couldn't find a fanvid about these two(or three hahaha), so i made one.
love their interpretation of the bond between alicent and aemond. can't wait to see more of this duo in the coming seasons!

its quite amazing how the king decides to not give any punishment to Luke after he sliced off aemond's eye. At least make him his squire for a few years , teach him the consequences of his actions. Viserys was always a bad father, from the way he chopped off peoples necks and lied continuosly to hide rhaeneyras flaws to the moment where he favoured his grown ass adult daughter over his eye slayed little son. alicent's anger was fully justified
Alicent and aemond did nothing wrong
I think the most defining moment of Aemond's character was when he lost his eye as a child. His mother was literally the only person who gave a shit about that, meanwhile his father was only concerned about why Aemond called his precious grandkids bastards. His mother defended him in any way she knew how, while his father once again showed he favors Rhaenyra over all of his other children (except for maybe Helaena since only type of relationship between the two that we know of is that from the books and there Viserys really loved her). At that point he got in his head that his mother is his only ally, Viserys doesn't care about him and Rhaenyra and her children are his enemies. So now he follows his mother's plans because he probably believes she is the only person who loves him, doesn't give two shits whether Viserys changed his will before his death or not because his father's wishes don't matter to him and is ready to participate in Otto's schemes against Rhaenyra because he hates her and wants her demise. Yet, that last part escalated in a way he never wanted it to and I can't wait to see how he deals with what happened in season 2
Aemond was made an invalid, besides, he could die from a contagion or complications. No matter how strong Aemond grows up as a strong fighter, he will always have a weakness - a blind spot. It's terrible.
And the worst thing is that all black fans are hypocrites. I'm sure if one of the bastards had an eye cut out, then all the black fans would scream about killing Aemond or cutting out his eye too. I think Viserys did just that in this case. And what would Daemon the "saint" do if his eye was cut out.
Viserys does not care about Helaeina, most likely he considers her a second Rhaenyra or confuses her with her.
I am very sorry for all the greens with such a father and relatives. Of all the second children of Viserys, only Daeron lived happily, because he lived with loving relatives on his mother's side.
@@gurunvalgarsdottir6664 Viserys is a deadbeat dad and I love how most of black fans always get pissed when you point that out, despite him being deadbeat dad to their precious Rhaenyra in the beginning too. He only cared about having a son until Aemma died because of it so then he remembered: "Oh yes, I also have a daughter, silly me". He also sucks as husband to both of his wives. He loved Aemma, I'll give him that, but he ordered butchering her alive and she died pleading him not to, all because of a son that died anyway (oh and also, that is the moment our good boy Daemon starts making some uncalled for jokes) and then there is Alicent who gave him four children, spent her entire youth with him and cared for him when he was sick. He couldn't even remember her name, wtf
@@lilyevans5198 During the script reading for this episode, ALL the actors were on Alicente's side, and Emma said in an interview that Rhaenyra was wrong and she was manipulating Viserys. Unfortunately, the audience is stupid and does not understand this.
It infuriates me that blacks are justified and that the screenwriters deliberately introduced the idea of theft of a dragon, on purpose, because people who have not read books do not know that dragons are not slaves, dragons are not inherited and the dragon chooses the rider himself.
The same Aegon did not r*pe anyone in the book, unlike Daemon. This was specially introduced into the series.

