    I had a large blood clot after have hip replacement surgery. My Doctor wanted to put me on Warfarin or Xeralto and I refused as they do not dissolve clots. The fatal side effects of these drugs just aren't worth the risk. I researched and found Nattokinase and started taking 2000FU per day. I had another doppler about 6 weeks after I started taking Nattokinase and there was absolutely no sign of a clot. my doctor said that a clot normally dissolves after 3 months, at SIX weeks it was gone and may have dissolved earlier I don't know. I have been taking it ever since in the hope it may prevent a stroke by dissolving clots as they form. I have been taking it for FIVE years now with no adverse side effects

    Bear in mind that the drug industry and many doctors are worried that Nattokinase may really be so effective and so cheap and there is will be no need for those very expensive drugs and hospitalization. Remember that doctors are not taught nutrition as a preventive medicine and you have to ask why?.

Glad I came upon your entry; adds more credence to what I've already came across. Do have high bp and refuse to take pharmaceuticals. Am also taking an herb happily named Blood Pressure Support (taking that for over 8 months now). Only dropped the high side of my BP around 10 points (and trust me, I need to have a lot more dropped). lol
      Have to admit, even with that, I've been feeling much better. Hopefully, in conjunction with serra-natto combo, I'll be well on my way to a healthier BP. :)

    I had a major heart attack six years ago. And as a result I suffer for some level of heart failure. My ejection fraction dropped from 45 to 30/35 over the last two years. My BNP once I dropped salt (my sodium intake is under 500 mg per day) went from 700 down to 245/375 but never lower. Out of desperation I started taking Natokinase. My dosage is 100 mg (2,000 FU) three times a day. I have no idea what I expected. After three months of use my BNP fell to 48. My doctor thought this must be a lab error and had the test repeated. The result of the 2nd BNP was 52. I then had an echo done and my ejection fraction jumped to 55. Since my heart attack my highest ejection fraction was 45. My doctor found all this hard to believe. Frankly, I can't explain it. The only thing I did differently was to take the Natokinase. I'll continue using this stuff and see if I can get off my b/p meds.

      I suffered 20% heart damage from a heart attack in 2009. After being put on statins I was advised by a friend (Pharmacist) to immdediately start on CoQ10 ( CoEnzyme Q10) as statins leach it from the body and it's an importent Enzyme which assists the body to repair muscle, and the heart IS A MUSCLE. My friend also advised me that the heart CAN in fact repair itself, but very slowly ( 2% per year). I stopped the statins after 6 months as it gave me serious side effects, but continued with the CoQ10, each annual checkup I had showed the heart damage until 2018 when tests didn't show damage. I have continued with it on a daily basis, and feel great.

    Thanks for the skeptical review instead of a blatant sales pitch. I started taking 1/16th tsp per day in my morning coffee drink (which, according to some, would negate its effects) for the usual anti-clotting and bone health benefits. No test results to verify any changes on those fronts yet. However, what I DID notice is that minor cuts that would have taken 10-20 minutes of firm pressure and probable bandaging (over the past 50 years) now take 1-2 SECONDS of mild pressure to stop bleeding. Shocking! Don't know how to reconcile that with clot busting. The only other effect I've noticed is that my daily hair loss is down over 80% from previously. Weird!

    • @suzanne7569
      @suzanne7569 Před rokem +5

      I'm updating my experience. After several weeks of taking this, I became progressively weaker. To the point it would take me several minutes, with extreme difficulty, to get up from a short stool, starting by getting on the floor on all fours. For some reason, I suspected this and quit taking it immediately. Within a day or so, I started regaining my strength. Could it all be a coincidence? Sure, but who knows? I did notice when I got a cut on my finger a few weeks later, it bled normally, as in the past. No more thick blood, which probably caused the weakness. Your results may vary, of course. Still a mystery to me.

