Them killing off more OG characters and introducing younger ones is what's limiting my enjoyment.
It’s more so that these new characters are mostly hollow shells who exist purely for social / meta commentary. I feel bad because some of the actors have great potential, but they’re having to work with awful scripts.

I really tried to give these new Marvel shows and movies a chance, but it started to feel like a chore just to get through the season because of the cringe
I checked out from the tv shows long ago. Same old formula, starts off promising then quickly descends into nonsensical writing.
I laughed at this video more than the movies “jokes”
This is why the older the movies, the better they are. My favourites are Captain America the first avenger and Iron man 2008 for a fucking reason.
Iron Man is in my top 3.

Ngl having Infinity War as the ending for the MCU would be great. Sad for the missed potentials of the many characters to be introduced to the silver screens but I'd much rather have that than this. Its all going down the toilet😭
Tbf, as a spectacle, Endgame was successful and a nice send off for the characters. The story might be a mess, but you’re absolutely right it was all downhill from there.

Phase 4 didn't ruin Wanda in the slightest.
- She joined Hydra (THE MOTHERFUCKING NAZIS!!!!!) willingly because she hated Tony over something he had literally nothing at all to do with, and all she would've had to do to find that out is google his goddamn name.
- She maliciously mind-raped Tony to make him create Ultron, ergo every death in that movie is her fault
- She sent Hulk on a homicidal rampage.
- She only turned on Ultron to save her own skin, and gaslit Steve into protecting her (which it is baffling that he fell for considering his fucking title).
- the narrative of AoU gaslit you by having Clint, who should have killed her on the spot after his experience with Loki, show her sympathy.
- I won't necessarily say refusing to sign the Accords by itself is a sign of evil, but when you realize the only reason she didn't is because they were designed specifically to stop people like her, it suddenly becomes obvious.
- she slammed Vision through five floors of reinforced metal because he was trying to help her (which he should not have, because he was created from JARVIS, who Wanda was directly responsible for the death of)
- she full-on tried to kill Tony and Nat during the airport fight, and scolded Clint for not killing Nat.
- CW gaslit you into feeling bad for her by framing her FINALLY getting punished on the Raft as something you should feel bad about.
- her refusal to kill Vision to save the universe is astoundingly selfish, but I guess from an unbiased perspective it can't be held against her (as desperately as I want to with how much I hate her)
Enslaving and torturing thousands of people because she is sad and then killing hundreds of others is 100% in character for her.
With all the characters death that we had to endure in the infinity war duology I didn’t know how well I was gonna be able to handle MCU content going forward, however after phase 4 I REALLY don’t know how well I’m gonna be able to handle MCU content going forward!
It’s just parody at this point. Treasure the things you love in the MCU, and if future projects take away from this, reject them.
Phase 4 has me looking at disco-dancing Emo Parker and Eric Bana Hulk like a lost golden era. 🤦

To be fair, America was just a kid, and inexperienced with her powers.
My criticism was that there really wasn’t much substance to her character, outside of the many screams she did (which were well acted I’d say). The meme clip afterwards was me being hyperbolic.

They made America Chavez, one of the coolest younger Avengers, into a screaming final girl.
MCU should have ended with the legendary finale, which was Endgame. Felt like the end of the MCU. Plus, it’s the best MCU film imo and still is. And after that, they made a Multiverse saga, which feels subpar compared to the Infinity Saga. The only good ones in Multiverse saga is NWH and GOTG 3. Future has only few promising ones like Deadpool 3. Rest are not hyped to begin with like The Marvels or Ironheart. I miss the Endgame era. 😢 I would be able to see those beautiful shots, legendary finale, and have insane amounts of fun in theaters like I did back in 2019, when I first saw it.
Well said, and I wholeheartedly agree. When I first heard the title "Endgame", I immediately assumed it would be the last MCU film, and thus mark the end of what was, at the time, an amazing superhero megaseries. Marvel should have quit while they were ahead. Instead, they destroyed their own legacy, not to mention Stan Lee's, for the sake of 'inclusion' and 'diversity'

At this point I think is more about money laundering than movies
Not even, I think it's about selling toys and making the movies enjoyable for kids, look at the design of Thor's armor, those bright ass colors look goofy, but slap it on a Thor action figure and kids will beg their parents for it. Then look at the overly goofy stuff like the screaming goats, kids would find that funny. Then add the fact that nobody can die, and every movie is up against world or universe level threats, just goes to show you.
The Memory Store comes off like a first year film student hearing "Show, don't tell" for the first time and taking it too literally. Regardless, wouldn't a flashback have worked just as well and been cheaper than building an entire set for that one scene?

The CGI is inexcusably bad. The TV series has a *little* more of an excuse but the millions of dollars movie is worse than what I saw from 2010 CZcams effects. Wtf? Black Widow and Thor had no reason to look as bad as they did. Why are they dropping the ball so much?
From what I can gather the VFX artists are being held to unrealistic deadlines in order for the MCU to pump out all this content in such a short period of time. Quantity is being prioritised over quality in every aspect.

A lot of people are faulting the actors and filmmakers for this... mess, and I'll just say that's unfair. Don't blame the people trying their best. Blame idiots like Bob Iger. It's alright to bring in more diverse characters, but don't do it JUST to try to raise your own status. That's why Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are basically going to war with Disney just so Deadpool 3 doesn't change and remains the epic film they want us to have. Also, it's worth saying that, despite Disney's best efforts, there is still good, maybe not perfect but still good, content in the MCU, including: Moon Knight (Trust me), Hawkeye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, both seasons of Loki, most of Falcon And The Winter Soldier (If you ignore those two lines at the end), WandaVision (Ignore Monica), Echo (People are saying it's bad just for the sake of complaining) and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness (Ignore some stuff.). All in all, not too bad.
Tbh korg is one of the only things I liked about love and thunder, and Christian bale obvs. But even korg looks worse than he did in ragnarok and endgame

Also Sam is oppressed because he once got racially profiled by cops who had actually come to arrest his white friend.
Have first black Captain America lecturing people on "doing better" and white privelege. Have Bucky Barnes (dude captured by Nazis in WW2, experimented on, tortured, has memory erased, frozen, braiwashed and forced to kill people for arguably the *least* priveleged character in the MCU) apologizing for his White Privelege so Sam Wilson will graciously help him with his his PTSD. By telling him to "do better" as well.
Also MCU writers: popular legacy character who was in all 3 of the previous Captain America movies is not going to be in the 4th one because..... (we don't want white dude overshadowing the First Black Captain America) [insert other totally made up reason here]
I love how more than half of this video is the new Marvel, meaning the old Marvel(Endgame and before) was actually good. (Excluding Ant Man & the Wasp; heck that movie.)
