pornography. Just discussed this with two friends who are pretty plugged in, but they had no idea.

You are not going to get away with blaming men for the sins of feminism. The entire basis for the epithet "TERF" is that gender ideology is intrinsic to feminism; it's the heretics who reject it.
This is on feminism. 100%. The thing you're desperately trying to avoid mentioning is that men transitioning are seeking access to female privilege. That's also why the battleground is over "woman" and not so much over "man." People only fight over the valuable commodity. You don't get to whine about "woman" being the battleground and then pretend that's not where the social capital is. That would make you a pathological liar. We know why it's happening there. Even if you won't admit it.

I actually didn't know Shereen Benjamin. Of course, Helen Joyce is such a powerhouse in opposing trans ideology & the hold it has on our society. Seeing her felt like seeing a friend! But then when she said Kathleen Stock, I thought, "OMG, Kathleen AND Helen!" And then she said, "Julie Bindel," and I thought, "OMG, what a powerful group of women!" I stopped the vid just to say that! Now I'll actually watch it!
GREAT panel of women. Hetrosexual woman here finding the most SANE MINDS in this LGB talk. Ladies, we need, respect, and love you all. Kathleen Stock, you are a women's champion. Never forget that your value is huge to women's and children's rights and safety, and it's your universities' GREAT loss to have lost you and WOMEN'S GAIN.

Its more than trans ideology... its authoritian rule / totalaritian rule coming into western countries. To do that successfully governments 1st need to break down civilization as we know it. All part of their AGENDA.
I am so isolated here in the U.S. We are such a big country geographically and IDK anyone near me who is concerned enough about this to do anything about it. I hardly talk to ANYONE about things that interest me, except my current and previous counselors, and a Stephen Ministry friend who ghosted me, possibly because of the videos I showed her about trans activism today & it's negative impacts on women, children, LGB people, and free speech. I even showed her trans people who were speaking out against today's abuses in the "TQ+" cult. So maybe she didn't want to be around me because I shared so many vids & talked with her about it. I would LOVE to be able to go to a conference like this and meet SO MANY people with the same concerns I have. Maybe I can make it there next year. That's why seeing familiar people on YT, like Helen, Kara Dansky, Abigail Shrier, and Graham, Helen, & Arty on, "The Mess We're In," feels like a lifeline to me.

Excellent discussion. We need to think about transferring the template for pushback to trans ideology and queer theory to other political decisions for wars, regime change, nuclear weapons, other disinformation campaigns, critique of political parties who plainly have some screws loose in the thinking department (Republicans in US for example), critique of social media in general, elite enforced austerit, for everyone except themselves, real tax reform, reform of voting so that we have uniform paper ballots, voted in public, secured in public, counted in public, dangerous food production decisions, mistreatment of animals, broad rights of citizens (young and old, all of us) to decent education, jobs, homes, medical care, refusal of elites to plan properly for climate change and pandemics. It's not only this issue that is disastrous. We need reform. Reform that works. Reform that has the welfare of human beings no matter their class and of all species of earth and the environment at its heart.

No various groups are not on our side - so what - you fight on the stuff you agree with, and fight them on the stuff you don't.
A bisexual person is FULLY within their rights to exclusively pursue sexual/romantic endeavors with people who a) are comfortable in their biological sex and b) have no desire to adjust their hormones or mutilate their genitals and they are under no obligation to justify their preference to others. I presume you agree with this statement, but this statement simply demonstrates your point that an LBG alliance that does not subject itself to "trans advocacy" is not only justified, but preferable.

I’d like to see a focus on what happens to trans”men” with GRCs when they are imprisoned. There are so many young women going this route there must be some who have committed crimes? Are they put in men’s prisons? Or is it recognized how vulnerable they would be and they are housed separately?

That's Julie Bindle's "nickname" for the new woke people obsessed with the trans ideology among other woke things. Refers to young people dyeing their hair blue to stand out as "different" and to look more edgy ;) I got this listening her other debates and interviews, she calls them blue fringes all the time :)
And I would add that journalists are ignoring the truths of what has always been wrong about our systems of government around the world as well as in their home countries niot just this issue. Powerful men and their money determine what can be said and done while shaping what we can know and believe. There are always fellow travelers in these efforts. We cannot break through these systems of power unless we come to understand how they function and who really profits from them and in sufficient numbers to stand against the worst of what is going on and have some chance of success in changing hearts and minds to a more realistic and more humane way of acting in the world.
Hmmm 3000 kids went to gender clinics but almost 30000 kids were taken into foster care. Which one do you think is being covered constantly? Which one creates the most dysfunctional adults? Which one is more likely to end up in prison? Which one doesn't have a choice?
Both are worthy of attention, so go do your thing and good luck.

Whenever a feminist claims that this is all underlain by 'misogyny,' they're either deliberately lying or morbidly ignorant. Queer Theory is a direct descendant of Feminist Theory. There is a hard, solid line from feminist "patriarchy" theory to Queer Theory. "Cis" just replaces "man" and "trans" just replaces "woman". "Cisheteronormativity" = "patriarchy". Queer Theory _is_ feminism.

And no, you don't get to say they not "true" feminists. If the best you can do is a No True Scotsman fallacy, considering they call you "not a true feminists" (i.e. TERFs), you don't get the ideological high ground here. And all you'd be doing is _confirming_ that this is a war between theological denominations of feminism, like Catholic vs Protestant. Not a war of men vs women. The entire tactic of "if you don't support our ideology then you want to murder all trans people" is a straight copy of "if you oppose feminist theory then you're a misogynist pig". GC feminists are now seeing exactly what feminism has done to men for decades: villainizing them for standing up for themselves, reframing statistics and evidence as a form of "hate", using "god of the gaps" logic to explain everything, lying about the demonstrable differences between men and women. Those are feminist tactics.

It's funny because the gender critical feminists don't realize they've refuted "the patriarchy" by recognizing sex differences; for years economists and scientists have been pointing out that things like the mythologial "pay gap" are due to sex-based differences in priorities, preferences, lifestyle choices, reproductive trajectories, and so forth. Feminists even got James Damore fired for stating this. And yet, now the feminists are relying on sex differences to oppose gender ideology that asserts the exact same blank slatism that feminism itself concocted.
Feminists created this mess. I have no sympathy for you. You reap the whirlwind you created. My sympathy is for the LGB kids, the GNC kids, the boys and girls who have fallen under the thrall of this cult, the girls being told they're evil for being white (e.g. Helena Kerschner) and that they can escape the biological menace of menstruation, the boys being told (by feminists) that they're evil patriachal oppressors by default and are so desperate to avoid this fate that they'd cut off their own testicles (see: Stephen A. Richards, Ritchie Herron), the kids and families who are struggling under its oppressive boot, being told they're evil for not celebrating this cult, for naming objective reality.
Nobody needs to embrace feminism - which is what begat this mess in the first place - in order to oppose gender ideology/Queer Theory. Indeed, it doesn't make any sense to embrace the same ideological corruption that produced the thing you're battling.
I embrace feminism. Women are different from men and have specific needs which we need to work to make sure are fully taken into consideration in every area of life. That’s it.