    These studies you cite are using a rather low dose of nattokinase. I’ve heard of studies using 20K nattokinase, and then also taking serrapeptase with it, with very positive benefits, and no side effects. I’m concerned that the medical system will regard this low dosage, one supplement approach as sufficient research, and consider the case closed. I have been taking a high quality lumbrokinase supplement daily for 3 years, and it’s definitely, though slowly, removed a lot of scar tissue that was creating chronic pain issues, so its definitely dissolving fibrin. I actually started taking lumbrokinase to deal with chronic bladder infections to stop biofilms from protecting invasive bacteria. I didn’t realize at the time I would experience other benefits as well.

In 2003, I started with nattokinase, added K2, when both hips began to hurt, then switched to natto 50 grams daily as I added to my knowledge. One of my last problems to get better when I started fasting, loosing weight then keto was my BP. I’ve known I’ve had thick blood for many years. Every time I would prick my finger for a BG test, a perfect spherical blood drop would form. And I would clot easily. But after starting K2, my BP finally came down to normal range. And when I prick my finger no more spherical drop, it is diffused puddle. (Happy Days) I noticed the veins in the whites of my eyes became more pronounced. My Cold sensitivity in my teeth went away. Also my performance between the sheets greatly improved.
    Many other improvements too because I was (am) very unhealthy.

    • @CardioGauge
      @CardioGauge  Před 4 lety +3

      Thanks for your questions Scott. My point is that nattokinase is not well proven to decrease atherosclerosis. The only study that shows that is the one i Mentioned in the video. They report a decrease in plaque size of 36%. I don't know what they are referring to when they state plaque size. I know what percent narrowing is, and what plaque volume is, but I don't know what plaque size is. Eating a whole food plant-based diet can decrease plaque volume by 4% over two years. It seems unlikely that taking nattokinase will decrease plaque volume by 36% over 1/2 a year, when eating a whole food plant-based diet decreases plaque volume 4% over 2 years. So my comment that the study seems too good to be true does not relate to a comparison to statin studies, but rather when I compare the results of the nattokinase study to those of studies of the whole food plant-based diet. Eating healthy and Exercising are more important than medications and supplements, in general, as it relates to heart health. For people at high risk of having a heart attack or stroke, statins can play a role in prevention, But I agree with you that a healthy lifestyle trumps statins, typically.

They often incorporate other healthy lifestyle choice practices as well. This is called a healthy user bias. Most meat eaters, (but not all) especially men like i did, pursue other unhealthy lifestyle habits. As far as your plant based theory goes, you must remember that up till the early 1900's most western type nations ate meats, eggs and dairy depending on affordability and the fats came from animals which were highly saturated (due to natural feeds) Heart diseases, cancers, diabetes and various autoimmune disease very low. This first recorded blocked arteries was around 1910 in the US despite high saturated fat and sugar consumption. Around this time the early cheap cottonseed oils and the "heart healthy" artificial trans fat laden margarines that some people started consuming around WW1 due to poverty conditions. Then in the early 1940's pigs and chickens were fed a diet of soy, corn, grains, seeds etc to fatten them. Not only do these animals accumulate high linoleic acid in their fats, (including egg yolks) excess phosphates as well the grain's and soy's inhibitors but also the seed's toxic defence chemical creating inflammatory aldehydes that lower the immunity.

Is it the same thing as K2? I'm confused, because I know that the best source of K2 is found in Japanese natto, but these two supplements are sold as two discreetly different products. Additionally, I was reading a Nattokinase bottle today, and it said that the K2 was taken out of the formula. That REALLY confused me, being that the K2 is what removes plaque from where it does not belong (i.e., arteries) and plugs it into your bones, where it does belong. I would appreciate any clarification. Thank you.

Of course I can give pint of blood that will lower those levels but I lead an active lifestyle and giving a pint would subject me to my barcalounger for four weeks with TV remote in hand while I recovered. Taking NK daily has given me even better results than giving blood however. My hematocrit levels have been holding steady at around 42%. There's your human study.

