@@helenasouza9196 I base it off of American rappers tho. Eminem can't sing for shit, yet he's an amazing rapper. I just love her voice and wish she was more confident in singing but I know it takes time. Most rappers I've seen in kpop are actually phenomenal at singing, Suga, Soyeon, Changbin, Han, and there's probably 20 more I can't think of

Actual rappers usually meant to be rappers, they're not picking rap as skill because they want to be performers, but are tone deaf. They have something to say and are actually musically gifted, but they are not interested in singing. Idols are more interested in image, in looking "badass" and "girl crush", usually they know they can not sing, so they strive to be rappers, sometimes the company will pick someone to be a rapper. Moonbyul's situation is somewhat unique in the sense that she was supposed to be a vocalist and her training was focused on her being a vocalist (obviously she's not The only idol rapper that can sing, I'M pointing out The *HOW* she came to be a rapper) , but then the company put her with Solar, Hwasa and Wheein. And I imagine it was something like "okay among vocal titans who's the weakest/ who's the best rapper?" and that's my point, most idol rappers know they cant sing to save their lives and it's alright. They are fine with it, we are fine with it. It's just that poor Moonbyul ends up being lumped with the. When she's primarily a vocalist. 😂😂😂😂
She is! Let's also not forget that she actually doesn't really like rapping, and prefers singing instead (but since Mamamoo needed a rapper, she filled the spot, and I must say, really well, she's an amazing rapper).
