What's the deal with being grossed out by seeing someone's feet? LOL
Does Jane look at her own feet? Or that doesn't bother her? Great reaction though
How do you know it was Gabriel that pushed Angela out of the building?
Constantine is a Sorcerer of the Mystic Arts. He deals (specializes) in the Supernatural, Occult. There was a TV series on NBC in the early 2010's , I believe it lasted 2 seasons. However, the actor that played Constantine reprised the role when he was cast in DC's Legends of Tomorrow around season 4 or 5 .
For u both since u asked about your eternity in Heaven or Hell. czcams.com/video/TCSUKIhjevo/video.html 6 min animation video about it. LOVE you both ❤️📺👍
Awesome movie
One of my favorites... Most underrated Keanu Reeves movie!
I heard he is opening to make a Constantine sequel. I hope it doesn’t fail to surprise us.
Constantine 2 currently in production
Johnny mnemonic..
This version of Constantine doesn't get enough love. It's a lot more religious and he has like religious fueled powers whereas the actual Constantine is really strong on magic and stuff like that. It's not comic accurate but it's still a good character and you can also make them two different characters. But no in the back story of the actual Constantine won't help much with this guy. Because the backstory is completely different
I personally love this version. He is my favourite Constantine.
I've heard this movie got some hate because it wasn't faithful to the comics, but if that's what the difference is about, then I'm glad they changed it! I love his character here.
I was today years old when I realized this!!! Like he really does not do magic at all. How did I miss that?!
Multiverse;
Constantine from Liverpool, England
meets
Constantine from Las Angeles, California
Coming soon:
Constantine Part 2.
Keanu Reeves has been confirmed that he will reprise the character in a future film, and Francis Lawrence will be directing the film.
I've been waiting on part 2 for years
Yeah so awesome. Keanu has said for years that he would really like to see a Constantine 2 come into fruition. I'm psyched.
Didn't they like decide not to do it? I mean, very recently, they were saying that the studio didn't want to do it and cancelled Constantine 2.
@@johnnk3256 It was announced in September 2022, and will be produced by J.J. Abrams.
@@johnnk3256 As of six days ago, they announced that it's still moving forward, which is pretty rad news!
The scene when time stops and Lucifer comes to collect John's soul is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. John is arrogant enough to think that Lucifer will come personally to collect his soul and he is RIGHT. And then Lucifer cures John's cancer just to keep him from going to heaven.
It has nothing to do with arrogance. He is told earlier in the movie that Lou will come up personally to collect his soul.
@@vtmuseumyeah but there is no way in hell to know for certain it is only a humor at that time so it is still a big gamble
@@pizzaroneeeTell me you didn't understand the movie, without telling me you didn't understand it.
I love a superhero movie that doesn't look like a superhero movie
Me too
That would be because it's not a superhero movie. Just because Constatine is a character in a comic book does not make him a superhero. To be a superhero movie some one would need super powers, no one in this film does. It's a supernatural film.
Constantine is not superhero. Constantine is from vertigo comic, his comic names is trailblazer. he is supernatural detective doing everything because he were condemned from entering paradise or hell. that's why Satan, demon and devil jealous of him. they keep messing with him because of this.
Constantine shows has pretty accurate lore than this movie but this movie has better visual and dialogues. WB bought vertigo comic in 2005 same year as this movie were released, that's why this movies doesn't feels like superhero movie at all. vertigo comic is known to have adult and mature themes than DC comics. Beside this movie, swamp thing (1982), V from vendetta (2005), road to perdition (2002), A History of violence (2004) and watchmen (2009) is under vertigo comics. sadly vertigo comic were absorbed into DC in 2009 and WB previous regime single handedly close vertigo comics in 2018
so good bye good mature themes comic and hello mediocrity. today, dark horse comic is the last mature and adult themes comic left, there's might be another one beside dark horse but it doesn't impact Hollywood at all
P:S justice league dark were created in 2009. it's has changeable characters similar to suicide squad. main character is zatanna from batman comic and Constantine tend to be protagonist on most of adaptation. new 52 has great issues of Justice league dark and just stop reading after second mission because it's turned bad halfway after that like everything from new 52 era.

@@alexfaye8799 explain Batman....😂
It's sad that some people don't even know the existence of this amazing movie .
1:00:50 I came up with an interesting theory that when at this moment John flew to heaven, Lucifer could not even move, but when John showed him the middle finger, he showed pride or mockery of Lucifer, which is why Lucifer was able to move towards him and grab him. If John had just walked away with humility, he would have gone to heaven.
