Looks great jake and sarah. glad we could be a part of it. Really appreciate the support.
Thanks for the opportunity Andrew!
Great teamwork Jake and Sarah! I can definitely see Sarah helping out a lot more in the woodyard and providing more family time. Very nice setup!!
Hopefully she’ll want to come out to the woodyard more often!
You’re doing a GREAT job with your channel Jake. The 22-28 is a great addition!
Thanks Dick! I really appreciate your support!
A pallet with the anti fatigue rubber mat works wonders for a little boost in height and comfortable feet for a day of splitting
Sure does!
Yep, Jake, a step stool is definitely warranted if you want to keep your good help productive. Yard looks great.
I have step stools strategically placed throughout the house… might need to find another at the dump 😂
Jake, you have another 🪵 hound in the 🪵yard you Chris can be the brute boys and Sara can run the splitter ❤😊
I sure do! We’ll see how often she comes around…
Great teamwork Jake and Sarah. That 22-28 looks lika a beast. Your new woodyard is looking great. That is a lot of firewood you have in totes. Take care 👍 Steve
Thanks Steve, it certainly produces wood fast!
Nice work Jake and Sarah. Great team work.
Thanks guys!
You have a first class operation and woodyard over there!
I like the fact your split wood goes straight into IBC totes, which significantly eliminates handling. If all deliveries use your totes, you will be light years ahead of your competition.
If you have to dump loose firewood for some customers, you can buy a "rotator" for your tractor to empty out the IBC tote into your dump trailer, to eliminate "that" extra touch of the wood.
I've been "pushing" the IBC tote method, but there is fierce resistance to buying them, and dropping them off at the customers place of business, or their residence. The customers love them. I noticed you deliver them with the roof on top. Very nice!
The following video at the 9 minute mark, demonstrates the "fork lift rotator device" for dumping out ibc totes into trailers for loose delivery dumping.
czcams.com/video/jZr5h4xzKJQ/video.html
Thank you, unfortunately most of the rotating fork assemblies I’ve seen are designed for skid steers and are pretty heavy. If I were to get one I’m not sure I’d still have enough lift capacity for the forks and the full totes.
Nice video Jake, it’s always a pleasure to see Sarah in the wood yard! I would have loved to see you put the moisture meter on that hickory as soon as you split it, I bet it will be ready to burn this fall. Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!
Yeah I had every intention of throwing the meter on it but totally forgot!
I have splitter envy now
lol come on down and give her a whirl
I love Hickory. My favorite firewood. Splitter setup is nice!
Thank you! Hickory is great stuff!
Looking forward to more videos like that splitter, fits perfect under your shelter you came long way
Yep it fits like a glove
That thing is a beast. Had me really thinking on getting one when I’m ready to upgrade. Great work both of you!
Tyler
It’s been a heck of an upgrade!
I so need one of those it really be the game changer in my wood business to keep up with the demand the 22-28 model is a beast Robert's fire wood
It’s one hell of a machine!
With a machine like that you will have less time splitting an more time to get other things done . Great job you 2
Yes, sarah is very happy about that! Thanks for watching
Love the idea of the double logs!
At the rate the 22-28 will split wood, you will need a steady stream of incoming empty IBC totes and logs to process. It also won't be long before the wood yard expansion fills up.
I certainly will. Between my three suppliers I am always getting more totes, I just hope it’s often enough!
I like that just got done watching the Easton video 28 d with the box wedges
I always said Eastonmade is a time saver, to spend more time with family, but it has always just lead to me splitting more wood😂😂😂
That might be the case here haha
Jake like the way the splitter works, dumping into the tote Have you tried putting 4 totes centered under the conveyor and filling 4 totes at once raising the conveyor up a little more.
I haven’t just because it would create so much of a mess, I have something in the works though…
Jake I just had said need to get her a step stoll. About same time😂😂 so funny.
Shes a keeper. Just gets home from work and goes right to work. 👍
She sure is
Sarah is a natural at wood splitting!
Awesome job guys. May GOD bless.
Wow what a machine! Great video 👍
I like Eastmon over the Brute, even without the auto-saw. With a roller system and a magnetic chainsaw firewood measuring thingy, you'd be quasi- fully automated.
Thanks for the video.
You guy’s smoked that Hickory !! Fast too! Great job 👍👏🪵🪓🇺🇸 Rick
Thanks Rick, things have definitely sped up
Wolfridge newest splitter has conveyor built to splitter, no moving 2 pieces of equipment
Congratulations to you and Sarah,
Thank you
The wifes right arm is going to be jacked from all the lever pushing! 😄
Awesome team 👍👍
Now that is a proper wood yard.
Thanks!
Splitting together is family time right?
Congratulations on reaching 10k. Your channel is doing great 👍
Thank you Richard
Nice Job Jake and Sarah!
Thanks Hannah!
It looks to me if you use Three logs on bottom you could put two or possibly three logs on top. Just saying it could be a time saver. I really enjoy watching your channel
Thank you for your videos
Thank you for watching!
It’s funny how short she looks next to you, but chris towers over you when it you both on camera. He must be a beast in real life. And good luck on the upcoming wedding
Haha sarah is a good 8” shorter than me, Chris is about 2-3” taller, he’s a big guy
Certainly is a marvelous machine indeed
There nothing better then a Easton made wood splitter.