Daeron had an arrogant personality, because he was raised in an environment where he was treated as a god. A good warrior and smart strategic, but very bad personality Unlike his brothers
@@gurunvalgarsdottir6664 Agreed. Showrunners pretty much just threw in bunch of dumb anti-green things in order to oversimplify the plot and make Blacks the good guys and Greens villains. Not only did they invent much of anti-green stuff, they constantly leave out all the anti-black ones from book and based on supposed leaks they are going to continue doing both of it in season 2 as well (Blood and Cheese will supposedly just be kidnaping gone wrong, Nettles plot will be completely changed and Aemond will apparently be the one to cause Aegon's injuries during fight with Rhaenys). Still, probably the most ridiculous of all things was adding that white stag subplot. My man, if we are going to believe supernatural forces decide the rightful heirs in Westeros, let me remind you throne kept cutting Rhaenyra in the books
I don't understand all the hate for Alicent, she does everything for her children and loves them like any good mother would do. It is not easy to care for a very ill husband, ruling the realm with politics and everyday work AND raising 3 children all alone.
Because meanwhile Viserys doesn't seem to care for anyone else but Rhaenyra and fails his duty as a father which leads to Aegon not having a father-figure and becoming very disturbed. This is clearly shown in the wagon when he questions that his father never ever believed in him and during his coronation he finally actually felt wanted and needed. Helaena becomes lonely and dreamy and Aemond pent up with feelings of anger and feel betrayed. He was bullied and lost an eye, the ones responsible never even got punished for it, instead he was scorned by his father for simply telling the truth about the bastards.
couldn't agree more! well they can hate all they want but i just love alicent, and nothing will change that. I see her struggle and her fierce love for the children, which will turn into her gut-wrenching agony as it's all downhill from here... nope, not todayyy
hopefully we get to see daeron in s2! but i fear that we may not see his interactions with alicent
You forgot to mention that she was basically pimped out by her father and made to copulate with a rotting corpse. (I get that it was normal among the nobility to use their daughter like that in the world this series is taking place, but it was still inhumane.) People judge her for Aegon's behaviour, claiming she was not a good mother. She literally stand between her son, she did not particularly like, and a f@ckin dragon knowing that she is far from fireproof. If that is not love, I do not know what it is.

She's a childbride and royal broomare. Of course she had more problems raising children.
In a way, Alicent was a single mother. Viserys did not show care or engagement at all with the three children he had with Alicent. He neglected them when they needed him most and only showed attention to Rhaenyra, who was a grown woman by then. Viserys was one of the main causes of the war. He was a good king, but a weak and indecisive man.

i think she loved them despite everything but we can't say she's a good mother (i mean, i think she tried a little bit with Aemond and Helaena, but she wasn't a good mother in my opinion)

it breaks my heart, alicient is a good person and good mother, and she gave her king husband everything he always desried, love affection, three heirs to the throne, and kingdom he always wanted, and still wasnt happy, and set up her three children for slaughter, i wish the author had given her a happy ending, have her fall in love with cole, and cole , alicient and her three kids leave court, and survive

Mothers don't love one children more than the others but they might just have more affinity with some of them, and well, Aegon is a drunk, Heleana is always on her own world, and Dearon is in oldtown, so there is just Aemond left

Believe it or not, Rhaenyra was evil enough to put Alicent's kids and grandkids to the sword to secure her line of succession.
She actually wasn't. In the books, before Luke was killed. Rheanyra offered clemency to her half siblings and the kids. Saying that if they bend the knee and acknowledge her as Queen. Then they wouldn't be punished for Alicent and Otto's crimes. And even offered her brothers positions of authority in her reign.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Rhaenyra wanted Aemond to be *sharply questioned* when he had been stabbed in the eye. It's basic politics, Aegon's sons will always have a stronger claim than Rhaenyra's bastards and Alicent knew it.

@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Bruh, even if we assume Rhaenyra would spare the lives of Alicent's kids if they bend the knee to her, a war of succession is inevitable if Jacaerys has to succeed her. Many Lords of the realm would rally behind Aegon's sons and the realm will be divided anyway. Example- Bloodraven killed Daemon Blackfyre's grandson, War of five kings started because Joffrey was a bastard, etc.
She has Cersei curse,she will watch all her kids diecuz of her mistakes, the worse fate is her daughter, she is given Sophie choice situations , choose between her twins who will live and who will die, and the assassins killed both, and helena goes mad with the grief,

the author could have given alicient an easy out, fall in love with cole, leave court, and live in the countryside alive,with her kids and grandkids alive, but the story already written, and rhaeyra son is not fit for the throne
Nah, all of Cersei's kids were bastards and Cersei was a whørë. Don't insult Alicent like that. She's a good mother. All of her kids are trueborn and she never cheated on Viserys.