Perhaps this is just a coincidence in the footage of the film, and this meaning was not intended by the authors.
I'm really glad you two were there to help chant. Thank you for saving the world. We won't forget the heroic deeds of these two reactors.
😂
Hahahahaha 😂
Most reactors for this movie don't stay to the end for what became of Kramer . But you guys surprisedly caught it ! 😇🥰😇
If you liked this movie, you guys should definitely watch The Devils Advocate when you get a chance. Great plot, great cast, and amazing acting!!
I'M A FAN OF MAN!! 😂💯
The actor/singer playing Blathazar is Gavin Rossadale who is the lead singer/guitarist of the rock band BUSH and ex husband of Gwen Stephanie who is the lead singer of the band No Doubt.
I know Gavin did some acting but he's really great in this. I wonder how he even got the part for this movie
4:15 Keanu has played John Constantine, John Wick, Johnny Utah, Johnny Mnemoic, John “Jack” Traven, Don Jon, Jonathan Harker, John Rain, Johnny Silverhand, John Wall, and probably more characters named John.
The effects in this movie have aged really well
Really has
It's some sort of a 'trope' in Constantine comic books that if you're friends with Constantine, you're gonna die, because in the comics, most of his friends are indeed, dead. So what happened in this movie was a nod to that.
Also, the post-credit scene revealed what happened with Chaz Kramer.
Constantine was originally a character from Vertigo Comics in a series called Hellblazer, but is now in the DC Universe. Apparently the DC Constantine series of comics aren't as good. This Constantine movie is its own thing, not set in any particular comic canon. The Vertigo logo is seen at the beginning breaking apart and dusting away.
Wow no many reactors reacted to this movie Bravo. Reactors today don't seem to understand that there are other Keanu Movies beside John Wick and The Matrix. To Name a few : Speed , Point Break , The Devil Advocate and Chain Reaction. Also a great unknown comedy with Keanu is The Night Before 1988 . Also another movie like this is End Of Days 1999
Bill and ted keanu’s comedy movie back in the 90s
Bram Stokers Dracula
Y'all definitely have to watch The Devil's Advocate
Ive seen at least a dozen other reactors watch this and speed.
@@JessJai TDA is one of his top 3 best films
Such an underrated movie in my opinion. I remember seeing this in the theater and loving it and thinking this is gonna be huge. Glad it's getta sequel I hear. Well deserved
I think the new management of WB killed it but I hope they figure something out
Keanu said in an interview if he could make a sequel to any of his movies he would make a Constantine sequel and with marvel just trying to find a role for him in their universe it put pressure on dc to maybe do it wasn't box office gold but became a cult classic so maybe possible
"A lot of bullets in there."
A standard service side arm will carry 17 rounds in the magazine, plus one in the chamber. I have a sub-compact which normally carries 13+1, but I modified the followers in my magazines so it carries 14+1. Semiautomatic pistols carry a lot of ammunition.
This movie is soo good and def underrated for sure.
taken off an Redit post "John Wick - John Wick
Johnny Mnemonic- Johnny Mnemonic
Point Break - Johnny Utah
Bram Stoker’s Dracula - Jonathan Harker
Constantine - John Constantine
Speed - Jack Traven (Jack is a traditional form of John)
Generation Umm - John
Much Ado About Nothing - Don John" He has played a lot of characters named John or Jon
Basically how DC works:
When dealing with magic wonderwoman deals with them but if it's dark magic then batman consults Constantine, Zatanna etc.
Of course Constantine has his own thing in his solo universe which sometimes connects to the multiverse.
There are realms beyond the multiverse Heaven, Hell, and more that are owned by the endless who are outerversal beings. Hell is ruled by Lucifer and run by demons who Constantine deals with.
Heaven is ruled by God who created everything.
If you guys want to know what’s the life he took I recommend the series (Constantine 2015) it’s amazing even though it’s a CW production you wouldn’t be disappointed, it’s something else
Yes the series Constantine was fantastic. Hate it only got one season.
Wasn't the life he took his own?
the life he took in this movie was his own, he was a suicide so he goes to hell
The actor from the series is to Constantine as RDJ is to iron man. He looked like he walked straight out of the Justine League dark animation.
@@xenicmark Yeah, you could say Matt Ryan is born to play Constantine. Idiots are sleeping on Ryan as he’s getting older and older, and they are wasting money making another non-canon Constantine with Keanu. I really like the Keanu Constantine but I’d rather see all that money going for a Constantine reboot with Netflix Sandman kinda of production quality starring Matt Ryan.
Starting to watch now, and hoping they watched the post credits scene.
