their music is mostly dance and rap, so that isn't happening anytime soon.
a huge issue with a lot of itzy songs is how lia is forced to sing outside her natural register. just letting her sing in her comfort range makes her vocals so much better. its like using a knife as a fork. it can get the job done but that isnt what it was made for.

Lia has an amazing sultry voice. Great low to mid range which most kpop artists don’t have. She can hit high notes as well, but some really high ones can be hard for her to maintain. Given that so many kpop songs love high notes, I can’t wait for her to sing something she’s comfortable with. She makes me so proud watching her all these years. Keep fighting!
The problem is that Lia's voice would work very well on the international market but not on the Korean market because he clearly prefers high-pitched voices, which is very sad.

And you're right, her type of voice is currently the most popular internationally right now. I really do hope Lia didn't take a break out of frustration with the company... or if she does, be able to do what she wants in the time away.
@@UchihABitachi She went on hiatus because she has severe anxiety. A lot of idols have anxiety problems but Lia's anxiety is very bad, especially before performances. She has to lock herself in the bathroom to meditate just to keep herself together enough to perform. She was sick but tried to push herself and finish Kill My Doubt and Ringo promotions, but when ITZY got notified of a 2nd world tour and a 3rd album release in 2023, she knew she wouldn't be able to handle it anymore. She finally decided that she needs professional help and a lot of rest and healing. I don't think it was out of frustration with how JYPE managed her and ITZY.

Lia's biggest strength is her vocal tone. It's so beautiful to the ears, sweet and calming. Not too many people appreciate how beautiful she sounds. She has the best tone in Itzy. Her notes are easy to listen to.

there’s a lot of technicality in her voice made her become the main vocalist of the group ITZY, being the main vocalist in the team doesn’t necessarily requires a singer to be able to hit high notes, it’s about technicality

I don't understand others when they say that Lia can't sing. She has the prettiest voice, the only thing that the band concept doesn't suit her voice, she made for sing ost. she's perfect, I love to hear her sing and she amazed me all the time😍😍😍
Lia has different way of attacking notes that's what makes her a great vocalist. The way she makes the song her own is just so amazing. This will definitely open a lot of ost opportunities.
She already has 3 amazing OST studio tracks in her discography. I hope she gets even more OST opportunities because her voice is perfectly suited for those kind of emotional ballads.
Lia's voice is so incredibly rare, unique, versatile, and special. JYPE doesn't know how to properly utilize her amazing talents to its fullest. They overworked her and ITZY, and now she's recovering from severe anxiety. 😢
I'm so proud. After years of being criticized as a singer, Lia have gone through much hates and criticisms that caused her lose her confidence. Lia comes out more stronger now, with confidence and trust to her abilities. Her voice gotten more stable, and I hope she continuously receive many ost offers, because all of her ost songs is so amazing to listen to, it's all on my playlist and I even downloaded it on my phone. Hopefully, maybe not now, but maybe soon, Lia debuts as soloist too with this kind of genre's that will showcase her vocal and color.

Many people are impressed when a female singer reaches a G5, for example, but being (this hypothetical person) a soprano, she manages to reach this note in a mixed voice without problems, it won't be perfect, it will probably be very tense, forced and possibly yelled, but she can do it. She can because the human standard is to have at least two octaves of vocal range (less than that is extremely rare), so anyone who practices high notes with proper support will obviously be able to hit those notes. Lily from NMIXX is living proof of this, she has the shortest vocal range of the group (proven), but she is the singer who sings the high notes and that's precisely because she has the longest supported range of the group, so it's easier for her to reach high notes with more appropriate vocal placement (even though this note is above your supported range, for example).
@@ObvHanniStanyes you can, i widen my range compared to last year. My highest belt before was only E4. Not i can belt C5, and mixed up to Bb5.

Why some of the comments are about high notes? Hitting high notes will not make you a great vocalist. A great vocalist is all about technicality and how beautiful the tone you produce. Others can hit high notes but not sounded beautifully. The way lia attacks low and high notes is just so beautiful. That's why a lot praise it for sounding beautifully and uniquely.
I know that Lia's voice is really good but hearing her voice and singing here, she's incredibly great. It's an other side of Lia, she is really really good and her voice doesn't need any editing to make it good. I can't really express in words on how to explain how great she is❤❤❤❤❤❤. #lia #itzy

To be fair, Lia does get a lot of good lines in ITZY songs, especially their softer, slower songs and ballads. It's just that they're not promoted nor performed except during concerts and special events/holidays.
JYPE did make Lia and ITZY sing way out of their range for many years. They've relaxed with that in the past year though.