I still think a four totes carousel under the conveyor would save you time and be easier. Just turn it when the totes is full to the next and so on. When all four are full just replace all of them with new ones. 👍
I’ll go take one from the local playground 😂
Lol.
Very nice.
Try using a Mini escalator with a thumb to hold the wood when you cut it. Also, put the logs right next to the lifter for the sweater. I love the Eastman sweaters. I'm from Connecticut and didn't know there was any in the sta
Sarah gets an A+!
so wonderful beautiful video friend i love it see Dude
Some quality splits in those totes mate👌
Thank you, it was looking nice
Jake it’s never a bad thing to have too much hickory or help!
Ain’t that the truth!
nice video, that is the setup i want!
Thank you!
I guess next step are safety boots and gloves
Jake is Chris still smilin like you are with that Orange and Blue machine!!! I bet so! Look into the forks that are built to dump totes for your rig... Swivel forks ??
Haha he’s a big fan of it… I’ve looked into rotating forks, two issues. Price and weight, they aren’t really designed for small tractors like mine. More for skid steers with much higher lift capacities, although I would LOVE to have a set!
Those leavings that you were burning look like they would fit in tiny wood stoves, or something like the Rocket Liberator type stoves,....might be a niche market for you to reach out to.
I save most of the kindling size stuff
Jake you need to build sarah a nice little platform 👍 levers hard to operate for the vertically challenged
Yep haha I need to get her a step stool
nice splitting john
Thanks John
Great video. Curious if you have any plans for a screen to Remove the trash that’s going in the tote.
Yes I’d like to develop a set of grizzly bars for it
Too me, the splitter seemed to be slower than others I've seen. Was it throttled up all the way?
As far as I know it was WOT
Great video!! Are the splits ok or do you maybe want the pizza wedge??? Great setup on the splitter!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
I would definitely like to try the pizza wedge as I think it would be perfect for bundle wood especially when I get nice straight boneless skinless ash!
i seen you using a spray marking for bucking ? can you send me information about that ?
also how do you feel about your 22-28 im getting my new splitter in feb
It’s called the Mingo Marker, here’s the link.
amzn.to/419RdzK
Love the 22-28 unlimited power while still very fast.
How does the amount of loose stacked wood in the IBC tote compare to a had stacked one? Certainly the amount of time savings with the conveyor is amazing.
I made a video on this, 1 conveyor filled heaped up 330 gallon tote when stacked equaled the size of a 275 gallon tote and that was with no manipulation of the pieces as it was being filled to maximize volume.
@@DudeRanchDIY thanks, I’ll go look for the video
#370
@@DudeRanchDIY thanks
If you can ? Could you get a moisture read on that hickory?
Checked the other day, it was mid 30’s
Higher than you thought? It was light?
@@mikeadams2339 it was light for hickory, not like poplar or anything. About where I would’ve guessed, usually just the ends of logs will dry when in log form. It should dry out pretty quick now that it’s split!
Hey Jake how are you doing first time I seen u used 500i its been a while I always saw Chris used it
Oh I still use it plenty, it’s just not always on video 😂
What size box wedge are you using?
This video I was using the standard 7 way box wedge, I also run the pizza box wedge
Yep you are 10,000. Sarah can now split some wood on her days off, Jake.
Haha that’ll be the day!
What is the brand and size or model of the tractor that you have?
Kubota L3901
Where do you get ibc totes?
Mulch suppliers
How many cords does the totes hold?
1/3 cord
Can it do bigger logs n who makes that splitter?
It’ll split whatever you throw at it. @eastonmadewoodsplitters manufactures this machine.
Ty
That scrap kindling you just burn you should sell that out to guys like that brewery for starter wood. Can't see just burning it for nothing.
I separate out the kindling for sales. Never tried to sell all that stuff
We have a 7 way box wedge on our splitter. It works super awesome but it makes a super pile of trash.
Yep nice straight wood helps but the scraps are inevitable
Where about are you located in ct I’m in Torrington
I’m south of you around Bridgeport
Dan's 37d conveyor speed is not adjustable, is your's? She could stand on a short large round
I haven’t seen any speed adjustment, I will get her a step stool.
@@DudeRanchDIY how's the air down there? Looks like Beijing here in WNY w faint smoke smell
@@brandonhoad9033 very smokey, pretty distinct smell of smoke all day yesterday. And I wasn’t burning in the barrel 😂
Jake - I’m new to your channel. Any particular reason for burning your scraps; or just to get rid of them ? Thnx…
I separate out the “kindling pieces” I burn them so as not to accumulate a big pile.
I think you are cheating now Jake, that splitter is a beast. You need a cup holder for the Coors banquets.
Haha it has one! 😂
hi I am Bob the new guy
Hey there Bob! Thanks for stopping by
……why is wife(?) wearing rings’ whilst splitting wood?
Because she is the boss!
.way to slow
Compared to what
I think you just lost one of your jobs. To your fiancee and drink plenty of water and congratulations on your upcoming wedding
She can run the machine as often as she’d like! Thank you
Sarah would have a ton more leverage standing on a one foot platform. Not just a stool or ladder, a pallet one foot tall.
If I could get her to help more I’d build her a platform.