Edit: ✨️💛
Claw-foot tubs like that are not porcelain, they are cast iron covered with enamel. So for her to break it, she has to have been at least temporarily imbued with enhanced strength, and also enhanced resistance to not break her bones.
grew up watching it with my dad and love it and can't wait for the next one to come
Masterpiece ever. Constantine is very underrated but is very great film. Greatness
My friend and I snuck into the theater to see this…We had zero idea who Constantine was or that he was a DC character etc. We just thought the trailer looked cool. That was such a good decision hahaha it became one of our favorite movies of the time.
It isn't about "being good" it's about having complete "Faith" guys!
we need a "JUSTIN!" counter lol
Watching their reactions for a while and I can see that Jane doesn't like a lot of things! 😆
She doesn't like feet lol
Francis Lawrence is so underrated, this was his debut film

"Slap her"
Bhahahahaha.. girl you got me good with that one. Gosh i chockle🤚😂
Spear of Destiny aka Spear of Longinus. The spear that a Roman soldier used to pierce Christ's side at his crucifixion. His blood sanctified the spear. That soldier became Saint Longinus. Gabriel was resentful of humans because they have free will, but angels are subservient to the will of God.
The "skinny fellow with the fat friend" was a reference to Abbott and Costello
Wasn’t there a post credit or deleted scene with shia’s character ending up an angel?
Whenever she's like "Justin!" I'm always cracking up. Do something, Justin! Don't just stand there and watch
If you haven't seen it yet I recommend "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams, that film is pretty incredible and has a very unique depiction of heaven and hell, just a warning it's very emotional.
Definitely.👍
Apart from not being British and not having blond hair, I like this underrated film. The Spear of Destiny aka The Holy Lance, also known as the Lance of Longinus (named after Saint Longinus), the Spear of Destiny is the lance that pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross during his crucifixion. There is an extension to the film where you see Kramer become an angel.
100% love for Peter Storemare playing Lucifer!
That was an entrance at the end! Oh my! 🔥🔥🔥
This isn't in another universe. Its the same as Batman and Supermans universe. Batman kinda knows about the supernatural and Superman doesn't and they both don't believe in the supernatural until John shows them in most stores.
Pinky and the Brain! hahahahahaha It's Abbot and Costello.
When you're living if you sin you have to ask for forgiveness before you go to hell , once you're there that's it, it's a wrap.
Peter Storemare is by far the best version of Lucifer out there, but Tom Ellis also did a great job. I cant wait for the sequel.
No love for Viggo Mortensen?
@@kartaan My personal favorite Satan, even above Pacino.
There's a youtube of different portrayals of the devil. Roddy MacDowall in "Fantasy Island" tv series was good, and Jeff Goldblum in "Mr Frost" movie.
Constantine is one of my favorite movies. I am surprised they never made any sequels until just recently? That there will be a part 2. Don't know when though.
anything happens* JUUUUSTIIIN!!!!! I love it
48:44 OMG, I never caught that and I've seen this movie like a dozen times! Good catch!
I think some people when they saw this film failed to understand that water in Constantine's universe operated as universal conduit in the sense that it was a medium allowing easier transport for a person's spirit to other realms/dimensions of existence and not the physical body necessarily; which would explain why a ceremony like baptism holds so much significance in religious institutions. But in Hell, since there is no presence of water the common medium available to demons or inhabitants there of to escape is through means of possession of physical bodies on humans plane of existence. I am certainly anticipating the sequel for Constantine and I wonder if Peter Stormare will be returning to reprise his role.
- There was also a TV series "Constantine" based on "Hellblazer" that lasted 1 13-epicode half-season before being cancelled. This was retroactively incorporated into the CW Arrowverse of the "Arrow" and "The Flash" TV series', with the actor who starred in the "Constantine" series reprising the role as a guest star in episodes of "Arrow" and "The Flash", and eventually becoming a regular cast member on "Legends of Tomorrow". Additionally, when Constantine takes Flash and Green Arrow to Hell, the actor playing Lucifer is the same actor from the FOX series "Lucifer" (3 good seasons by FOX + 3 crappy seasons by Netflix, all 6 seasons on Netflix). "Lucifer" is based on a Dark Horse comic (owned by DC).
- The actor who voices Constantine for the cartoons, like "City of Demons' is the same one from the TV series and from the Arrowverse.
- The actress who voices Vixen for the cartoons also plays Vixen when she appears in "Arrow" and "The Flash", and the actors from "Arrow" and "The Flash" do the voices for their characters in the Vixen cartoons.
- There was also a "Human Target" TV series that lasted 2 seasons. Christopher Chance also appears in the Arrowverse shows.
