Really, Siyeon control is sooo good. Her low voice is so stable when her high note is still so soft. Not hurting ears at all even if i turned the volume to max. I know she can scream her voice out more than this but since this is a duet, she just did it well. Her accent is also sooo good.

For me, the fact she choose to harmonize the other singer instead of battling her singing already make doughnut win my standing applause. She should've win.
I love doughnut's tone color more tbh. Not saying that cupcake's voice is not good, she's also great. But the only thing distinct to her is the clarity of her voice. With doughnut though, gosh the way she hits the high notes is so smooth and satisying. Plus the vibrato and control she has in her voice. This is my opinion only, no hate pls. Spread love ❤️

for technique i think cupcake is better, cupcake is sunday from CSJH The Grace, and she is clearly has better techniqur than siyeon, even siyeon haven't supported range
Siyeon doesn't have good technique, the cupcake is better, but i prefer Siyeon's timbre by far ngl.

Most or all the shows in Korea are rigged by bigger companies anyways.
They monopolise like this and drag people with true talent down and people who are *cough* well alright but are more favored by the big companies will 100% win. These favoured people only need a mediocre performance and they'll make it. Doesn't matter how far the opposing outshines them they'll get rigged and put in the position where they'll lose etc.

I'm an InSomnia, and I can understand why Siyeon (barely) lost. Cupcake's vocal timbre suits the song a bit better than Siyeon's imo. I think it was a matter of song choice. In terms of technique and accent, I think Siyeon did better, though.

I disagree. The song is by Whitney Houston who has a deeper voice like Siyeon. Cupcake was more theatrical vs somber like the original song.

Siyeon has vocal on SM level, this video prove! She sang with a SM artist here (Cupcake is Sunday from The Grace from SM). Especially, considering that Siyeon is competing against her senior (The Grace debuted in 2005). Also I saw that the judges (or some of them) thought that Siyeon was an experienced singer not a kpop idol, which shows how good Siyeon is.
Another fact is that The Grace has one of or maybe the best vocal girl group in SM and k-pop
