Yes, the disability office has to actually have the medical evidence showing you actually had the stem cell transplant before the claim can be approved. It's a complicated program. I wouldn't worry about your youtube channel exploding in monetization. CZcams is a passion of yours and if your channel does blow up, you of course could toggle your monetization off for half a month so it doesn't go over your pay threshold.

regarding possibly putting your youtube channel in your son's name, you could instead pay him a salary monthly to do a few tasks for you every month related to your channel and pay him as an independent contractor 1099 instead of just putting your channel in his name. Then of course you would write that off your yearly taxes so you wouldn't go over your threshold. Honestly that would be easier than just transferring the channel in his name.
Have you thought about setting up a Go Fund Me account and posting the link on your channel? That would help your financial situation. Would the affect your financial requirements for disability/Medicaid or would those funds be exempt from those programs since they’re donations?

Yeah that has been a thought or possibly switch ownership of the channel to one of my kids

I believe disability is retroactive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