If you quit smoking for 7 years, you MAY have normal lungs. Most of the time, depending on how long the person has been smoking, and how much, there can be scarring to the lung tissue that will not heal properly, resulting in permanent reduction in lung capacity/function.
also while playing the same charecter there are 2 versions of Constantine one Keanu plays and one played by Matt Ryan who has played him the most times both in animation and live action
You missed the credit scene of Constantine placing his lighter on Chaz's gravestone and the angel Chaz getting it.
We saw it
Fun fact: The bounty hunter 'Domino' is sitting in the night club scene
Turning water into wine 🍷
I actually didn't catch that.
So the half demon was doing a perversion at one of Christ's miracle.
Shocked to see jane knew about filipino culture like “mano po” 😁
This is one of my favorite Keanu Reeves movies even though it wasn't a big hit at the box office. And the second movie is on the way we don't know if it's coming out 2024-25 this character is popularity has skyrocketed in the last few years. Matt Ryan's portrayal of the character which had his own short lived TV show and also was on Legends of tomorrow and even crossed over with Lucifer. I believe this is made the character a lot more mainstream. I've been reading about Constantine forever great comic book character the comic is called Hellraiser. Great review guys as always
Drum-roll --> Los Angeles; the City of Angels...
She said I don’t know about you… 😂
In the Hellblazer series that Constantine stars in Chas is one of the only ppl to survive being Johns friend.
A famous quote from Hellblazer is John saying "he'll kick your demons while they're down and do any and everything to save you, even if it costs every drop of your blood to do it".
Known as The Laughing Magician
Considered a master planner, Batman himself considers Constantine his superior in the art of planning things
His story starts with a failed demon summoning that ending with Constantine holding the arm of the little girl the demon he summoned (to fight off something worse in order to save her) dragged to Hell as payment.
He went mad and did time at Ravenscar Insane Asylum because of it.
After getting terminal cancer he goes to Gabriel for help. Gabriel turns him down and after Constantine tricks the 3 Lords of hell(, 2 demons and what's theorized to be God's conscience, the First of the Fallen) into curing his cancer(by selling his soul to all 3 without them knowing that and forcing them to go to war with each other in order to claim his soul)he tricks Gabriel into sleeping with a shape shifting succubus and chainsaws his wings off after he is subsequently banished from Heaven.
Whacking Justin with your wings was great. You are quick Jane and funny as hell. oops! lol
constantine first appeared in the comic book swamp thing in the mid 1980s as a guy that knew the dark side of the paranormal but was pictured as a semi bad guy that manipulated people and should not be trusted..i had all the comics when i was younger
Balthazar is not a demon but a half-bred as we saw in the liqueur store scene where is faces changes and the clerk's wings appear as John explains it all to Angela.
Watch identity, not only a fanomanal movie but also has that actor and it turns out he really can roll his eyes like that.
I remember a comic where it showed a bunch of multiverse versions of Constantine and one of them had dark hair like the Keanu Reeves one
the one that john talking with in church when you see the she open her wing that's angel name gabriel..only john can see them.
You guys are too cute “Ohhh shucks Frick on a stick” lmfao 😂
When I watched this I didn’t know what to expect and surprisingly liked it.
The whole movie John Constantine says GOD doesn't care about him. Then at the end he sees that he had a Guardian Angel with him the whole time Kramer! That GOD does have a plan for all of us.
Gabriel is a He, one of the archangels, like Michael, Raphael or even Lucifer. He just happens to be played by a brillant Tilda Swinton. Awesome reaction! :)
Angels are sexless, that's why they got Tilda. She nails that androgynous vibes.
@@loveballetmuch We can agree to disagree. I know its hard to hear this in the times we are running, but its a fact. Michael is not sexless, neither is Lucifer or Gabriel. I do love how Tilda played Gabriel, but they are not women.
Loved the reaction as usual but okay where did Jane get her shirt it’s so cute! I need one lol
23:43 Jane: *_"Wow, that was all it took?"_*
Trivia: That piece of fabric/cloth Constantine burned was supposed to have actually belonged to Moses. So it would have been ever rarer than the dragon's breath artifact he was given ealier. And belonging to a Biblical prophet such as Moses, no wonder it incinerated/ banished a whole group of demons in a matter of seconds!
God didn't ignore Constantine, he gave him divine inspiration. Many folks miss that. The shards of glass were there before Constantine prayed for help. After he asked, his eyes immediately find the answer that was quite literally right in front of his face. Constantine was given everything he needed to make his own choice. I love this ending so much because it doesn't underline any of that and the audience is free to choose whether to believe it or not. Kinda like the real world : )
Frick on a stick it's my new favorite saying of all time 😂❤
57:11 The watch is perfectly lined up with the cropped circle.