      Albert, I am 57 in excellent health with no underlying medical issues and was on TRT for about 6 months and last week I stood up from my desk and had a stroke. My hemoglobin was 19.2 according to my test meter and when I was admitted into the hospital it was 16.4 with a 48% hematocrit. Thank God it was a stroke caused by hindered blood flow due to a tiny plaque in a small blood vessel that docs think had been there for years and because I panicked and heart rate increased to 140bpm it cleared the small emboli almost immediately because according to MRI and CTs there was no blockage but there was some damage. Anyways, they blamed the TRT thickening my blood and that thickened blood was hindered by the tiny plaque. It definitely makes sense. In any case I stopped taking the 120mg per week of testosterone for now and started nattokinase about 5 days ago. I was happy to hear it's keeping your blood flowing and sounds great going from 56% to 42%. Man, I surely hope this works for me because if it does I may consider starting TRT again. This happened on 4-1-22 and I am walking and typing this message and about 70-80% back to normal. I am very thankful because it could have been much worse. Should never have happened because I have zero risk factors, never smoked, drink, nor overweight. Cholesterol is perfect and no high blood pressure or diabetes. It was definitely a fluke accident and I bet the thick blood had a lot to do with it as the docs say.

I met with a team of neurologists and a cardiologist and lo and behold we found out why I had the stroke and it wasn't the TRT. As a matter of fact after further review of all my CT and MRI scans there wasn't even any plaques. As a matter of fact there was 0% plaque in every major blood vessel and small blood vessels throughout my brain and all the arteries from the heart, the carotids, vertebrals, etc.. The culprit was low blood flow as first suspected, BUT it was caused by me taking a daily 5mg Tadalafil which is a potent vasodilator that prevented vasoconstriction whenever I needed it most upon standing from behind my desk. I'm about 95% recovered and actually went today for a neuroscan to see how my brain is healing.
      I actually went back on the TRT 80mg per week with 900iu of HCG per week and my total T was almost 1500 and my free T was pushing 300. I couldn't believe such a low dose of T got it up that high. My hemoglobin was 17.2 and my hematocrit was 51.6 so not bad, but it did make me a little nervous even though the specialists said the testosterone had nothing to do with my stroke. They said to not worry about the hematocrit since most people living at high altitudes walk around with levels in the high 50s and even low 60s with no problem. Also found out that just because hematocrit is elevated in the plasma doesn't mean it's elevated in the brain. The body has a unique way of decreasing hematocrit in smaller blood vessels. It's called the Fåhræus-Lindqvist effect which I thought was pretty cool. BTW, I also had the bubble test while in the hospital and my results were negative for any defects. Thanks for your input...

      Another thing to consider is the high consumption of iodine from the seafood/seaweed ingested, averaging around 14mg per day- far in excess of the rda..

    How can you combat constipation when taking nattokinase? I felt like ever since i started taking nattokinase 2,000 FU's, I've experienced it and don't know what to do.

    Thank you doc..would you consider 157 over 80 to be very high BP.? And also how safe is it for my husband to take this product if he is on brillinta...? Would appreciate your advice and suggestions😊...Thank once again.♥️

      Hi again Rafilover! I can’t make direct recommendations about anything because this is CZcams. However, I will say that I do not recommend Nattokinase in combination with Brilinta, because nattokinase May have antithrombotic effect, as does Brilinta. Blood pressure of 157/80 is moderately elevated. The best way to understand blood pressure is to look at the average pressures over a couple weeks, rather than just looking at one measurement

      @@CardioGauge Good morning Doctor. I was told that Brilinta is NOT a vitamin K inhibitor, therefore should be safe to take in combination. I know for myself I've taking the two for about a month now. My BP has dropped from 160/80 to 115/70 ( however, in addition, I dropped my carb intake from an estimated 120grams+ to 24grams...consequently lost 45 lbs and counting).
