    I bought my husband one of these last year and he loves it. He never complains it doesn't have enough power. He says it is the greatest car he has EVER owned and he has had some nice vehicles. A Cadillac Eldorado, Pontiac Trans Am, Ford Mustang, Chevy Blazer, Jeep Wrangler, Lexus 300 SE, and a BMW 750IL. The Ranger Raptor was a wedding anniversary present. Now I can't wait to see what he gets me next year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

    Picked my ranger raptor out last September. Was skeptical about the engine power but after driving it for awhile I can comfortably say it has more than enough power for everyday driving. My only con about it is I wish it had more torque because it does not shine when trying to over take at around 100-120km/h
    That being said, hands down best truck for me

      I'm buying the old model with 2.0 diesel even there will be a 3.0V6 available shortly. New model is nice, loaded with new tech, but kind of useless tech. Only real pros of the new one are matrix led lights, more spacious cab in the back and more space between wheel arches on the bed. So I hope I wouldn't be disappointed 😀

    now a stupid question. would you it be any substitute to a Hummer H2 driving experience? i have to relocate and leave my H2 behind and ranger raptor is quite popular and gas prices are way too high in the place i will be living in for several years. so i think whether i should consider 2019-2020 ranger raptor as a sort of fun car for myself. would really appreciate your opinion on this rather stupid question=) thanks in advance.

    @Tuned Into Cars! Hi man, cool video! I am living in Stockholm too and recently bought a ranger raptor. I was wondering where I can really test this outside the main roads. Can you give me some tips on places where I can go and drive full off-road ? where did you record your video?

    • @TunedIntoCars
      @TunedIntoCars  Před 3 lety

      You really need to be careful with that as offroading is only permitted in specially designated areas. I think there's a track called Botkyrka Motorklubb that you can try.
      I filmed the video somewhere south of Stockholm but it wasn't an offroad track. It was just a small dirt road connecting two other asphalt roads.

    Despite the engine 2.0 is better than the 3.2, you would expect something else from a Raptor model. Maybe a V6. Even the Amarok has more power than this attempt of Raptor. The car is very cool but it just not fill the name it represents. Also, considering the price difference between a XLT and the Raptor, I prefer to keep my XLT and wait if Ford hears their clients. 250 hp at least. That's what you would expect from a mini Raptor.

    all the car reviewers fail to understand you don't need a freaking V8 or any petrol engine to have fun driving. You all sound so out of touch... Is easy to ask for bigger engines when you don't pay anything, you are just lent the car for some days and that's it. Please, understand that normal people with normal salaries buy these cars and use them on a daily or almost daily basis. Sticking a V8 on a ranger raptor makes zero sense, if you want that just import an f150 raptor from the states

      @adr6245 Před 4 lety +1

      @@TunedIntoCars have you ever heard about financing or lease plans? Don't get me wrong, your review was really good but not liking anything smaller than a petrol V6 doesn't make you more of a car guy nor whatsoever. My unlce is a normal person with a normal salary and has just bought one of these in blue. He is not a rich person and he can afford it so I don't think this is a car for out of touch people. The ones out of touch are car journalists, always asking for big displacement petrol engines. Some people actually buy cars and drive them on a daily basis. You can't keep up a petrol V8 in europe, unless... you are actually rather wealthy

    • @adr6245
      @adr6245 Před 4 lety +1

      by the way, the ford ranger has always been a "humble" pickup truck that could sell worldwide, not only in america. So it makes perfect sense with a 2l engine. If you want the big toy you have the F150 anyway...
      The "Raptor" badge doesn't mean its supposed to be stupid fast. I think car manufacturers sell us products with certain names and marketing strategies and lead to confusion and misunderstanding of the product. Anyway, keep up the good work, I like your videos

    • @TunedIntoCars
      @TunedIntoCars  Před 4 lety

      Dude, I'm saying it again, stop making judgements on people. You have no clue whether or not journalists are out of touch.
      After living with the car for seven days, I tend to agree with journalists. The diesel engine is pointless in such a massive vehicle. It barely pulls the car along, it's noisy and it eats up A LOT of fuel.
      And because it struggles with such a big car, in the end it's not going to be very reliable. I seriously doubt a V8 or better still, a V6, would make any difference in running costs.
