Thank you to the wonderful Dave Kerr for being the voice of Akaiyo! You may know Dave from voicing many monsters such as Furcorn, Screemu and Whajje. It was an honour to work with him!
I’ve tried to improve the looping of the previous animations so hopefully they look better now, and I’ll try to keep improving things as the series continues. I am new to animating and am still learning.

Dave Kerr was the original creator of msm. Then he left the team but he still supports the community.

No one knows for sure how its shell manages to maintain its obsidian-like gleam, but some suggest it uses its sparse head hair to clean it. Another debated subject of the Akaiyo is if it really has two mouths, or just a singular mouth. In reality, these debates are pointless when the real show here is the powerful chants the Akaiyo shouts which gives it its name.

Now THIS is a bio, most fans either make short as hell bios, boring bios with little interesting information about the monster in question or gender them despite being species, not individuals (and not having any good or important reasons for being an individual even if they could be one). You on the other hand made a bio that felt very real and akin to the style of wording BBB often gives to their bios.

one minor thing is you can’t really hear Turhi well in track 2 of Akaiyo, but I’m still really excited to see where this series is going as it’s making an already good island better.

I appreciate your commitment to sticking to the same format that msm uses with its sprite sheets (no hyper smooth animations since you're using a separate sprite for each- in this instance- mouth frame) it really adds to the official feeling of the monsters!

Akaiyos are built to handle the hardest challenges, the roughest dares, the loudest gatherings... well, maybe not that last one. Akaiyos actually don't like loud sounds, but on Wublin Island, they're more than glad to join in the song! It is true that their sound does come from an unusual part of their body, they use it to their advantage as they can wag their tail up to really stand out from the crowd, but it does have to relax every once in a while, not every monster can handle the craziness of Wublin Island for so long.. but their soundproof shell makes it very easy to fall sound asleep!