"Think you qualify to go to heaven?"
- "Me? For sure!"
And just like that, the one-way-ticket to hell got punched.
Pride is one of the deadly sins. 😉
Constantine was created by the great Alan Moore. He was a member of the Justice League Dark.

Archangel. And JACK AND THE FAT MAN was a great show. I love you guys.
You missed the after credits scene, it's worth watching. There were plans in the works for a sequel, really depends on if they decide to move Constantine into the DCEU or leave it as it's own independent thing.
We did not miss the end credit scene. We react to it in this video lol
Apparently you didn't watch through the end of the video because they actually caught the post-credits scene accidentally.
@@SeeJaneGoTV Apologies, missed the last couple of minutes and didn't think you'd seen it since you jumped right into discussion after the main story resolution.

Oh -- The Devil's Advocate for sometime in 2023!!
Constantine, magic, Heaven, and Hell all exist in the DC universe the same way they do in the Marvel universe. It's all there, it just takes different skill sets to deal with. People like Constantine, Zatanna, and Dr Fate handle supernatural and magical threats in DC the same way Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch, and Dr Strange do in Marvel. Hope that helps a bit!
Its like watching my parents watch a movie and i need to tell whats happening as shack my head lol🤦♂️
It was the Juggernaut in X-Men 3 that also ran through walls and good memory remembering that part
@SeeJaneGoTV
What he meant by half in/half out.
Cats walk and see between the physical and spiritual worlds.
They can see ghosts, entities, etc.
Dogs can do it too but cats are better suited and can see more.
Demons have never been humans and they were never angels.
They hae always been demons.
That's just one piece that religion has wrong and that's out of SO MANY!
And they actually do show it.
You got the edited ersion.
Yup Keanu expresses his wish to do another Constantine and I think they heard him.
JUSTIN!! ahahahah I love that line!
-Hannibal King is probably the closest thing to Constantine in Marvel, but he was created 10 years before Constantine was. The only live action version I've seen is by Ryan Reynolds in Blade:Trinity.
-Chas Chandler was Kramer in the comics was older and based in London. He was a brawler and knew some martial arts. He was a taxi driver and was served as Constantine's driver and bodyguard. Also one of his oldest friends.
-Constantine falls into the Supernatural. Justice League Dark handles these things cause the regular Justice League can't...
Hell is about to reign on earth 🔥” that girl is gonna have stretch marks” #priorities lol😂
I love this movie...thank you🥰🥰🥰
Yes there is a part 2 currently in the making
This movie has a special place in my heart
Constantine is from the UK, specifically Britain. In the DC comics universe he is a magic user, not the most powerful magic user but pretty strong. His real strength is how clever and intelligent he is with his magic. He is descended from a long line of magic users. He is also known as the Laughing Magician. He has an ability called the Synchronicity Wave. Essentially he is always where he needs to be and when he needs to be. There's more to it but I don't want to butcher the information. He has tricked some of the most powerful beings in the DC universe. Some of them are as follows: God, the rulers of Hell, New Gods like Darkseid, angels, other gods from different pantheons, and many more. He fights because of something he did when he was younger. He let a demon loose to fight another demon. As payment the demon took a little girl to hell. He dates Zatanna Zatara. He does have a best friend named Chaz as well. You should watch and react to videos on how powerful he is and his backstory. He also gets a lot of his friends killed.
Repentance is not a set of words you just say. It's not a dodge.
The series starring Matt Ryan was pretty good as well. It only lasted one season but they worked him into The Legends of Tomorrow for a while as well.
Also, I had seen this film about 5 times and it wasn't until a few years back I even knew about the post-credit scene since it wasn't common back in the day.
As for Wonder Woman 84.....it is one of the few times I ever talked trash about a film (I usually just focus on the positive when speaking about films, even on my channel). It just didn't land well for me for several reasons. But...hopefully you two will find enjoyment in it that I didn't.
Love this movie. Keanu and Peter Stormare are so good in it. They just announced a second one, it's been so long!
What do you mean a little better (comparing a cop and assasin)!?
And who's Justin?
No the critter demon wasn't a full on demon, it was puppeteering those animals. He was talking about the demon in the girl trying to get out.
Show the video? It's just looks like a woman committing suicide, what is Constantine gonna do with that? The part where she says his name only happened once and isn't in the actual video.
Cats in mythology are very much connected to the divine, Satan and the dead.
